Chapter Sixty Seven

I watched carefully from the corner of my eye, as Harry and Ron rushed in and sat down in a random seat. Hermoine was seated in the front and looked extremely excited. It was an understatement to say she was happy. The girl looks like she could float into space from happiness.

Just as the boys sat down being the last people in the class, Professor Snape glided inside with his black cape flowing behind him. Even though I knew I shouldn't be impressed I was because even if I did the same movement, that glide would never be the same. I respected him for the fact that he must have practised this.

Harry looked up straight into Professor Snape's eyes. Then Professor Snape went to look at his list of people.

"Daphne, Greengrass," "Here,"

"Draco, Malfoy," "Here," Draco smirked

"Hermoine, Granger," "Here," Hermoine nearly jumped out of her chair in excitement.

The list went on until we it

"Harry... Potter," "Here," Harry squirmed. Professor Snape made a tsk tsk sound before looking Harry up and down.

"Ah, yes," he said softly, "Harry Potter. Our new—celebrity." Professor Snape said sarcasim dripping off every word.

"You are here to learn the subtle science and exact art of potion-making," he began. He spoke in barely more than a whisper, but they caught every word. I made a notion of how to behave in his lessons. Quiet, polite and outstanding.

He came to stand in the front of the class as his scowl went from person to person in the class, he quirked his upper lip before beginning his speech.

"As there is little foolish wand-waving here, many of you will hardly believe this is magic. I don't expect you will really understand the beauty of the softly simmering cauldron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate power of liquids that creep through the human veins, bewitching the minds, ensnaring the senses... I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, and even stopper death - if you aren't as big a bunch of dunderheads as I usually have to teach," Professor Snape said looking specifically at Trixy Carrow.

Trixy looked down and suddenly found the parchment paper on the desk so interesting that she could not take her eyes off. I hid my sneer and look emtionlessly ahead of me as Professor Snape's eyes crossed mine. Snape moved passed me and looked at harry who seemed unknown to his stare.

I could feel the tension already building up. "Potter!" said Snape suddenly. "What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?" Harry looked shocked like a deer in headlights. He started squirming in his seat yet still looked professor Snape in the eyes.
