"Jungkook..." You heard the familiar voice call out to you. "I'm so sorry..."

Author's POV

"He- he- he's... dead?" Jungkook widened his eyes. He couldn't believe what he just hear Jin say. Youngsoo can't be dead. He can't. He was Jungkook's rock and now he was dead? No way. "N- no..." A tear slipped from his eye, glittering in the moonlight. The night was beautiful, but Jungkook didn't care right now. He was shocked. His own little brother had died and he was killed by his own birth parents. He couldn't believe his ears.

"It's okay... you're going to be okay..." the 6th king reassured, thinking that it would help the poor Jungkook who was on the edge of breaking apart in front of him.

"I can't do this..." Jungkook mumbled and ran away from the garden. Leaving the 6th king alone in the garden.

"Wait...!" He yelled but it was too late now. Jungkook was already gone from his sight. He had to run after him, because the palace grounds weren't exactly safe at night. There could be wild animals. He didn't want the younger to get hurt for some reason. Just a moment ago he hated the younger, now he feels something different everytime the younger speaks to him. It makes him puzzled. "I'm coming." He mumbled to himself and ran after Jungkook.

Jungkook was still running away. His mind was consuming his thoughts and he was about to pass out from all the stress he was feeling. Sweat was dripping down his face with his tears. It was an awful feeling. He didn't want to believe that Youngsoo was dead. It couldn't be true.

"No no no, no!" He growled and punched a tree in the process. His knuckles started bleeding pretty badly but he didn't care about his own body. He never did. "WHY?!" He yelled again.

He stumbled on a root and fell on the ground. A soft whimper left his mouth as he hit the ground pretty hard. He didn't have the power to stand up so he just layed on the ground for a moment, thingking about all the things that were circling his mind right now. The death of his brother felt like someone stabbed him in the stomach with a knife. He felt like throwing up from all the anxiety and stress.

When he finally was able to get up from the ground, he saw a small lake in the forest he was in. The moonlight was reflecting from the surface beautifully and it looked like bunch of diamonds were floating in the water. Jungkook went to take a closer look and sat on a big rock to rest his body.

"I just wanted to keep him safe..." Jungkook talked to himself. "Why did he have to leave me? Doesn't he know how... how-"

"How what?" A familiar voice echoed in the forest, making Jungkook flinch a little because he didn't expect anyone to run after him. "What are you doing here?"

"I just... wanted to be alone for a while..." The younger answered honestly. "What's the mighty sixth king doing in the forest in the middle of the night?" Jungkook wiped his tears and looked at the familiar black haired figure, who was examining the youngers face with careful eyes.

"Taehyung." The 6th king suddenly said. "That's my name."

"T- taeh- what...?" He tried.

"Taehyung." The 6th chuckled. "Although 'Tae' sounds good too."

"Then, I'll call you Tae..." Jungkook mumbled and sat back on the rock. He looekd at the pretty lake and closed his eyes. "Mmmhm." He sighed and rested his head on his knees, keeping his legs close to him.

"You okay?" Taehyung asked softly. "You were pretty shocked just a moment ago..."

"...mhhm, honestly, I'm not okay... but I'll manage," Jungkook hummed a response. "I just want to rest before I have to think about his fu... funeral..." he sniffled.

"...Jungkook..." He heard a sniffle next to him and found Jungkook, who was crying against his knees. "Hey, come here." He cooed and wrapped his hands around Jungkook's body. "I'm here for you."

"I-" Jungkook tried to say something but his voice didn't come out.

"Shh, relax. Sleep for a little, I'll wake you up before it gets too late." Taehyung caressed his hand on the small of Jungkook's back and ruffled his cherry-red hair.

"Mmhm..." Jungkook mumbled and fell asleep in Taehyung's arms.

Taehyung noticed how the youngers knuckles and knees were bleeding. He gringed and decided it was a better idea to wake the younger up before he slept too much. "Jungkook, wake up. You're hurt." Taehyung shoke the younger softly.

"Mhmhm, what..?" Jungkook mumbled in his sleep.

"You're bleeding!" Taehyung worried. "We should treat your wounds."

"It's not that bad, I can wash my wounds in that lake, for example." Jungkook mumbled and shifted in Taehyungs arms.

"What- in the lake...?" Taehyung whimpered. "But you need to strip, right?"

"No, silly, I can just dip my legs in the water." Jungkook chuckled. "I'll be right back!"

After washing the wounds, Jungkook and Taehyung returned to the castle together. The younger was really tired and almost fell asleep on their way, so Taehyung almost had to carry him to the castle all by himself. Once they were in the castle, Taehyung carried the younger back to the guest bedroom since his bedroom wasn't ready yet.

"Goodnight, Jungkook." Taehyung hummed and tucked Jungkook under a blanket before leaving the guest bedroom.

"Taehyung? What were you doing in Jungkook's room?" The 5th king asked.

It was the 5th king. He seemed pretty tired, as his hair was a mess and his eyes were almost closing on their own. Taehyung found this a little cute. His friend looked like he needed a 7-day-coma. The question was a bit weird though. Why would he care where he went?

"I, uh, I brough him back... he was alone in the forest so I just-"

"Why?" The 5th king disturbed.

"I don't know? I just did. Is that a problem, Jimin hyung?" Taehyung lowered his voice.

"I heard he's using you, Tae. Stay away from him..." Jimin warned.

"Using me? How?" Taehyung rised one of his eyebrows.

"One of the guard saw him snooping around the castle." Jimin said.

"Are you sure? What's wrong with exploring though?" Taehyung was confused.

"HE EVEN WENT TO THAT ROOM!" Jimin yelled.

"Jiminie... are you sure...? If he really went there then-"

"I'm pretty sure." Jimin smirked.

"...thanks for letting me know..." Taehyung mumbled and left Jimin alone in the hallway. "That peasant." He clenched his fist tightly before storming to his own room. "Right when I started trusting you..."
