Just then, right from the front where the movement and the sounds were coming the loudest, Alaina saw something approaching her way. It came fast and she only watched. It was a thick mass of dark greyish smoke, but it acted rather strangely.

Instead of dispersing around the open space, which is how any cloud of smoke acts, it seemed like it was compact, as is it was holding a shape, a form as it rushed towards her. just when Alaina thought it would collide with her body, it went past her by her right side. However it didn't miss her completely.

The smoke touched her right arm. What Alaina thought it would be like turned out complete opposite; she assumed it would be a substantial impact since the smoke looked compact and heavy. Surprisingly it was just like any other gust of smoke would be.
