Love has no boundaries

I didn't know what to reply to his confession. I was surprised, shocked, beyond belief. It felt like a group of emotions were mixed together. I didn't want to hurt him nor give him high expectations on it.

"Seok Jin, let me be honest. I too, didn't regret kissing you. I too, have feelings for you, I didn't know from when. But, I don't think this is gonna happen. Your mother hates me and you saw what just happened before. I don't want to create any problem between you and your mother, and I don't want to be the cause of it. And there's a lot of difference between you and me, like your mother told. I love you, but I don't want to create a mess."

He came closer and cupped my cheeks and looked at me in the eyes.

"I won't let anything happen to you. Even if my mother says no to you, I will not let go of you. You are always the one, I love. Let them judge however they want to, but I know how you are and we don't need to prove to anyone about anything." He paused.

"There's no difference between us. I am a human and so are you. This is more than enough for anyone to love in this world. Love is a natural thing that everyone has in this world. Love has no boundaries. You don't see rich or poor in this. We're humans and humans can love. So, erase these thoughts away cause they are just creating differences between people." He said and nodded his head. I nodded back. He kissed me softly. I kissed him back.

He broke the kiss and looked at me and I hugged him.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you too." I responded and hugged him tight. I don't know what I did was right or wrong, but I did what my heart said me to.

"What is happening here?" We heard another voice.

We broke the hug and saw unnie and oppa standing and looking at us.

"Unnie, nothing is happening here." I said.

"If there's nothing happening, what did you make happen between you both?" She asked.

"Unnie, we have work to do. Come." I said and walked with her downstairs.

I stood by the counter and arranged everything.

"So, how did it happen?" Unnie asked.

"Unnie, you don't ask that." I said and thought about him.

"Someone's feeling shy, I can say that." She said.

"Unnie, stop!" I said and hit her.

We continued our work. Hwa-young joined me at the counter and unnie went to bake more cakes.

Seok Jin and Sung-ho oppa joined us soon. We three handled the customers.

Everything was sold out, as always.

"Ok, so everything's done. Take a good night's rest." I said and got up.

"Where are you heading?" Unnie asked.

"How does it matter? Go, sleep." I said and pushed all of them upstairs.

I headed inside and cleaned the counters and was doing the dishes.

It was almost 1:00 in the morning. I was tired but we need these things for tomorrow.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps approaching near me. I held onto the thing I was holding, tightly and waited until it approached closer.

As expected, it did and I was ready to smack him/her.

They put their hand on my shoulder and I turned around and was about to hit them, when I realized it was Seok Jin.

"You startled me!" I said and kept the frying pan aside, which I realized now.

"What are you doing here?"

"To check on you." He said. I removed the gloves and kept them aside.

"Wanna go for a walk?" I asked.

"Sure." He said and held my hand. We headed out through the back door.

We held each other's hand and walked, in the cold night.

I was shivering. I rubbed my arms to keep myself warm.

I felt a warm cloth wrapped on me. Seok Jin put his jacket around me.

"Won't you feel cold?"

"Not when the one I love is feeling warm." He said.

"Why do you always mention me as 'the one you love'?" I asked, curiously.

"The one I love is you. If I don't call my love as love, who else will I?" I smiled as he said that.

I sat by a bench, near by and tapped on the empty seat next to me, so Jin could seat himself.

I looked up at the sky, filled with stars and the moon. I took a deep breath in and exhaled, feeling calm and relaxed.

"It's such a beautiful sky. Very breath-taking." I said.

"So are you." He said. He keeps complimenting me, every second. It's so sweet of him.

I stared at the sky while Seok Jin kept staring at me. My cheeks turned red, as I noticed him staring at me continuously.

He turned my head and moved forward and kissed me gently. I kissed him back.

"You are beautiful, as always." He said as he broke the kiss.

"Thank you." I said and smiled.

"I remember the day, when my grandfather told me that we are the stars, shining bright. He said, "The reason the night looks so beautiful, is not because of these stars or light, but us. The people are the light, the people are the stars. People are the lights. We're always shining, like the star." It always remains in my heart." He said.

"That's so sweet." I said.

"If you need any help in renovating or in any data, I can help you in it. Don't feel shy to ask. I'm always ready to help you." I nodded. There was silence after that.

It felt nice. The quiet night, dark sky with stars, and the person who loves me, more than I can love him.

"Wanna grab something? Maybe some ice-cream?" I asked.

"Sure." He said. We both got up and walked.

I have a big craving for sweet things midnight. Especially ice creams or a bar of chocolate.

We soon reached a ice cream parlour.

"What do you want?" He asked.

"Anything with chocolate flavour." I said.

He bought me a double chocolate ice cream and he bought himself vanilla ice cream. We took small bites and enjoyed it.

We ate it as we walked. I felt calm and relaxing around him.

"Looks like you love chocolate." He said.

"I love anything that has chocolate. I have a very sweet tooth. I used to eat chocolate always. But then unnie stopped me from eating them. Nowadays, I eat them rarely."

"Why did noona stop you?"

"She scared me by saying that I'll get cavities by eating too much. I didn't want to lose a tooth." As I said, he laughed.

"Yah, stop laughing! It's not funny!" I said and hit his shoulder.

"Noona stopped you by saying this?" He said and laughed more.

"Yah, Jin-ahh, stop laughing! I shouldn't have told you! It's so embarrassing." I said, feeling embarrassed.

"Wait. Did you just call me Jin?" He asked.

"A-ani! You are making me go crazy." I said and walked fast.

"Yah, Y/n! Wait...(giggles) Wait for me." He said and followed me.

He ran behind and held my hand and pulled me. My hands fell on his chest and both our ice cream's fell to the ground.

"Do you love me so much that I make you go crazy?" He asked.

"You have thoughts like these too?" I asked and hit his chest, playfully.

"Ahpa (it hurts)." He cried. I couldn't help but smile at his action, which I found it cute.

"You look so beautiful when you smile. Do you realize that?" He asked as he tugged my hair behind my ear.

His thumb came in contact with cheeks. He made circles as he looked deeply in my eyes. His other hand was wrapped around my waist.

"I will always protect you." He said and pulled me closer and kissed me passionately.

My hands travelled around his neck, gradually and we kissed each other, with love and passion. It felt we both were hungry to feel each other's lips on each other.

Even though we felt hungry for it, it was smooth and soft. We broke the kiss to catch ourselves some air and rested our foreheads on each other.

We couldn't stop looking at each other. An intense stare. We felt each other's hot breath hit on our lips.

I felt butterflies doing twists and turns in my stomach. My heart was racing faster than I can ever imagine. It would pop out at anytime.

He intertwined both his hands with mine. Our eye contact didn't break.

"I just want you to know that, I'll always be there for you, every day, every time, every second. You are really special to me." He said and kissed my hands.

He pulled me and hugged me and caressed my hair. I hugged him and rested my head on his chest.

Being in his arms, I fell asleep, standing.
