Lin

Kai walks out of the tomb holding 3 stones and shows them to Yuno, "Dad said the stones can never be reunited and I won't give it to you I just showed it to you and that's all you'll get."

Yuno nods before driving back to where she left Sensen and Luna.

"Where is it?" Luna asks and Kai just walks past them.

"Safe, they are under Kai's protection and he has decided that they won't be reunited and that's his final verdict.

"You have yours back and I guess now we decide how we're handling this, but your deal is with Ken I'll have to take it back after you heal your people because Ken would never bail on a deal I'm sure it slipped his mind."

Kai calls a cab and gets back to school going to his room. He opens the door and Rex is sitting on the couch across from Izumi who glares at Kai the instant they lock eyes.

"Why did you bring them here? Are you insane?"

Kai looks confused looking at Izumi considering they've never met before. "Who are you?"

"Izumi Lin, I've been meaning to talk to you. You are supposed to have 4 stones with you where's the last one?"

"My sister swallowed it."

Izumi Sighs, "Tell anyone that and you would've signed your sisters death sentence because they will have to drain every ounce of her blood out of her body to replace the stones power.

"I only came here to give you this whether you know me or not or like me or not it is tradition that the one who is taking care of the stones is given this.

"Never take it off and separate them it is dangerous to keep them together."

"I plan to move them. Anything else?"

Rex looks between the two wondering if they forgot about him, "You're the first-born son and there is one last tradition your father failed to complete upon his death,"

Izumi shows Kai the Tattoo his father had. "This has nothing to do with Immortals as well as the stone the day you receive this mark you will know the truth behind the stones the whole truth.

"Is the any other first-born Lin I should know about?"

"Hitori, my sister Ryu's son."

"He's still too young, I'm sure you will pass it on to him. Meet me on the day of the coronation with Hitori and Yuno it is imperative that the whole Lin family be present.

"Since I have no intentions of having children of my own it means you are next in line because it is pretty obvious your sisters have no intentions of playing Empress and you seem to have a strong drive to play hero so the platform is being provided to you on a silver platter."

Izumi gives Kai a note with a date and time, "On this day I will be meeting with the new Prime minister to discuss alliances and an agreement as to how we'll work together and there's still the part of the Royal Council.

"The old one was wiped out a new one needs to be formed, the official coronation will take time we still need to get through with the mourning of the Empresses death though I don't like the terms I have to agree too and I don't like being a King by name alone.

"I think I'll have to have a little chat with them about that. You have adequate time to convince the others, but one way or another you will be there."

Izumi leaves the room and Rex sits up looking at Kai, "King huh!"

Kai sits on his bed opposite him and slowly nods, "I'll talk to Ken and see what he has to say about it. Luckily this time he's only traveling for a few days unlike usual."

Tori runs into the house holding Snow and his backpack only to find Xavier and Yuno are sleeping in a tent in doors.

Ken picks up Tori and they go to the bedroom, "Let's wait for them to wake up we'll surprise them later or we can see Kai now."

Tori nods and they freshen up changing out of their current clothes going to Roman high to see Kai.

"Kai, look." Tori holds up the new dinosaur toy he got as a souvenir from the trip as they walk to a spot where they can talk.

Kai first shows Ken the necklace with a crescent moon stone. "My father had one it's a Lin family tradition to have one passed on to the first born son in the case of twins neither get one.

"What I wanted to talk to you about is the meeting with the new Prime Minister who's still yet to be chosen and all this will be after the 31st of December.

"He wants all the Lin's present for his coronation I don't know if it's safe to trust the guy I don't know him."

"I doubt he's giving you much of a choice Kai play along but keep your guard up for any surprises it's best to avoid war but wise to prepare for one.

"Learn as much as you can about your family history he may not be as bad as we think he is we've just had bad blood with too many people it would be unwise to shun a potential ally as powerful as he is.

"Always remember to consider alliances before war no matter how bad or batshit some people are I swear to you it's best to have allies you can count on over enemies. So, for now play nice and get in close to learn more about him keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

Ken looks around for Tori and sighs when he realizes he wondered off, "He's turning into a curious George lately I can't turn my head for a second."

Kai laughs. "We're mostly doing ability training this month, all third years will work on getting a license for their ability as well as a code so I'm sure he's safe somewhere around. I hate that it's only for third years.

"Yuno said she got coded S even if her ability is banded white, but she hated the hospital you chose and got a different place to work at. I got asked by Ake to work at his firm and we can work on safety gear for Supers so I know after I graduate that's where I'm going."

Ken groans and crosses his arms, "Seriously? Why not come work for me? I pinned millions on that head of yours for your craft you know, but now you went on to make my rival richer how classy Kai."

Ken gives him a serious look full of disappointment.

Kai laughs and shrugs his shoulders the look in Ken's eyes is almost like the one his father would give him when Kai did something he doesn't like, "He gave me an offer I can't refuse."

"I hate him." Ken states looking around for a sign of where Tori went. Snow is lying down on the floor mat outside the principles office while Tori is inside sitting on the chair across from him quietly playing by himself he just froze the door and made himself comfortable on the chair.

"Uhm, hey, who are you?"

Tori looks up and stands,  "Bobo."

The principal cocks a brow before he recognizes his hair and eyes, "You're Kai Lin's nephew correct?"

"Yes." Tori looks at the desk and climbs on it sitting down picking up what he can find and putting it up to ask what it is.

"That's a stapler you might want to put it down." Tori puts it down and holds up an empty sweet jar.

"Sweet." Tori holds it up recognizing the smell of sweets and gets down using his strong sense of smell to find the packet in the drawer.

"Please." Tori puts out his hand and waits for a single sweet the principle gives him 3 and he puts back the two. "Thank you." He goes back to his side and enjoys his candy waiting for Ken to come get him.

Two students are led into the office by a teacher for fighting and Tori jumps from his seat walking to the principal's side and sits on his lap like he usually does with Ken.

"Wipe?" Tori tilts his head back holding out his sticky hands.

"Give me a second." The principal hands him a wipe he does a sloppy job wiping his sticky fingers and gets off throwing the used wipe in the bin before sitting back on the principles lap crossing his arms narrowing his eyes at the two students.

"What have you two done?" Tori mimics Ken's tone when he deals with Kai and Setsuno.

"You two are always fighting and it's getting annoying, do it again and there'll be hell to pay understood? Now leave me office I am busy I don't have time for your ridiculous shanangans."

Tachibana always says that. Never a different speech. When he's serious he doesn't talk to anyone. He cremates them on the spot, or stops himself from trying too. Tori doesn't understand what he's saying but he knows that's exactly what his dad would say.

The two students snort and walk away laughing in the hallway while the teachers in the room look surprised.

Ken opens the door and glares at Tori who glares back. "Hitori we're leaving, don't you want to see Kai first? And I told you to leave this damn mutt behind, are you going to take him to school with you?"

"Yes." Tori gets off the principal's lap and waves everyone goodbye before he follows Ken out holding Snow. Hitori sees the two boys again and tugs on Ken's pants, "They fight."

Ken nods and picks him up since Tori's jogging just to keep up with him. "Yes, it's very bad. I'm sure the school will handle the situation adequately."

"I say no." Tori explains how he told them.

Ken smirks, "Oh? What did they do?"

"They listen."

Ken takes him to Kai for a few minutes before they leave and they find Xavier and Yuno having breakfast.

"Morning." Xavier gives Ken a big hug before taking Tori to his room and they sit in the tent next to the bed eating marshmallows giggling while Snow is sleeping again.

"I missed you." Ken whispers in Yuno's ear as he hugs her close and pecks her cheek.

"Missed you two, how did it go that side?"

"Not bad but I hate the numbers. In the long term I'll be fishing that company out of a lot of debt."

Yuno gives him a confused look, "Why go ahead with the deal if it's doomed to fail?"

"It has potential and I will have an opening to take over soon, the loss will have nothing on the return once I have all my pieces in place, anyway, did you get the job at the hospital you chose?"

"Yup, it's closer to home, and closer to a better school, and closer to where you will be working considering that I heard from Ake that you're splitting Kaminari's building and Ryujin is not at all happy about that."

"Ehh, he can cry me a river and drown himself in it. We already have the floor plans on how we'll divide the building and we stumbled on an underground floor not listed on the floor plans we don't know what to do about this, we might stumble into more secret rooms."

"Yuno." Tori jumps up and takes Yuno's hand pulling her to the door in a rush.

Sensen is about to knock when Yuno opens the door and she gets a big hug from Tori who freezes in his tracks and whimpers taking a step back from hearing the heartbeat in her stomach he's never heard it before.

"Mommy, it's talking." Tori pokes her womb and Sensen laughs walking in with Charles behind her.

"Since when are we charmy with her?" Ken says pointing a finger and sipping his tea.

"Ken be nice." Yuno looks him in the eyes and he comes closer taking the ring from around her neck and putting it on her finger.

"As long as she's here you wear that and I swear I'll stay out of it and let you handle this the way you want."

Yuno smiles with slight shock written on her face, "Are you serious? You're not pulling my leg are you?"

Ken shakes his head and pecks her lips, "I'm staying with the boys let me know when you're leaving and I'll make the call."

"Right now." Yuno says excited.

Ken groans and walks away unconsciously evaporating his tea, "Fine, if you're not back in 3 days all hell will break loose, don't be surprised when I flatten that entire mountain."

Xavier walks down the stairs dragging his travel bag while Tori pulls it back crying because Xavier has Snow in the bag.

"Dad, Snowy." Tori let's go and Xavier rolls forward falling down the stairs and Snow freezes the bag running back to Tori.

"I think further separation is necessary so I guess if you're not back within 2 days I'm coming to get you."

Yuno packs up for Xavier and they leave. Kim punches Ken on the face as the plane leaves the airport.

"Ken you're an idiot, why not let someone else tag along? Luna is a liar who knows too much about the stones and doesn't share enough and trusting her with your girlfriend is your biggest mistake."

"I don't trust Charles, I trust Yuno and with Xavier there she'll be back in 24 hours if she isn't back by then I already have a team of elites ready."

"The twins?"

"No, they work for Ryujin exclusively lately I have a different team of elites in mind."

Kim looks at Ackerman who shrugs his shoulders.

"Welcome to my world Kim, the thing about working with your brother is that he never tells you anything until it's too late. We'll find out who the elites are once they're on a plane to her rescue."

"So, we all agree that Charles is lying and we don't trust her?" Kim asks and they both nod, "I hate this plan regardless." She walks away and stops by a vending machine getting a soda before she leaves.

Kai, Rex, and Setsuno pack their bags waiting for their last member to show up.

Roku opens the door and Kai narrows his eyes, "What are you doing here?"

"First of all, I'm the uninvited yet very important back up, and second of all I have a theory that your sister is in a lot more danger than we initially thought." Roku puts down the drawing of the completed stone and draws the birth mark on Yuno's belly button.

"Anyone want to tell me how an Izumi Lin also has the exact same birth mark? It's not a birth mark and those people don't need a healer for shit I think that Charles girl is purposely making those people sick and plans to use Yuno for something else.

"There is no way a stone that powerful could fail her meaning that she wants something else from Yuno and it wasn't until Ryu said she swallowed a stone years ago that I realized that Charles wants to drop the veil."

"What veil?" Setsuno asks and Roku takes a fresh piece of paper and draws a line across.

"Remember the story we were toldyou about the prison? Well, I had a chat with Izumi to find out if he's really on our side and he said that the stones are completely useless and nothing but a source of power for anyone exposed to them.

"Until you add the blood of the one who comes from the bloodline of the person who made the stones and from there you can open a crack to the prison.

"Izumi and Yuno are healers, same blood type and obviously from the same blood line. Charles is going to let someone out and a bunch of kids aren't going to cut it without me."

Yuno smiles at Luna who smiles back too.

"Thanks again for helping my people Yuno it means a lot to me."

"Sure thing. Why Musha Cay anyway? I remember it used to be a nice vacation spot now it's just a wild island."

Luna chuckles, "It's still beautiful to me. Is he okay?"

Yuno shakes her head and holds the sulking Xavier tighter. "I think he's jealous Tori has his own little animal friend he takes with him everywhere and he doesn't.

"I'd get him a puppy but I doubt he'd like the domestic kind of animal buddy so I'm kind of hoping Musha Cay will have a little pet dragon for him."

"Believe hard enough and you'll find it waiting there."

Yuno smiles and crosses her fingers making a wish and turning to Xavier, "I promise you buddy you'll find your own little friend when we get where we're going." Xavier looks her in the eyes and she pecks his forehead.

"Promise?"

"I promise." Yuno is convinced she'll find one where she's going and she will find an explanation for what happened to Tori and whether or not she should worry or not.

Luna smiles as she relaxes and they fall asleep on the plane.
