Misconceptions

The truth of the matter was the whole invasion thinking had been borne out of fear. They feared that they would one day be attacked and that the government would take over theirs. It was universally acknowledged because of the activities that were going on in the outskirts of their nation. There had been several attacks happening there and they were very scared and worried. 

They thought that the whole thing was being caused by the government of the Alps and therefore decide attack them and make the most of it. In some sense it was their fault that they were facing everything they faced because of their indolence and their laziness to find out what they should have done beforehand.
