Chapter 32: Auction

Lin Tian group directly went to the south direction from Notting City. the target for his new restaurant branch is the Star Luo Empire.

for the past 3 years, his restaurant has created a lot of branches in Heaven Dou Empire cities, but he hasn't developed much in the Star Luo Empire, and now he is aiming to create new branches deep in the Empire to expand his reach to most of the Douluo Continent.

while doing so Lin Tian also aiming his journey to go to one place in the far south, that is the place where blacksmiths and craftsmen gather the Gengxin City.

5-month passes and Lin Tian finally arrive at Gengxin City.

in these 5 months, Lin Tian have visited a few cities of the Star Luo Empire on the way, he also spends a bit of time modifying the recipe for the new restaurant branch in Star Luo Empire.

the culture and taste of the Star Luo Empire are really different compared to the Heaven Dou Empire, for example, the personality of the people in the Star Luo Empire is a bit crude because their empire prioritizing military development and their people dedication to the nation is very high if compared to Heaven Dou's population.

The clothing and food also differ a lot, as they are located in the south of the continent Star Luo Empire are warmer and their clothing is a bit on the light side and more simple compared to Heaven Dou. Their staple food and available local ingredients are also quite different which is the reason why Lin Tian have to spend quite some time changing it to the taste of the local people, After making sure the restaurant is not having rejection because of the taste Lin Tian finally leave the management to the local manager.

Stepping down from his carriage Lin Tian starts to look around.

"Gengxin City finally I arrived here."

The city is bustling and lively, many carts and carriages came in and out of the city with men and women with light clothes walking around the street. There is also quite a lot of men with muscular body walking around looking at the metals shop around.

It is easy to guess that these people are probably blacksmith based on their muscles and the fact this place is named as the City of Metal, some of the blacksmiths also have badges on their chest which Lin Tian is not sure what it represents.

while thinking of this Lin Tian walked directly to one of the big Hotels of the city with his four bodyguards. when reaching the Hotel he directly rent a few rooms for a week and finally, Lin Tian asked a male staff about the badges that the blacksmiths are wearing around.

"Honored Guest this is probably the first time you have come to Gengxin City right? the badges that the blacksmith wear around are the proof of their Blacksmith level in Gengxin City after passing the test of Blacksmith association."

"These badges are divided into 7 level which is Junior Smith, Intermediary Smith, Advanced Smith, Master Smith, Grandmaster Smith, Smith Scholar, and Divine Craftsman."

Hearing this Lin Tian nodded and then asked.

"Can you tell me the location of the blacksmith association building?"

"Of course, the Blacksmith association is located in the middle of the city plaza it is very easy to found with its unique appearance."

"All right thank you for the information." Lin Tian said while giving a gold coin as tips.

the staff smiled happily after receiving the tips and bowed before he left.

"Xu Ho, Su Ning let's go to the blacksmith association's building, Xu Chi and Xu Min both of you can complete the hotel registering process. after both of you are done with it go and check some available land for our new restaurant branch here, also see if there's someplace for smithing available for rent here."

"Yes, Young Master." Xu Chi and Xu min responded.

Lin Tian directly goes to the city plaza and he can directly see the blacksmith association building. as the staff previously mentioned it is really easy to recognize with the large nameplate made of metal on top of a huge metal gate.

without further ado he went inside and go to the receptionist, the receptionist looking at the two bodyguards beside him can tell that this young master is definitely someone with status.

after asking a bit Lin Tian find out that this whole building also works as an auctions house on the fourth floor and most of the famous blacksmith in the city will put sell creation here.

The receptionist also mentions that today there will be a monthly auction which piqued Lin Tian's interest.

without further ado, Lin Tian shows his black card as proof of his million gold assets and asks to join the auction. the receptionist asked for another staff to take Lin Tian to one of the private rooms of the auction.

"Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the Blacksmith Association monthly Auction."

"Now without further ado let us start with the first item."

"This is high-quality tungsten steel! with a purity of 90% and weight of 300Kg. now let us start the bidding from 50,000 gold with a minimum increase of 5000."

"55,000 gold!"

"65,000 gold!"

"85,000 gold!"

the auction continues, but Lin Tian hasn't made any bid since most of the item sold is material for blacksmithing, and even though there's some spiritual herb sold it is only a low-quality one and Lin Tian can just make it from normal herb on his own.

"Dear distinguished guest we are now moving to the last part of the auction. but before that, there's another uncommon item that is sold for today's auction."

another staff brings a red table to the stage, on top of the red table is a pile of books with one stone tablet. based on the condition of the books it can be guessed that these books are quite old or even ancient.

"Dear guest, these books are the result of ruins expedition from the ruins located a few hundred kilometers south of the Gengxin City by Wolf Fang Expeditions team."

"The team decided to sold these books since they don't understand the language used on it but they also mention that these books aged thousand years old based on the condition of the ruins."

Hearing this Lin Tian's eyes lit up, after his years of study under Master he has read a lot of books and some of them mention Douluo Continent history.

it is said that the Douluo continent lost its history starting from a few thousand years ago which is one of the reasons why technology development in the continent is still soo low nowadays.

if he were able to decipher these books it might be possible to get ancient technology such as how to make spirit guidance tools storage etc, after all the current spirit guidance storage available in the continent is not created but found on the old ruins.

"Now let us start the bidding from 100,000 gold with a minimum increase of 10,000."

"300,000 gold!"

Lin Tian directly increase the price to 3 times since he knows the true worth of these books.

hearing this price the other guest who wants to bid previously directly stopped their raising hand, the price is already too much for books with unknown information inside after all.

"An honored guest from private room no. 77 have made a huge bid of 300,000! is there anyone else willing to bid?"

"Alright! 300,000 going once"

"300,000 going twice"

"300,000 going thrice"

"Sold! congratulations for honored guest grom room 77."

Lin Tian smiled happily after getting the whole book while also hoping he can decipher it later. Meanwhile, the auction starting its final part but sadly there's no item made by a famous blacksmith sold today and there are only precious metals, Lin Tian has no plan to buy those metals right now since he is not sure how to use them.

After the auction is done Lin Tian directly went to his hotel while being eager wanted to try deciphering the books.
