Chapter 57: Exiled scum

A brown gem werewolf shouted out at Dyllis and her new companion "Exiled scum why are you back and what is that thing next to you!" He snarled gritting his sharp teeth together, the gem werewolf next to her let out a mocking laugh "Little Chao is that any way to treat the man that raised you?" He yelled back at the brown gem werewolf, the gem werewolf behind the wall flinched.

"Still you cannot come back old man Tang" Chao exclaimed with hatred his whole body shaking from either anger or fear of the gem werewolf besides Dyllis, she decided to speak to cut the thick tension "I asked him to bring me here so I can offer you and your people a job" Dyllis spoke slowly not wanting to agitate the younger gen werewolf, his ears flicked backwards "I'll go get the chief," Chao said and hop down from the platform and ran off somewhere in the gem werewolves hold.

Twenty minutes later the gates open the gem werewolf with brown fur named Chao had a few other werewolves behind him "The walking corpse is the only one allowed to come in" Chao declared, Tang let out a snort and eyed the others "Well miss I'll wait for you out here and Don't forget your promise" Tang turned around and casually climb up a tree to wait for her to come back. Dyllis stood up straight and walked steadily inside the hold of gem werewolves.

They escorted Dyllis towards a large wooden lodge, here a gem werewolf with a blue gem sticking out of his chest sat on a large throne-like chair made of stone, patterns of water decorated his white fur coat, shining brighter than a later at night. Everyone in the room gaze turns towards Dyllis's disfigured face and figure, the room remained quiet non of them dare voice their opinions about Dyllis while the king was sizing her up "You wanted to hire my tribe zombie?" He questioned with a voice of authority his gaze chilling her to the bone 'He's an A rank monster for sure, I am not even sure if my wendigo will work on him' she thought nervously.

"Yes, I need some soldiers for my army as my current soldiers are quite pitiful" Dyllis explained why she came "What your pay?" He asks with caution "Twenty slivers per soldier for every month" Dyllis reply confidently, the gem werewolf chief narrow his eyes at her "What are the benefits if we join you?" he asked, Dyllis smile reappear "I can share my immorality~" her tone turned dark by the end of the sentence. The spectators burst with chatter while their chief thought about this matter "let's form a contract" he raised his voice.

"Of course, can I leave it to you to make the contract? I have yet to learn to write" Dyllis asked sheepishly, "very well" he reply and wave his claw in dismissal, Dyllis bow and left the lodge cabin "I'll come back later," she thought as she left the gem werewolf hold needing to do some hunting as well as to stock up in food again.

That day many lives were lost eerie screams echo in the forest causing a new legend to emerge on this unfortunate day any of those who heard the screams and went to go check out the source only found splashes of blood all over the settlements but they never found a body later that night Dyllis reemerge at the Gem werewolf settlement, the gem werewolf let her inside and escort her to the lodge cabin once more.

On the stone throne seated a middle-aged man with white hair and blue steaks, his arms are covered in water-related tattoos. He wore regal clothing fitted for royalty, the other gem werewolves in the room are dressed up like nobles but a bit more casual even the gem werewolves that escorted her here are wearing armour that has wolf-like features. The regal-looking white and blue hair middle-aged man broke Dyllis to come closer. A piece of paper sat on the side table right next to the chief "Check the contract and tell me if you want to change anything" He stated plainly as Dyllis picked up the paper and read the content.

"I would like to have access to your C rank gem werewolves as of the moment I can't give any living thing a high grade then me immortality" Dyllis stated finding the rest of the contract satisfactory "Done!" he said as he flick his index finger and thumb together with the wording on the paper change a bit now stating that she had access to three hundred Gem werewolves who will receive immortality.

"All of those who wish to take the job must fill the sheet as there are only three hundred spots for this golden opportunity to become immortal while working a fair wage" the chief stated immediately a line up started to form outside the hall as the chief spike loud enough for everyone outside to hear him as well. He made a copy of the contract for himself before letting Dyllis go "They can meet me outside in the morning after they pack their stuff" Dyllis waved goodbye, she walked slowly out of the settlement and found her way to Tang who was napping up in the tree.

Looking up she can see a silhouette of a man snoring on one of the branches, She dug her nails into the old tree and climb up like a pro mountain climber 'I feel like that one spider superhero' she thought as she climb with ease, she rested her body on the opposite branch deciding to go nap for a bit while waiting for her new soldiers.

Earlier today she found other settlements and spread Wendigo fever without giving them a choice or the whole settlement became her food supply, leaving behind only bloodstains in other words the place looked like a ghost town.

The blue hair Wendigo shaman found herself in a familiar black room that has black transparent screens showing her system rank among other systems from the last time she checked it had gone up a hundred slots. The red Ai was lazing around on a lime green couch, where the AI got it from she had no idea. The blue hair young lady sat down at the low table and pour herself a cup of tea "Show me how many individuals has join my clan" She order the system a second later the transparent screen appear.

Her lips quirk upwards into a small smile "this is a good start but I am going to need more soilders even though I got three hundred more on the way" she talked to herself in an amused tone. Dyllis closed the window and gave out another command "How much exp is store away in my exp hoarder title?" she question the system, the AI got off their butt and walked over "You have 478,000 exp ready for your update" The AI spoke emotionlessly.

"How long will my update take if I use all of that exp?" she question the red Ai, it inhale "About three months time" it reply, for one that ain't too bad but she felt ambitious to starve for more experience points to shorten the time so she can train her new soilders and what not while preparing rations for her army. Dyllis wasn't worry about money because she has 1,200 gold worth of monster hides, meat, bones and even a few rare gems she had found.

"System how do I balance the world?" she question the system as so far she had been winging it "Be the naturally evil that the world needs" the AI respond in motone giving her a look of mockery, the blue hair woman raised her eyebrows at the expressive AI "So should I take over some of the humanoid settlements?" she question herself while tapping her long nails on the table "That's a good start host" the red Ai reply agreeing with her plan.
