Secret Friends

For the first time in his second life, Jin didn't know what to do, his brain short wired and he was left standing there with his mouth wide open. He remembered how brash and unrestrained Tsunade was in the canon series and while he expected a few changes since she was still just a child at this point and had yet to grow to her canon counterpart, he didn't expect the change to be this drastic. He was left standing there until the rest of the class turned their attention towards them, waking Jin out of his dumbfoundedness. Reacting a bit slow he eventually said: "Hey, look it was my fault okay. I was a bit too mean towards you since you acted arrogantly but I was wrong okay. I didn't want to make you cry so please stop crying."

But unfortunately, his words fell on deaf ears as Tsunade continued sobbing and blaming him for hurting her, attracting more attention from the rest of the class. Driven to the end of his wits he decides in the end to make a gamble and says: "Look if you stop crying I will listen to 1 reasonable request you might have okay?"

This seemed to have worked as it made Tsunade quiet down and look towards him saying: "Really? Then let me kick you in the balls as hard as I can to make you realise how much you hurt me, hmph."

Hearing this Jin's mouth starts twitching thinking:(You hurt yourself by punching me and because of that I have to lose my newly acquired long rising dragon and become a eunuch?) There is no way that Jin would risk any damage to his manhood especially considering that it was quite an upgrade to his last one that he almost starts crying thinking about it.

He responds by saying: "No, I said any REASONABLE request and castrating myself by your kick isn't in any way reasonable. Ask something else that doesn't involve hurting myself, whether it be physically or socially" trying to nip the bud of any other sadistic requests she might come up with.

"Hmph, your such a coward, first you hurt a fragile and beautiful young lady and now you won't take responsibility? But since I'm so nice and forgiving, il allow you to become my sla- I mean subordinate. Surely you won't reject my small request, now would you?" Replies Tsunade sounding dangerously more angry towards the end.

Hearing this Jin almost wants to cry seeing the brash and unreasonable canon Tsunade counterpart slowly manifesting in her. He almost wanted to ask where she was hiding her true nature before. Having no other choice if he doesn't want to escalate the small problem, he agrees with a heavy heart and answers through gritted teeth: "Okay you got me"

But then he starts smirking and says: "Since lady Tsunade wants this humble slave as your subordinate it would be my honour. It just that it's such a big shame that everyone else will leave with me joining. I'm sorry to say that I'm not very popular and having me by your side will only increase the distance between us and the rest of the class. Nevertheless, I'm extremely happy that you would choose this old slave over your own friends" replies Jin almost fake crying at the end.

Tsunade has a look of hesitation after hearing this after realising everything Jin said was true, as Jin and Jiraya while friendly stick to themselves most of the time. Moreover, her own friends/fans don't like extra competition for Tsunade's goodwill and will most likely ostracize the newcomers or leave themselves after realizing that they lost their chance at befriending her.

Most of the kids don't actually do this of their own accord, instead, they are more likely instigated either by their family or clans to try and get close to Tsunade. Most clans or big families want to use her political power as their own while the smaller families just wish to find a big umbrella to shield them from bigger and stronger forces.

Tsunade would most likely face backlash not only from her "friends" but also their families and clans in case that she decides to invite Jin and Jiraya, one who is a common civilian and the other being an orphan. Mainly because of the fact that it would lower their own chances at wooing Tsunade and at the same time not wanting Jin and Jiraya to be a "bad" influence and getting her support. As any big family or clan that garners her support would also garner the support of the legendary Senju clan who wields not only strong political power but also immense individual power. Partly not only because of the fact that 2 of their members became Hokage and founded the village itself but also the fact that they all possess unique physiology that all but guarantees their rise to the top of the power scale.

Thus Tsunade finds herself in a dilemma, on one hand, she has Jin who is most likely the strongest person in the class as she was the strongest before him. Not mentioning that she noticed that he wasn't serious even once throughout their entire fight speaking loads of his strength in comparison to herself.

On the other hand, she has her circle that the majority of the class joined and the big families and clans that support them, not to mention the connections that they have. Tsunade herself was brought up on the political side of the village to protect her since she is the princess and heir of the Senju clan.

Jin noticing her dilemma and wanting to help as in his opinion, children shouldn't have to be politically savvy not to mention becoming child soldiers fighting in a meaningless war brought upon by the biggest BASTARD ever, Black Zetsu. He says while becoming serious: "We both know that you can't have both, you're going to have to choose and we both know the best choice that you can make is abandoning me, especially considering now that everyone knows of my strength. They will see me as a threat and won't stop until either I am kicked out of the circle or they are."

"That's why il make it easier for you by not joining your circle" says Jin while noticing the sad look on Tsunade's face.

Tsunade has never before had any real friends as everyone who wants to get close to her usually wants something from her and because of that and the lessons she learned from her own family she started to barricade and build a wall around her heart. Jin is the first person she met that doesn't have an ulterior motive, not to mention finding someone her own age that is as strong as her or even stronger leading to her growing sad by not being able to befriend someone like that. Eventually, Jin decides to break her out of her dilemma by whispering: "We can't be normal friends but nobody said that we cant be secret friends instead."

Tsunade hearing this is both shocked and happy at the same time leading to a small smile appearing on her chubby but cute face.

What did you think? I mainly wanted to explore both Tsunade and her personality as well as the political side of the Naruto universe which in my opinion wasn't as developed as I hoped as the series focused more on Naruto and his point of view. This chapter took a bit longer to write and it might still be a bit clunky but I still hope you enjoy it! Make sure to support the series in any way to let me know how much you like it and where I made a mistake! Cheers!
