'I never thought I would come across Team Rocket on Mount moon...'

Arthur thought bitterly and moved his gaze to the three people wearing the uniform of Team Rocket.

They weren't people he recognized from the anime and games, but he very well knew that Team Rocket was too big for him to know every member.

His gaze moved away from examining the features of the Team Rocket grunts and got fixed on Murkrow who seemed to be struggling from intense pain on the side.

He was locked up in a small cage that the Team Rocket grunts carried for capturing Clefairy, in case they came across one. It was a specialised cage that had the feature to give constant shocks to Pokemon.

At the same time, it can change its space to accommodate small to medium size Pokemon and was easy to carry for this reason.

'They have poisoned him.'

Arthur thought as his face ceased with concern and anger.

Inside the cage, Murkrow's whole body seemed to be burning and he was constantly flapping his wings due to pain.

It can only be poison because Arthur wasn't able to spot a major injury on his body. There were small bruises, but they weren't enough to make Murkrow like this.

And his assailants also have a poison type Pokemon — Koffing.

Arthur guessed that Murkrow must have been attacked by a poison type move just after the smoke started filling up the interior of the cave.

The next set of their plan was to kill Arthur or at least badly injure him, so that they can take away his Pokemon. Obviously, it hadn't worked out in the end.

But Arthur had to say that it wasn't a bad plan.

It would have easily worked out if Arthur had been even a little careless.

'Now, it's time to counter attack!'

As Arthur was planning to command his Pokemon to launch a counterattack, one of the grunts who had dark blue hair and a cold sharp face took a step forward and spoke.

"We are from Team Rocket. You must have heard about us. It would be better for you to give away all of your Pokemon without any struggle and I, Soros, will promise to spare your life."

The aura around dark blue hair grunt called Soros was different than the other two and Arthur guessed that he was their leader.

After all, even the sentence he had spoken was something that a mob villain will speak in a third rated novel.

"I don't plan to give you all anything other than death."

Arthur replied back coldly.

He wasn't in the mood to have a conversation and his anger was already on the peak. The face of Soros who heard that distorted cause he didn't want to have a battle here.

'Scyther, Charmander and a Mankey... This guy really has a lot of rare Pokemon. What type of backing does he have?'

Soros thought while inwardly frowning.

He was pretty sure that Arthur had some type of backing. Otherwise, it doesn't make sense that he has such rare Pokemon. One can explain a Charmander as they are given out as starter Pokemon, but Murkrow and Scyther are really rare.

Murkrow ain't even a Kantonian bird.

A battle against someone like him would surely be hard and although they had the number advantage, there was no guarantee that they would win.

He knew that well since he had seen Arthur's battle with Golbat.

The backing behind Arthur was another problem. They would surely come after Team Rocket if something happened to him.

Team Rocket wasn't scared of any backing, but they are known for sacrificing low level members if the need arises. Soros was sure they wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice him.

His ambush plan hadn't worked properly and he was in a bad situation. Soros's mind worked at a fast rate to find a solution out of this.

In the end, there was only one way.

'Fuck, it became messier than I thought, but I will just kill him here and get it over with. No one will know that way.'

As Soros was thinking that, Arthur was already planning an attack.

He didn't care about the misunderstanding Soros had or anything else. The only thing in his mind was revenge for ambushing him and hurting his Pokemon.

'Koffing, Graveler, Ekans, Weepinbell, Grimer...'

In his mind, the information about every Pokemon of the grunts was being analysed and aside from the Koffing and Graveler, not one of them was even level 20.

He soon launched an attack.

"Scyther, use fury cutter on the Weepinbell and Ekans. Mankey, Karate chop on Grimer and Charmander, Flame burst on Koffing and Graveler!!"

Arthur gave out commands after commands and the eyes of his Pokemon flashed with a sharp, cold, chilling killing intent.

They had seen what had happened with Murkrow and they were all angered. Just like Arthur, they wanted revenge and were not planning to hold back.

"What are you doing? You idiots! Don't just stand there and attack!"

Soros yelled, seeing Arthur's Pokemon movements.

The two grunts, who were just standing till now, started giving out orders to their Pokemon at the yelling.

They weren't good trainers from the start and only by luck, they were able to find themselves in Team Rocket — Getting a Pokemon and becoming a grunt.

For them, battling was just about giving out commands. Everything else was on their Pokemon and they didn't know a thing about analysing their opponent and using tactics.

"Scythe!"

"Mankkk!"

Scyther and Mankey easily overpowered their Pokemon.

Faced with Weepinbell's razor leaves, Scyther just cut them off by using fury cutter and then, he slashed at Ekans who had leaped on him, teeth emitting a poisonous aura.

In comparison to that, it was a harder battle for Mankey.

He was facing off against Grimer's sludge bomb and his body was hard to hit, but at this point, he had already gone through his fair share of battles and it wasn't that hard for him to get a lead in the battle.

The main battle was between Charmander and Soros's Pokemon though. Arthur was also focusing on it more and the fight was getting more intense every second.
