The frown on Lisa's forehead got deeper as she retorted, "That's because you both are not normal couple like them. Not only the situation but also the purpose behind your marriage is also different from any other arrange marriage."

"Mom.. I know that we're marrying out of love and it's because of grandpa's last wish. But that shouldn't affect the fact that Katherine is going to be my wife no matter what." Ethan's voice was also firm which made his mother a little angry.

Sensing the tension between the mother son duo, Austin thought to meddle between them to extinguish the invisible fire as he said, "Lisa.. Relax honey! I think our son is right on his own perspective..

He should spend some time with Katherine before they got involved into each other officially. They at least deserve this little space after doing so much for us and his Grandpa."

Lisa was in complete disbelief, hearing her husband's words. But Austin's one blink of assurance was enough to stop her from blurting out more furious words..

Whereas Ethan just looked at his father and said, "Thanks Dad. I'll then text Katherine about our first official date then."

Saying this, he gave his not so pleased mother one final glance before picking his phone up and messaging Katherine about their date.

The next day…

"Hey.. I hope I'm not too much late." Katherine said, taking a seat opposite to him.

They were right now sitting in the same cafe they had met for the first time on the previous day..

The waiter had already served their respective beverages as he saw the vacant seat in front of Ethan being taken by Katherine whom he presumed to be the one about whom Ethan had mentioned previously while giving both of their orders.

Ethan smiled looking at her and replied, "No.. You're not. I just arrived a few minutes ago."

Katherine nodded looking at her handsome fiance who was looking no lesser than a Greek God, even in a simple jeans and T-shirt..

"So what's the reason behind the sudden meet up? As far I can remember, you told me yesterday that you'll be soon going back to New York to settle few matters." Katherine asked, arching her eyebrows at him.

Ethan drank his black coffee and said, "Yes.. I'll be leaving tonight. But before that, I wanted to take my lady to a date as we won't get anymore chance to meet again before our wedding."

It didn't even take more than a second for a sweet smile to bloom on Katherine's lips. She stirred the straw in her cappuccino and looked down shyly hearing him addressing her as 'my lady'..

As the blush deepened, she couldn't help but stutter a little as she tried to divert the topic, "Uhmm.. You remembered my favourites coffee type?"

Ethan smirked seeing her red cheeks as she got to understand that she was deliberately trying to change the topic out of shyness.

He so badly wanted to pinch those red cheeks of hers as those were looking nothing less than any ripe and juicy tomato but held himself back, reminding himself that, it was just a second meet of both of them though their relationship had a name now unlike the previous day..

He knew that he had to take things slowly as the changes between their relationship from strangers to friends to fiances happened in a more faster pace than that of a lightening. So he wanted to give her enough comfort to get accustomed to him first before rushing into anything..

"Well, I can never forget any of your favourites unless I suffer from amnesia." He tried to joke, to make the atmosphere a little lighter.

Katherine chuckled at his funny antics and said, "Hmm… Even if you have amnesia, you should not forget your wife in anyway.."

These words rolled out of her mouth automatically, making Katherine bit her lip nervously when she finally realised what she had exactly blabbered out of excitement..

While Ethan had a playful smirk on his lips which made him tease her to no extent, "Hmm… Wifey and all huh?"

The red hue on her cheeks turned more darker, making her fidget with her fingers in shyness.

This act of her seemed to be hell cuter than anything Ethan had ever witnessed in his whole lifetime. She looked like an innocent baby who had just got praised by her teacher for getting good marks on exams.

The thought itself made Ethan's smirk to widened in a proper smile..

Noticing him lost in his thoughts, Katherine coughed a little to bring him back into senses.

And when he finally did, she thought to start the conversation all over again to devoid herself from anymore embarrassment.

"So…. What are you going to do today?" Katherine asked looking at him with an excited look.
