Chapter 51: The Revelation

Alone with her thoughts, she settled into bed and stared into the darkness, considering her options. There were plenty of questions to choose from, but she couldn't stop thinking about Ben. Her brief affair with him left her reeling and contemplating the possibility that their casual hookups could morph into something deeper. He had a way of making her feel as though everything was going to be okay, but before anything serious happened between them, she had to know if he was the father of his ex-girlfriend Kali's unborn baby.

Eryn had asked her to call on a dream to find out, and Cassie had balked at the notion because what happened between Ben and Kali wasn't her business. Not really, even if she did have a sexual relationship with him. Given the fact that Kali cheated on him, wouldn't Ben want to know?

But Ben didn't know about Cassie's gift, so how would she tell him if he wasn't the father or if he was?

Should she even tell him? Should she even be thinking about this?
