Chapter 248: Frightening Battle

She might even join their father in fighting them, even if Edward attacked her. For Jasmine, Edward was her life, and she would never allow anyone to hurt him.

As for Axel, he still had an expressionless look on his face, but he was troubled inside after hearing his brother's words. When he was a child, his mother was away from him, and he only had his father, who helped him.

But Axel's brother, Raymont, was the one that took his hand to pass all the troubles that he had been through after his birth.

That was why Raymont's decision weighed much in Axel's mind. Plus, Axel was not a very good politician and focused on training and learning how to lead his armies. That was why he always followed his brother's decision in such matters.

After seeing his uncle Stannis, who had already started fighting his father and his dragon on the top of Firestorm, Axel made his decision and hopped on his dragon, General.

As for Orys, although he did not show it in his eyes, part of his heart blamed Edward for his brother's and sister's deaths. Plus, he could see there was no way for them to save Edward in this situation or talk reason with him in this state. So Orys did not mind and listened to his brother's words and jumped on his dragon, Leo.

But everyone could see his frustration because of his fist, which indicated how hurt he felt at the moment. At this time, Arya came close to the young man and held his hands to console him and say that she would support him until the end in whatever decision he made.

Wilyam looked at her gratefully before turning to Raymont and the group, waiting for his answer before speaking.

"You all can go. I have enough with this war, and I could not hurt my father as well. I will follow Lady Brienne to search for Corenna and the group that dared to hurt Theresa." Said Wilyam before jumping on his dragon and taking Arya with him before flying away in the direction that Brienne and the group from Dorne took.

Wilyam was the one that got hurt the most after seeing his sister's head, and he did not control himself at that time for the first time in ages.

Wilyam did not come back to his senses until Lady Brienne left the camp with her group to search for any traces for Corenna and her group. Arya was in the same situation as she remembered how the three of them had spent much time together in their childhood, and she wanted to avenge her sister as well.

Wilyam and Arya wanted to know why Corenna did that when Theresa was the one that supported Corenna the most. Theresa loved her knight from her heart and stood in front of everyone who dared to say that Corenna lacked anything when it came to Brienne.

After seeing Wilyam leaving them, Raymont could only sigh because he wanted to unite all his brothers under his leadership. But not only would Jasmine stand against him, but Wilyam had another thing in his mind. Raymont did not like this, and he would have to think of a solution after solving his father's problem.

"Let's go." Said Raymont with a serious tone as he turned to the fight in the skies of King's Landing. He knew how strong his father was and how this fight would go if they were not cautious enough.

It did not take long before four dragons with their riders started fighting two dragons with one rider, and the result of this fight was disastrous to King's Landing and those who remained in it. King's Landing's walls turned into a cage, preventing them from leaving while a dragon's breath would fell on their head from time to time.

The two munites that Stannis fought Edward and his dragons in turned to be fatal for Stannis and his dragon because Firestorm was not Bantāzma's or Gēlion's opponent.

Edward's two dragons were the largest among the dragons, and their special abilities and breath were unique. Firestorm, which was only about half the size of Bantāzma and Gēlion or a little larger, sustained many injured during those few seconds.

Fortunately for Stannis and Firestorm, Raymont and the other two made it at the right time and managed to stop Stannis's death. Raymont's dragon was the largest, and it was close to Gēlion's size but still smaller. Leo and General were a little smaller than Raymont's. At least, with the four men joining their hands, they managed to stop Edward from taking one or two dragons down in a few seconds or munites.

The four knew that they were still going to lose because of Edward's fighting capability and Edward's dragons. So they continued to fight from afar and use their numerical advantage when they were about to die or fall down. But it seemed this fight was not going to end any time soon.

Jon Clinn and Mace Flip, who heard the conversation earlier between Stannis and his nephew, could not say anything. Until this moment, they did not believe what was happening in front of their eyes. Edward did tell them something about this possibility, but he did not go into details as he did with Stannis.

But after seeing Edward fighting with his children and Stannis, Jon Clinn, Mace Flip, and the others could not help but tear up, and they could only listen to Edward's and Raymont's words.

Edward instructed them to listen to Raymont in case what he was afraid of happened in the end.

And Raymont knew that the army would not be of any use in this case. The army took the heavy weapons and war engines that had the ability to take down a dragon back to Storm's Eye.

Who could believe that they would need it to take down their king and his dragons? The situation was quite bad at this point, and Raymont could ask them to retreat.

Jon Clinn and Mace Flip listened to Raymont's commands and retreated to the strategic location that Edward had marked before. They would have to help Brienne's group and stop any rebellion that might happen at this point in time to stabilize the realm for the new king.

Although Edward was turning into an idiot as time passed and started making a wrong decision here and there, he still made the right decision and chose his elder son, Raymont, as the new king after his death. And he started preparing for the time when he would die.

Edward knew that he made many enemies, and the realm would witness many rebellions after his death since he controlled the empire with an iron fist.

But this was bound to happen anyway. Edward had known that many pity lords would try to raise a rebellion in Westeros and Essos after his death.

But would Edward allow that? Of course not. Edward prepared for this situation and started getting rid of many people that might cause problems for his sons and stationed many men and armies in many strategic locations to kill the rebellion before they could start.

The battle did not stop for days, and no one knew when the outcome would start to appear. But it did not die down but became more intense as time passed.

After the Storm army retreated, Raymont and his brothers started to go all out against Edward without any more reservation because they did not want to stay on the defensive side for too long. King's Landing and the remaining survivors were the ones that had it rough because even the Iron Throne melted down because of four dragons' breath at the same time.

Aside from this battle,

The group that went after Corenna and her group arrived at Harrenhal after only a day from leaving. They did not even rest for a second until they made their way to Harrenhal.

Brienne did not follow the others, who went on their way to find an inn to rest before continuing their search for Corenna, but she insisted on finding traces of Corenna and her group before doing that.
