King " Though that sounds interesting, and you do have certain unchangeable link to the said wizard, it is still hard to see how the man whose death made you in the celebrity you are today, will be any form of bargaining chip to be used against an entire nation. "

I could roughly understand the thoughts of the king. Even in my original timeline it took the collapse of the entire ministry for the magical community to recognise and acknowledge the re-emergence of him.

It was not that they did not wish to see the truth before their eyes due to him and his followers being overly covert and smart about their plans, it was just that his coming out the first time had made so traumatic an experience that the wizarding community as a whole wished to deny even the slight possibility of him coming back in any shape or form.

But, I too was not here to ask the king and the goblin nation to be involved in any non-sensical fight for glory against that madman. I had an altogether different task for the goblins.

I understood that the conversation had taken a turn that had rendered the goblin king a bit on the edge so without any more suspense or delay I began to narrate my thoughts to the goblin king.

Me " It is true that I am sure of his return, and that is because I can sense him. I do not know the exact mechanics of his resurrection but I am sure that it will happen very soon. When that happens, the followers he had left behind will once again answer his call and the great game of evil vs good will begin once again.

The previous time this unfolded, the goblin community was but a spectator as they have been since the goblin war. You are the caretakers of almost all the wizard wealth of great Britain. I understand that the goblins do not meddle with underhanded transactions and do not believe in confiscating the gold that has been stored based on the definition of good and bad from the human magical community.

The thing that I do not understand is that when both good and evil amongst the wizards are fighting, why do you keep their treatment same.

I do not mean that you differentiate between them, all I want to tell you is that you change the policies according to the situation.

While the wizards are busy in their internal turmoil they tend to be very negligent about their money matters.

If at that time you were to change the limitations on the transaction procedures and increase the fee upfront, though they will be upset for a while they will have to comply if they want to maintain their advantage over the other side.

I also understand that this plan of mine has an obvious flaw.

The war will end at one point and whoever wins will end up targeting you for the treatment they received during this war.

While this might have been a genuine concern in the previous war, this time you have nothing to worry about as you will have me as your support by the end of this war.

I can also assure you that no matter how terrifying the madman is, I have a way to defeat him for sure and I would require your trust.

Though I cannot indulge everything, just know that when the timing is right I will eradicate him for good and the pressure that you might face for your acts during the war will be neglected once I take my rightful position. "

I was very satisfied with how I conveyed my thoughts in front of one of the most powerful magical beings.
