They had been walking for hours since morning. 

Unlike the last three months when they were domesticated and looked sick as hell, this time they looked motivated. If anything, it seemed like they had gotten to the point they had all been yearning for at some point in time. 

They were trying to live their lives as simply as they could and hope that things would be alright. Then again, who are they kidding, they were the ones tasked with making sure that all would be alright at the end of the day. 

It didn't matter how long it would take because they had to do it. There was no room for failure.
