Chapter 23: Anger

Three days have passed and Cairo focuses on training his battle skills and reading books about biology while his own research lab is still being made

As usual, Cairo exited his chambers that were actually for the Crowned Prince so early in the morning. Training at this time of the day has become his daily routine

"Young Master Cairo, you're early again" Cairo's guard/slave and attendant - Del commented with a smile and the kid nodded his head at that

The two walk towards the training ground with Cairo in front and Del tailing behind him. All the servants and guards bowed their heads at Cairo but the kid can still feel some hostility from them that he just ignored. He doesn't care about them as long as they won't harm him

Those people are naturally unsatisfied as someone that is 'not so talented' nor has a Royal Blood was given the best of the best treatment. However, with the soon to be Queen's backing, they can only show friendliness when they are in front of Cairo

After minutes of walking, the two reached the training grounds and Cairo was about to enter when three people blocked his way

"Hello!" The three greeted in a friendly manner but Cairo can still sense that these people do not like him too

"What is it?" Cairo asked without any emotion. He doesn't like these people but he doesn't want to just dismiss them too. As much as possible, Cairo doesn't want to become enemies with anyone as that might have negative implications in the future. However, that doesn't mean he will just let them do what they want

The nonchalant attitude of Cairo irritated the three but they still didn't dare show their true colors. "We are just wondering if you can help the poor us. Can we train in the best training grounds here too? We are one of the 'real' talents in the Kingdom, if you help us, well never forget it"

The three thought that Cairo will give them face but they were mistaken. For Cairo, the training grounds were given to him by Kira, and what is his will always be his! Cairo won't let anyone he doesn't even know borrow his property

"No" Cairo said coldly before walking to the side to enter the training grounds, leaving the three that were gritting their teeth in anger while staring daggers at his back

As usual, Cairo used the sandy area he was familiar with to train what the old man taught him days ago

Cairo raises his hand and controlled some sands to float around him. His body movements were as free as it can be before it turned fierce and aggressive

The sound of the sands slapping the air was generated but Cairo knew that it still wasn't enough

Cairo's demeanor returned to being someone that is free while the sands danced calmly around him

However, to Cairo's shock, the temperature around him suddenly rose as a fireball was coming to him. Fortunately, Del was there and the man waved his hand in the air before a water screen appeared that completely block the fireball without any problem

When Cairo looked at the source, he saw someone flying in the air and was approaching him with a disgusting apologetic look on his face. It was one of the three men that that blocked him before

Cairo's heart turned cold and his expression darkened. Cairo knows that without Del, that fireball will hit him, he might even die because of that and Cairo hates it the most when his life was being threatened

A great sense of anger spread all over Cairo's body. He might have plans to mind his own business and not offend people as much as possible but Cairo doesn't want to be a pushover

He knew who his backing is and Kira even told him not to let anyone bully him as she can deal with anything in the Kingdom. Cairo won't let this injustice be ignored!

The man reached an area close to Cairo and the disgusting expression on his face becomes prominent. "I'm sorry for the acci--"

The man still hasn't finished his words when the rune at the back of Cairo's right palm became visible and droplets of blood came out from it

This rune still has the same function as before but is much stronger with Kira upgrading it

Cairo controlled the blood and they turned into multiple threads that he uses to attack

The man was shocked that Cairo has the audacity to attack a talented and powerful mage such as him. However, his strength is still not something that Cairo can contend to

Sparks of fire formed around the man that he uses to burn the blood threads as easily as breathing

Cairo's anger just rose because of that and at a speed he doesn't know he has, he jumped in the air to charge at the man

Cairo's blood boiled and his fist exploded with strength. Del was about to make a move when Cairo controlled the slave collar in his neck and he was frozen in his place

Cairo might have some sides of him that are already matured but the majority was still full of childishness. He wants to punch this hateful man in the face but he knew that Del will stop him as his slave can't let him be injured

Too bad for Cairo that he is still a bit clueless about the disparity in strength for mages. His 'opponent' just made sands out of thin air and slammed it on his body

The kid was thrown several meters away in the air while blood came out from his mouth. One move was already enough to injure him this much. If not for the other mage stopping himself on time, just that one move is already enough to kill Cairo

"What do you think you are doing!" An angry woman's voice entered everyone's ears as Kira arrived on the scene

With a flick of her hand, a big ball of water was formed and Kira threw it in Cairo's direction. The water received Cairo's body that prevented him from receiving an even graver injury if he falls to the ground

As for Kira's other hand, she shot a beam of light at the man that injured Cairo and when it hits his body, a rope of light wrapped on him

The mage's face immediately paled. Although he was arrogant, he still did not think that the soon to be Queen will catch him in action

Kira flew to Cairo's side and a white light covered her palm that she uses to heal the kid's injury

"Explain! What happened here?!" Kira shouted to Del while freeing him from the effects of the slave bindings

Del was only about to speak when Cairo beats him to it. "H-he wants to kill me!" Cairo accused with a pale face due to his injury.

Cairo even controlled his body and the shaking from it caused a stabbing pain to appear in Kira's heart. Cairo has some affection for Kira as the woman is good to him and she is also his sister in the past. He doesn't want to deceive her but what he said was partly true

If it was just Cairo, he would really die. The mage might have only attacked him on purpose and make it look like an accident because he knew that Del will protect him

"N-No it was an accid-- !!" The man wants to clear his name but Cairo didn't give him a chance to do that

"H-he and his friends coveted my training grounds but I refused and he attacks me!" Cairo continued while looking at Kira with an aggrieved expression on his face

That immediately ignited Kira's fury and the light rope binding the man tightened. "From now on, you and your friends are expelled from the Royal Palace and can only be commoners in your whole life!" Kira declared like the Monarch she is

Cairo was a bit disappointed with that outcome but he knew that he can't ask Kira to kill these hateful people

"W-what! N-no! Y-you can't do that!" The man said in a hysterical tone but Kira doesn't have the patience to continue listening to him

A small part of the light rope detached itself and covered the man's mouth, only muffled sounds can be heard from him now

"Where are his friends? I want them to be expelled!" Kira asked Del before a voice from an old man entered everyone's ears

"Princess Kira, they are geniuses of the Kingdom, are you really going to destroy the future of the people that can be the future pillars of the Larton Kingdom for an untalented kid?"

Kira turned her head and saw an old man that is the epitome of an old-fashioned Noble. His whole body was adorned with richest as if he wants to flaunt all his wealth that he only got because he was born from a good family

Contrary to what the old man expected, Kira nodded her head. "Yes, I do, so what?"
