Vampire Diaries 12: Destined To Be The Werewolf's Wife

"Where do you think you are going?"

"Let me go, Jack! Talk to me when you are ready."

I tell him to losses up his grip from my arms but he's too persistent.

"Stay with me, Thalia. I'm begging you, please–"

Jack walks closer to me but suddenly I was standing behind him.

I can not believe how and why I can walk as fast I as I did earlier. I was breathing heavily and shocked upon knowing one of my abilities.

When I was a Princess, I can't walk as fast a Vampire. I think I should accept the truth that I am truly a creature who drinks blood to survive.

Jack turned his back and said, "Don't use abilities to run away from me! I'm warning you, Thalia! I will kill your pare–"

"Stay away from my wife!"

A loud voice sounded like a huge beast attacking its prey. Until I see something squealing near to the window.

"Jack, I heard something suspicious at the window!" I look at him, panicking and don't know what to do but the Vampire King breath deeply and said. "What's wrong? There's nothing on the window and I think, you need to rest Thalia."

He was about to touch my hand but I hit and reply, "Believe me! There's something on that damn window!"

I almost throw everything that I can see, until the window creaks and break into small pieces.

It is made of glass which makes it vulnerable and easy to ravage by simple efforts and attacks.

Jake walks closer to me and put me behind. He said, "Werewolves! They are here as they usually attack us during daylight!"

Jack holds my arm as he cups my face. He brings me to the King's huge bedroom which may protect me from any danger.

However, as he was about to open the door. A beast grabs his arms and scratched it relentlessly.

It is surprisingly and frighteningly when the beast moves his arm upward which makes Jack rolls into the slippery floor.

I want to help him but when he sees me running towards the beast, Jack pushes inside.

However, the werewolf furiously hit him.

Frames, figurines and even the glass and luxurious table suddenly tear apart when a werewolf crashes it.

I don't understand why he seems angry with Jack. But I should not be shocked as the Vampire King have always a lot of enemies. Who wanted the throne and the title itself.

"Jack!"

I screamed so loud when I witness that the beast punches him so hard.

His lips bleed but thanks to his powers. Jack licks his lower lip and stands as if there's nothing to be afraid of.

He walks back and forth while the werewolf remains with its position.

"It looks like I've met the beast before. Th–the colour of its eyes and his aura! It feels like I know him personally."

I put my hands on my chest as I watch the fighting.

I can say that a Knight and a Prince are fighting over the Princess they both love and wanted to their wife.

However, only one of them will be crowned as the Princess' King.

Only the deserving nobleman who will take good care and serve the Princess for his life.

Unfortunately, I am taken aback when the beast attacks Jack without his knowledge. The werewolf uses its strength to carry a young Vampire like Jack.

It howls and growls like a huge bear before he finally throws Jack into the floor.

Without qualms and doubt, I crawl closer to him. I don't mind if it will going to hurt me but I need to save the Vampire King's life.

"Jack!"

"Hold on, Jack!"

I almost cried upon seeing him, bathing with his own blood.

Jack tries to utter a word but he's too weak to do it. He touches his abdomen as he perhaps feels all the pain that the werewolf caused.

"No! Stay there and save yourself, Thalia! I... I can protect myself from this poor, little werewolf!"

Despite of the suffering, he compels himself to stand still. He even walks to the corner where a clean cloth can be seen.

Jack chuckles while wiping his lips and nose.

Blood passes through the tiny holes of the cloth. But, I know he's more powerful than the intruder.

"Come on, Jack! Use your power and show the world that you can beat anyone even a voracious beast like him!" I applaud and hails Jack to encourage and to enlighten him.

I know he's too young to be the King but Emilia tell me that his father chooses him as the next and best King of Vampire's Empire.

I narrow my eyes when I see the beast walking towards me. Its eyes look like human eyes, but I know that its only a beast who's looking for its prey.

I hold my breath when it continues walking closer to me. "Huh! Huh!" I gasp as I don't have other choices but to close my eyes and wish that it will vanish the moment I open my eyes.

I know I will be safe. I see Jack prowling and moving secretly with the werewolf's awareness. 

"Grrrrrowl!"

I speculate that it the beast who's growling horribly. I know that it is too excited to eat and swallow me alive.

But the moment I open my eyes, the beast lies on the floor. Breathing deeply while seeing what a real Vampire looks like.

Jack becomes different totally. His hair grows until his shoulder and his eyes are red. But the scariest evolution is the pointed and sharp fangs he has.

"Ja–"

"Don't come closer!"

I crawl back when he yells on me.

I know that he can remember me but he's doing this to avoid me from being hurt.

Jack claps his hand for countless times. He is smiling widely as he stops in front of the dying werewolf.

"I've warned you not to disturb me when I'm with the woman of my life.  I've told you and I did not miss even a single day to remind all of you! But still, you tried and you came at the wrong time!"

Even my knees and lips are trembling, I force myself to stand and watch Jack speaking with the beast.

From afar, I can say that it is breathing hard and heavy. Sooner or later it will be dead, but causes a lot of troubles.

Jack pull out the dagger from the drawer. He grasps it tightly and put it into the beast's chest. He said, "If this dagger went deeper and deeper, you will never see the sun again. You can no longer disturb my palace!"

Jack thrusts the dagger but the beast vanish like a flash.

I gulp and looks around to find it but I failed to. Until I see Jack soaking wet with his blood.

The dagger was stabbed into his chest and blood dribbles from his mouth and nose.

"Jaaaaack!"

I run towards him.

Wishing to save his life but I am too late.

Jack is not breathing and he is looking at nowhere, at somewhere that is fist and far.

I burst into tears and can not believe that with a snap of my fingers, things will turn like this. But, I know I can fight against the werewolf.

"You will pay for what you did to the Vampire King! I will make sure that you will be dead before you can escape!"

I clench my fists as I put Jack's head into the floor. I touch his eyes and closes it.

Eliminating the fear within me, I turn my back and face the werewolf behind me.

It is still strong and capable of killing me but I won't let him touch not lay his paws on me.

"It's time to repa–"

I can not continue with my words when the beast corners me.

I am on the bottom as it is on the top of me.

"Leave me alone, beast!"

I spit out but it remains calm and looking at me. I feel dismayed by dragging myself down because of fear. Because of me, Jack died.

Tears flow down into my cheek but I feel like there's someone wiping it away.

I close my eyes as it is soothing. His touch makes me calm and alive until I heard it says, "You are mine, Thalia. And no one can steal you from me. No one, as you are the destined to be the werewolf's wife."
