Prologue

Moon Young Jae's life was a mess. Even though his name meant destined to be prosperous, there was no prosperous in his life. Cousin brother manipulated and outed him to his family at 17, during his school graduation party. His family started to hate him since then. Because of the family name becoming tainted in the society, they threatened him never to bring shame by making his 'disease' known to the world.

His father moved him to an apartment away from home. He entered college at the age of 17 as he skipped grades two grades and graduated two whole years early. In the third year college of software engineering, he started his internship, in the small company that belonged to his senior. He made everyone in the company to marvel with his smartness. His ideas for the gaming and his coding skills were the core part of developing the game, 'The Five Empire.' He poured his heart and soul into the game and created the first version.

The first version of 'The Five Empire' bought their company to fame. Dusk was hailed as a hero for including history and culture of South Korea into the game. Towards the middle of fourth-year degree, he fell in love with his senior and owner of the company, Jun Hong Joo. Hong Joo did like Young Jae, but he loved himself more.

In the end, he tricked Young Jae and claimed the credit to the entire game of 'The Five Empire – season 2'. When Young Jae confronted, he was called a scammer and got kicked out. His influential family didn't come to his aid but instead was threatened by Jun Hoon Joo about exposing his homosexuality. His enraged father beaten him to up blindness, left him bleed to death and disowned him.

His cousin sister, Moon Chin Sun, only attempted to help him, which saved his life.

With a heart of stone, he decided not to love, seek help and trust other, Young Jae started his life for himself. He was selfish, insecure and aloof. The detest he held for others, especially stranger wondering their motives to talk to him affected him.

Frown permanently itched on the face, sigh-ing being a constant reaction, Young Jae gave back-off vibe to everyone. He was soft-hearted to only a few.

Then Wang Min Jun enters his life. With a never-ending smile and patience, he charmed his way into Young Jae's heart. He was always calm, composed and decisive, just like his name quick, gentle and handsome. At least that was what Young Jae thought. He was completely taken back to know the Min Jun was passive lava waiting to erupt at the trigger.

Wang Min Jun experienced abandonment, hatred and abuse in his childhood. Like a knight in shining armour, he had his baby doll rescuing him and giving him family in her way. Since she entered his life, there was nothing but happiness in his life. But that doesn't mean he was not taught how to assess people. He was manipulative, vicious and cruel once anyone gets into his bad book.

Outwardly, he always comes across as someone who figured his life. But it came with the price of pain, fear of commitment and abandonment issues. He was hurt by all of and making the best effort to overcome them.

Wang Min Jun always held his high for two reasons – his moral upbringing and his family. He considered two people more valuable than his life – his baby doll and elder brother.

When Min Jun was working hard to make himself better, Young Jae enters his life. With a frown and pessimistic view, he got all of Min Jun's attention. Attention became care and care evolved to crush. In a blink of an eye, the crush turned to romantic interest. Even before realizing, he was standing in front of people, Young Jae considers family, asking permission to court him even before approaching Young Jae with his feelings.

When a person betrayed by a family fell in love with a person who holds his family above everything, do sparks fly or the indifference breaks them apart.
