Arena Twelve: The Cost VIII

Unlike what I thought, the missiles were deadly.

I had underestimated how lethal the radiation left behind by the missiles... In just a few hours, civilians around the proximity of the missiles impact zone started dying out due to the radiation. And more started getting sick and falling unconscious.

Unlike the storybooks, I still didn't hear about any mutated monster or something... But the way reports were coming, it wouldn't be long before I would see mutated ghouls and all that...

Sighing, I looked at the screen floating above my head. The Outer City and the inner Castle area were mostly unharmed as most of the bases were concentrated around the borders on the sides on the edge of the no man's lands between Arzen and the Theocracy. However, the middle city had been completely devasted. The roads were closed down, cutting all contact between the inner castle area and the outer city. The empire at this point was mostly destroyed.
