I was now sitting in the center of the city, yep. Didn't expect that there are so many of the shepherds and farmers here.
The city of Hesh was easily inhabited by about 30 thousand people and there were two more. Lhazosh and Kosrak.
No wonder it's one of the favorite Dothraki places to get slaves.
The battle was shorter then I thought and it ended when I killed the Khal and his three blood riders and some additional trash. Yep.
Yours truly did it again.
The battle stopped when I charged at them accepting some kind of duel challenge issued by him.
The funny part is that I never heard any of it before the fight, I just killed what I wanted to and was enjoying the moment.
He looked like a nice challenge so now here we are.
My men did suffer some losses, but no deaths, some broken bones and cuts, lost body parts here and there, but it will be as good as new after they walk it off, except of the body parts tho.
The ones that will be incapable of fighting on horses in the future will go to the infantry or stay in the fort as instructors, or if they prefer they can go back home to Neverwinter.
We need battle hardened men there as well.
Now for the gains.
We killed about 1000 in the first charge and by pushing through another 1000.
Now I'm left with about 8000 screamers and 20000 people, women, children, eunuchs and slaves that were brought here after the attack as a part of Khalasar.
They were waiting on the other side of the river like that usually did during the attacks.
The Khal Fono I killed didn't have any children as his wife and child died at childbirth, one of the best warriors in the southeast of Dothraki Sea.
The fame won't do him any good now, but I'm a good person for reuniting him with his family.
The Dothraki have their own traditions, but did I give a fuck? Nope.
I wasn't an idiot to forbid them all of them for now as I don't even know the language, but killing 1500 horses because their riders died? Fuck it!
I told them to swap it for old and wounded ones. No way I'm going to waist the potential here!
I finally found a translator in the slaves group.
Woman called Maya from free cities, sold to slavery by her parents.
She was about 22 years old, pretty and smart as fuck. I felt her feelings as she was relieved, grateful and happy for being freed and able to use her talents.
Her long, black, curly hair made her look youthful and boy was she full of energy.
She had a slender body with medium breasts and wore the brown leather skirt with most of her body exposed.
She translated my orders to my new Khalasar and when they protested a bit she sold them a story that my enemies don't deserve the same treatment as my warriors.
Meh. I will still do the same for my dead Dothraki in the future.
I still picked up some enmity from some of my new Kos as the commanders were named, but since I pointed them out to Noya she will organize their "escape" from my Khalasar during the night.
This ability is really useful when you want to catch the real feelings from others.
I already have a large number of spies and assassins on my account back home. Never once was I wrong.
We burned the dead as per their tradition with the less valuable things.
What I like about them is that here really might is right.
I was just waiting to be challenged for the Khal position.
Maya was now braiding my hair and putting my first bell ring while I was sitting on a carpet that belonged to the now dead Fono with my back between Maya's spread legs.
Unfortunately here they didn't relent and it had to be done, good thing I didn't cut my hair for a long time and had them to my shoulders.
"Guys what do you think about all of this?" I asked as my sworn shields were with me in the room.
"I like the new look, makes you more mysterious my lord!" Ser Bryce said confidently...
Even Maya stopped what she was doing and looked at him with all of us.
"What?! I really do! I'm not lying..." the last part was whispered.
"Don't worry, at least he's great at killing things." Ser Arthur said and looked at the girl.
Maya returned to what she was doing.
"After tonight you will need more leaders, choose the loyal ones and just use them. We have all the food we need here, and if what we know is true then there are many others Khalasars ready to raid this land." Noya was to the point as always.
"Maya what do you think?" I turned my head, looked up and asked my new aid and saw her surprised face.
"M-me my Khal?" She stuttered not expecting me to ask.
To be truthful without my ability I wouldn't let anyone new close to me, ever. But with it even a faceless man would be found out.
"Yes, you. You are my advisor are you not?" I looked up front again.
"Y-yes my Khal!" She smiled as did the rest of my group and started talking. "My Khal you already know how the Dothraki live. They don't farm, don't build, they just raid and the rest is left to women and slaves. I'm sure that if not for your orders and men there would be r*ping now and they would take what they want in the city." We all nodded in understanding. "But you shouldn't totally forbid them from it as well. That's their way of life and you can't change it in one day." She said as she finished braiding my hair and started to massage my stiff shoulders.
"We know, that's why we didn't stop them when burying their dead. I assume that hiring prostitutes won't work?" Ser Arthur asked.
"Not for now, but we can do so and they should slowly see the advantages of that. It will take time, but it's better than nothing."
Noya said.
"For the lack of armor I think I know how to convince them." I said and stood up to pour some water for everyone and walked around handing the cups as they listened. "They respects what earth gives them right?" I saw everyone nod as I handed Ser Bryce the last cup. "And Iron comes from where?" I looked and smiled mysteriously...
"Will it be that simple?" Bryce asked while sipping his water.
"Of course not, but we don't need them to change their way here and now do we? They need to be ready for the wars to come in Westeros so let's just make some exercises or competitions when they swap the roles with our cavalry to simulate an attack. They will at least get slowly used to it and who knows. In 10-15 years they should be used to it." I said hopeful that it would work.
"I will send a falcon to Winter fort tonight for the blacksmiths to start forging the equipment for now." I nodded to Arthur.
"Wait with that till tomorrow. I have few ideas for the North as well. We will send 2 letters.
"What about the city?" Bryce finally asked a smart question.
