Debut of Mizuki the Silver Sheep

Walking up to the beach and crounching down to touch the water, Mizuki scooped it up with her hand but then frowned.

The water was draining her mana at a scary pace. At most it would take 2 minutes for her entire reserves to deplete.

'This might be troublesome.'

"Oi! Young lady there by the water!"

Standing up and looking behind her, Mizuki saw a middle aged man with black hair green eyes and a slightly worried look on his face.

Theman was walking towards her with a quick step but stopped for a second on account of Mizukis face before resuming.

"Ey little lass I would recommend not trying to go for a swim if I were you."

"Why is is that?"

"The oceans near this continent are notorious for sucking out mana out of all living beings below tier 5 in a matter of moments and seeing as you look relatively young I had guessed that you are in fact not a tier 5."

"Thank you for your worry and no I am not besides that may I ask a question?"

Mizuki was acting relatively timid. The reason for this is that..

'This man.'

'He is unbelievably dangerous.'

"Ask away lass."

"If the water sucks out mana then how can people cross the continents? Flight does not seem to be an option because water can evaporate and the particular reason for sucking up mana should be present in the sky too, no? Also, if mana can't be used around here then how can you fend off against pirates?"

Hearing all of this the man raised his brows in slight suprise.

'We got a suprisingly smart one here.'

"To your first question. We use ships, most ships used are old school ships with not an ounce of mana on them but there are some pirate crews with either blessed or cursed ships that roam the waters with a few benefits. Second, yes. The clouds around this continent do indeed suck away mana aswell. Third, we use regular old cannons, guns and swords."

"Hmm~. Thank you for the information kind sir." said Mizuki with a smile before walking away before turning around, giving a small wave and leaving.

Waving back to the girl the man thought.

'An interesting lass indeed. Could make a good addition to the crew. But too young.'

Unknown to Mizuki the man she had talked to was infact known as Jackson the Sharpened Emerald the captain of the ship Jaded Blade and a pirate lord of the southern seas who had come to this town to look for promising lasses and lads to add onto a new ship in his division.

Heading towards the guild to pick up some information on local pirate crews, Mizuki bought an apple and was eating it on her way.

'I haven't really gotten 'full' from normal food or water. Maybe I do need mana crystals to not starve.'

Reaching the guild she entered and walked to the nearest receptionist.

"Hello there. I need info on some of the local ongoings due to being new around here."

"Ah! Hello. Sure, what do you need? Are you perhaps here to sign up to be a marine or to join a division?"

"No. I just told you what I wanted."

The receptionist blushed and looked down. She had not listened to what Mizuki had said because she was busy admiring the cute lady infront of her.

".. may you repeat what you wished for?"

"Fine." Mizuki let out a sigh and repeated what she was here for.

"Ah! Yes, ofcourse. Currently a few military divisions are going around and recruiting promising young people to join the war against the 9 pirate lords. Besides that there are some sightings of pirates around but nothing to be concerned about. It's not like a pirate lords crew will show up."

"Thanks. That will be all for now, bye."

"Goodbye. Oh, and be vary of slave traders, they have a nak for trying to capture beast kin."

Finding an inn Mizuki bought a room for five days and went to rest.

In the morning when she woke up she started thinking.

'The weapons used on the seas are your ships main weapons the cannons and the weapons you carry on you so mostly a sword and a handgun to be efficient. I have a sword but not a gun. The cannons should come with the ship, if the ship is actually good that is. I might just make my own.. Nevermind. I don't know almost anything about making ships... but I can modify them.'

Mizuki was sitting on her bed with a wide grin.

'Let's start with a gun. I at least know some stuff about guns. 2 days should be enough to make a good prototype. A semi automatic would be best. Bullets can't be made from mana so.. can't I make items out of mana? I indeed can but do they get destroyed in water? Hmm~. '

'I'm gonna try that. But first I need a referance to make it along with a good referance for a ship if I plan to modify it.'

'But I probably need a f*ck ton of money for that and how am I supposed to earn.. that much...' Mizuki facepalmed.

'I'm gonne be a f*cking pirate. Why the hell am I supposed to earn it the 'legal' way? God, sometimes I leave even myself stupefied.'

Making a bandana like mask to cover the surroundings of her eyes, a black face mask a cap and a jacket with shadow magic while using mana to retract her horns she was ready to commit some crime.

'It has been a day since I found that interesting sheepkin girl. Besides her there really isn't any talented individuals here.'

'The girl reminded me of one of the eastern lords. Tana the Sheep of Theft. I wonder how she is doing.'

While walking around the streets I suddenly hear a loud explosion and multiple shouts.

I quickly start heading towards the location.

Just as I am about to enter the main street I see a short lass with clothes made of some shadow-like substance jump overhead, blocking out the sun. In the air I saw she had a few golden necklaces around her neck, a bag of what seemed to be platinum coins and other valuable small trinkets in her left hand while her right hand was holding the most top tier of military handguns and two bejeweled crowns acting as sleeves on both hands. A sort of mask that was tied around her ears was pulled down to her lower chin as she had an apple made of pure obsidian in her mouth.

As she landed I heard the sound of the bag full of stolen goods ring snapping me out of my daze. I looked towards the retreating figure that had multiple tier 3 guards running after her along with a tier 4.

As I was looking towards the ever more distant figure I thought to myself.

'Heh. Really does remind one of Tana, I should get in touch with her along with warning the others that a new lord might soon come to the seas.'

I head back towards my ship and crew to prepare for departure.

'Surely she won't be able to steal my ship as well.' I thought with a laugh before stopping for a second, furrowing my brows slightly and continuing to head towards my ship with trace amounts of worry on my face and a faster step.
