Jealousy 2

"Well...!" She began as she stared at the distance.

"Well, the King looked up when he and his son realized that their food was on the table and that it had gotten a little bit cold...so...!" But she was cut short by and elated Andrew.

"What?!!" Little Andrew screamed.

Martha used her hand to cover her ears as she beckoned on him to lower his voice.

"Shhhh, you'd disturb the others, reduce your voice...!" She said.

"What do you mean I should reduce my voice? You hay said that the King and the Prince had already discovered that their food were cold...how are my supposed to react to that...?!" Andrew shrieked.

Martha frowned as she smiled...

Then she thought of something...

"I'd you don't reduce your voice, I wouldn't go on with the story...!" She threatened.

Little Andrew looked at her with and eyebrow raised.

"Are you threatening me...?" He asked.

Looking at her nails, she said;

"What does it look like I'm doing?" She asked.

But before little Andrew could say anything else, she cut in and said;

"I'm just a normal storyteller with no ability, or capability of even getting a fly, just doing her job in telling the young heir to the throne, the young Prince, a story about my life...!" She said feigning sadness.

Andrew just looked at her.

"But if you think that I'm capable of doing anything dangerous...I'm only good at cooking...!"

Saying this, little Andrew bursted into laughter.

Martha smiled.

"What?" She asked as she raised her arms up.

"It's the truth...I'm only good at cooking and telling stories...nothing else...aren't I!" She asked.

Andrew laughed really hard.

But then...

He became serious...

"Who said that you're only good at telling stories and cooking...?" He asked seriously as he looked up at Martha...

Martha looked down at him with slight shock as she asked;

"Them what am I good for...?"

"Not only are you very good at storytelling and cooking, you're also a great companion...!" Little Andrew confessed as he raised his hands up in the air to exaggerate his point.

"Oh please...!" Martha said as she turned her face to hide the blush that was starting to creep on.

"No need to smile, it's the truth... besides...!" Little Andrew said.

"When I grow up, I would like to marry someone that's like you...!" He said lowly with his head bent.

Martha's eyes widened when she heard that as she turned her head to look at him.

"What did you say?* She asked.

Looking up at Martha, little Andrew repeated what he had said.

"I said that when I grow up, I would like to marry someone that's like you...!" He said.

"As in, as funny as you are, knows how to tell me stories when I'm feeling down and depressed...someone that mows how to cheer me up...and also knows how to cook!" He placed some emphasis on the cooking part.

Martha smiled as she shook her head, trying to hold back the laughter that was withing her...

Andrew grinned, hut then he turned serious all of a sudden...

"But I don't mean that I was going to marry you...!" He said sternly.

"You're too old for me!" Little Andrew said.

Causing Martha to look at him with a frown.

"Pardon me...!" She said with her voice, light shrieked.

Andrew that had turned his face the other way to avoid Martha's look, know turned to look at her with an innocent look on his face as he asked;

"Ma'am...?"

Martha laughed in seeing little Andrew's innocent face...

It was so funny, because he still little and cute...

He also laughed.

"Because to be honest...!" LittleAndrew said as he lowered his voice and his head, Martha followed his movements..

Looking at the door he wanted to make sure that no one was watching him...

So he spoke and said;

"The rest of the maids in the kitchen, they're just there to fancy the kitchen, not that they really deserve to be in the kitchen...!" Little Andrew said.

Martha acted as if she didn't understand what he was saying, so pursing her lips and frowning, she asked;

"What do you mean...?" But before she could finish asking her question, little Andrew interrupted her...

Eyeing her sideways, little Andrew said;

"Don't act as of you don't know what I'm talking about...you definitely understand what I mean...!" Little Andrew snapped.

The little smile on Martha's face dissipated as she slowly wen back to her own sitting position, with a pretty blank expression on her face.

Little Andrew smiled once he saw Martha's attitude...

'She understands what I am saying...!' Little Andrew thought...

Then moving closer to her, he placed his hand on her crossed arms and said;

"I know you're just pretending so that I would spill the beans, don't worry, I understand....!" Little Andrew said as he patted Martha on her arm.

Martha would have laughed, but for the fact that she was actually pretending, she only tied her face and giggled...

Making sure little Andrew did not see her...

But little Andrew knew...

Even though he was still a kid, he still knew some things...

Besides, he had female friends after all, so he understood their chemistry...

But playing along, Andrew feigned a depressed sigh as he said;

"What I said and was trying to say was...!" He paused for a while, whole he looked at Martha.

When he said that, Martha's head almost snapped to look at him as he spoke, but ut would make it look like her reason for turning the other way was to get him to talk, so she just maintained her posture...

While little Andrew, knowing that she didn't want him to think that she wanted to hear what he had to say, also played along...

Besides, he had a story to listen to...

If he didn't have a story to listen to, he wouldn't have been doing all these...

And besides, where was his Mother anyway...?

Andrew asked himself as he briefly glanced at the door, maybe he would see his Mother standing there...

But hopefully, she wasn't...

Normally, if his Mother had instructed Martha to bring him to his room, she would appear in no less that five (5) minutes...

Now that he's Mother took a lot of time, had him worried, but for a moment as he turned his attention to Martha...

Besides, she had better finished her story before his Mother comes, because only God knew what would happen...

So turning his attention to Martha, he said;

"What I was trying to stay was...!"

Tapping her on her shoulder, she turned her head to look at him, only to be dragged by the shoulder to bring her ear to his mouth, for him to whisper;

"All the other maids just fancy the kitchen, they don't know how to cook...that's what I mean...!"

Little Andrew whisper-shouted...

Martha removed his mouth form her ear side as she turned her head to look at him with a look of surprise...

"If you don't like their cooking, why kor tell the King...or better still, your Mother, the Queen...?!" She asked in surprise.

She quickly changed to the Queen because, little Andrew had given her a gaze that if not for the fact that he was still little, she would have otherwise shivered to her bones...

Turning to look at her once she mentioned his Father, little Andrew said;

"As if...the King wouldn't even give me an eye talk more of giving me one (1) minute of his time, before maybe giving me a full five (5) minutes, before giving me his full attention for a whole day...it'll be called 'ABNORMAL...!'" Little Andrew thought out loud.

Martha chuckled as she turned her head away to look at the door...

Andrew slowly followed her gaze...

They both sat like that for thirty (30) seconds before Andrew said;

"You haven't finished the story...how did it end?" He asked.

Lying his head on her lap, Martha adjusted herself and said;

"It's not a story, it's a life experience...!" She corrected.

"Ahhh...!" Andrew yawned lazily.

Martha used her hand to cover his mouth...

"Hm! Bad manners for a Prince...!" She said

"Whatever...!" He said drowsily.

Martha only shoo her head in negation.

After some time, Andrew asked again;

"Do how did it end...?"

Sighing, Martha continued, saying;

"Well, the King saw me and beckoned me over...!" At the hearing of this, Andrew say up and looked at her, silently...

No words slipped out of his mouth...

Not even a lazy yawn...

Martha waited for a bit, as if waiting for him to do any of these, but, he didn't...!

So she continued.

"When I went over, he asked me when I had served the food and I told him about five (5) minutes ago...!" She said.

"When I had told him, he looked at the food and then told me to go...!"

"Turning to take my leave, the King asked me to stop...when I did, I went back to him and then asked me why I had been standing there and watch while he and his son played cards...!"
