Lost Prince pt 2

Eric Stevens Pov

Ever since i found my dad dead with holes in his chest I've always been searching. For answers, for a target of my revenge. Who killed me father and why? This question has driven me through life. Through school, through boot camp, through my 7 tours, straight to nothing. I've searched every corner of the world but still found nothing.

But its fine, im a patient man after all. It took time but i worked hard and quickly rose ranks through the army. I always strove to be the best, the best sniper, the best fighter, the best soldier, the best killer.

Me and my boys were so efficient we even got called by that OverWatch group. Wanted to have us run back up and area control whenever they had a wide scale meta threat. I've fought side by side with monsters capable of destroying cities.

Today should've been just like any other day. Get up, workout, meet the boys, run our drills, check for work, the usual. So why is it that OverWatch just called me for an important job. Im used to it but work from these guys never end easily.

I hear my doorbell ring and immediately knew it was Invincible. I had no qualms with the guy, all that power he has at his fingertips yet he goes around saving the planet and even recruiting others to do the same.

I open my door ready to greet the bossman when i see three shadows under the door. Thinking it to be a trap i keep my sidearm ready on my hip. Never be too careful.

"Who is it" i call out to the other side. One of the voices calls out and i recognize the voice. "Sorry boss man, can never be too careful right?" Invincible has always been a laid back guy until its time to get serious. So when he just waves it off and walks into my crib with a little kid and a walking cat man i was chill. I've seen weirder dressed people than this.

I lead them to the living room and grab some sodas from the fridge. Now i know this aint a casual call so i ask "what's the surprise?"

"Eric i have a job if you're interested." Oh a job yupp didnt see that coming. I motion for him to continue, "Ulysses Klaue stole a hell of a lot of Vibranium from the Nation Wakanda. Vibranium is a very dangerous and reactive metal and i figured youre the best guy to hunt him down."

Did he say Wakanda? That place is where my dad told me he was born. A small village in Africa. Hmm if this Klaue guy really stole from my dad's birthplace this might be the closest link I've found to someone who wouldve wanted to hurt my dad.

"It'd be my pleasure to catch him. My pops was a Wakandan its the least i can do." I get up off the couch and strecth my back. "Let's go get the boys."

The three guests sit up from their positions and start to follow behind me to the barracks. The new guy keeps taking glances at me so obviously i say something, "Yo, you a new member? Name's Eric Stevens. I sub contract to OverWatch from time to time." I hold out my hand waiting for a shake, he tenses up before choosing to let his helmet off. Most of these guys are super lax about their identities but there are some who i never see without their masks like Invincible, Widow or her sidekick GhostSpider.

"Nice to meet you. My name is T'Challa, Black Panther in the field." He grabs my arm back in a tight girp and idk it feels familiar.

We walk for a few minutes having a decent conversation with the little Shuri interjecting from time to time. We finally arrive at the barracks and i greet my crew the way anyone would.

I kick the doors open and begin to yell. "YO WHERE'S PRODIGY" David Alleyne but his callsign is Prodigy. That guy can find anyone anywhere on the planet. I scan the room to see a stunned Greenburgh laying on the couch and McDermott playing the new game Gears of War on the Xbox 360.

Seconds later David comes from around the corner. He sees me and walks over and salutes for a second before waiting for my orders. I train my boys right, they know when its a time for action it's not a time for games.

"Prodigy, Ulysses Klaue K-L-A-U-E, find him. Fast he's got some dangerous stuff and we need it back. McDermott get the boys ready i want 6 bodies ready to sweep." Both men give me a salute and run off to get their jobs done.

T'Challa gives me a look of respect seeing the way my men treat me. I get the feeling he has a high military ranking himself. David comes running back into the room 3 minutes later and gave me an approximate location, "He's currently somewhere off the coast of Sweden in this 15 km range. Thats the last known trace of him. The boys are ready and waiting for orders."

Invincible speaks up "Tell em head outside i got the ship ready."

Prodigy looks at me and i nod. He runs off to tell the squad we're heading out. Invincible turns to head outside and i grab my go bag and follow him. I walk out and hold the door for Shuri and Panther. Once theyre out i look around and ask the million dollar question. "Where's the ship?"

Invincible gave me a smirk and a huge red ship just materialized out of thin air. I stand unsurprised, after working with these guys a few times and seeing their toys i dont feel much shock anymore. The ship lowers itself down and a hole opened up in the wall.

I follow the OverWatch crew inside the ship as Invincible takes his seat. I find a seat by one of the many radars onboard familiarizing myself with the tech. Its complex yet understandable. My boys all make their way in one by one sitting themselves and strapping in.

I nod over to Invincible with an 'All Clear' and he takes off in the ship. Im coming Klaue and one way or another im getting answers.

Bonus Scene - Back at Star Labs with Selene

Listening to Frost go back and forth in her annoying heels was starting to get on my nerves. "Would you please stop that its getting annoying." Ever since Natalia left to recieve the kids she's been pacing back and forth.

She glares at me and was about to speak when a giant blue vortex appeared at the other end of the main Hub area. My senses go on alert feeling a cosmic force channeling througn the vortex.

Hmmmm interesting. I watch a man in a scarlet suit and a weird machine on his chest run through the portal. Emma looks ready to attack but i hold her back. The man looks around and sees the StarLabs logo and gets a big goofy grin before looking at us.

"Wait, who are you two? Oh man am i on the wrong earth again? Maybe Kara overshot me. You guys wouldn't happen to know a Harrison Wells would you? "

Oh? A speedforce user travelling through temporal portals again. He seems young and naive to the force charging through his blood. So young and powerful yet not glimpsing the full authority of what they wield. Same as young Damien.

"Speedsters such as yourself are rare in these parts. And no Harrison Wells either. What's your name, we can accommodate you until Damien returns and he should be able to return you home. Oh what's your name by the way."

Thats right, if i make a connection between Damian and this young man, i cant imagine just what they'll accomplish. Its been such a long time since my blood has boiled in this much excitement.

"Oh sorry, let me introduce myself." the young man takes off his cowl and reveals a young face with messy brown hair, "My name is Barry Allen, the fastest man alive."

Really? He says that way too proudly.
