While Hope,Elijah,Klaus,Freya, Henrik,Kol and Davina watched from a distnace.All of them were excited for this.

As Runic symbols at each of the four compass points were magically inscribed a circle in the earth. The pale orange light of arcane magic trailed after it, sparking the runes to glowing light as well.

A orange glowing Runic circle appears below him and with wave of his hand,a huge transparent golden sphere surrounded him and it had 4 small runic circles with certain sigils in the center and all of these 4 runic circles spin around him.

Alex could tell when it was working. He could sense his words and gestures getting traction on the mysterious magical substrate of the universe. He could feel it physically,since his fingertips got warm, and they seemed to leave trails in the air. There was a slight resistance, as if the air were getting viscous around him and pushing back against his hands and even against his lips and tongue.His mind was buzzed and could tell this was taking a toll on his mind.

After he was at the heart of a large and powerful system, he was its heart. When it was working, he knew it.There came a rumble of thunder. The very hue of the sky had shifted, to the blue-green of a fading bruise. A line of bright blue now limned the interior of the portal, and lightning flickered in the sky.

Alex spread his arms wide as he surveyed the gate and held his hand in front of him.As a blue ball of energy seems to form.

After glowing orb shot from his hands toward the Stone Doorway and exploded.Now the interior of the entire rectangular gateway was a pulsating,with a blue hue. Then the blue swirl's color became tinted with others; the blue of a sky, the rich browns and natural colors of trees.

The rest were in awe seeing it worked,while Hope muttered in awe"It worked."

Alex smiled seeing through the doorway was another land or world on the other side.He was happy to see it worked and he looked at Kol,who was also excited.They were the first ones to do a test run and check out the world, before returning back.

After hesitating for bit, they soon walked into it.

They vanished into the shimmering, sky-blue entrance to…They felt as the earth fell away from beneath their feet and was floating in dim blue light as if in a lake, disoriented, Alex too a deep breath and looking behind him was the light from the portal; ahead, increasing darkness.

Kol was amazed wheeling weightlessly, floated past Alex,they both tumbled past, inexorably swept along by the strange current.

Alex focused his magic on his destination and both of them swam-fell past as thin ribbons of light reached out before them.

But they soon reached out as the light intensified, almost blinding after the darkness of this journey.Alex and Kol soon landed on the other and collapsed onto the marshy earth,there heaving lungs inhaling damp air.

Alex groaned and muttered"I have to work the kinks of the portal."

While Kol got up looking around and said"Well looks like we have arrived, but we are completely lost."

Alex nodded and they made there way to nearest town, it wasn't hard.They were in Coconino National Forest, Arizona and the year was 1974.

Alex muttered"This was around the time Voldmort was rising in power."

Kol rolled his eyes and replied"Yeah, the great Dark wanker."

Alex chuckled hearing that, Kol read the books and watched the movies.While he liked the magical potions and spell,he dispised the fact how stupid and unadaptable these witches were.
