Ashnee's expression turned pale as she quickly covered herself. Her eyes turned misty while looking at the people in front of her.

These are the people whom she wanted to save and help. They were those that she thought would be of use to the village and help others in times of trouble.

However, from the look of it, she was mistaken. She has put her trust in the wrong people.

In her times of desperation and panic, she suddenly remembers one of the talks she has with Xin Wei.

"Do you really trust these people?" he suddenly asked while the four of them are having dinner on time.

"Yes, I think that they are not inherently malicious. They were just pushed into a corner by the Tera Chruch deacon and hence committed those crimes while they were in the village. Now that they are under our care, I am sure that those villagers would follow the right path…" she said with confidence in her eyes.
