Attraction and Repulsion

TIME : 12:13PM

LOCATION : UNKNOWN ( ????? )

"So Jace was taken last night??....by whom??"

Karan looks up at the men before him.

"From the description given by the witnesses we overheard, there's a big chance it was that Dan guy that took him."

"Well, well… the boy seems to have upgraded from stealing objects to taking people."

Armstrong comments with a sarcastic voice.

"This is no joke, Armstrong … if we keep on letting him have his way, he might soon tempt himself to challenging us, we need to take him down before he becomes more than just a nagging headache."

Karan replies Armstrong 's comment before turning to the Razas in front of him.

"Have you found out where he lives??"

"Yes sir, he lives not too far from the city in a motel, Ninos Homot, he stays there with the owner and his family, Hermit if I'm not mistaken."

Karan nods his head with appreciation.

"The both of you have done a great job with your investigation and I'm happy you didn't fail me, now I have one more task for you before you can take your leave, call Cheng and inform him of Jace's abduction."

Karan says has he waves them off.

"Yes sir."

The men in suits reply in unison as they both take their leave…..

TIME : 1:18PM

LOCATION : GOVERNMENT HOUSE, CALOS CITY

"You can't be serious… how is that even possible??"

Cheng says with frustration written all over his face.

"Karan said it would be best if we informed you, we'll be taken our leave now."

Karan's messengers take their leave with Cheng fuming…..

"If I find out that your detectives are responsible for this, I promise you I won't spare them."

Cheng says over a receiver.

"You don't have to worry about anything, Cheng, my men already know where they might be, I'll send out some officers with an arrest warrant for the both of them, you just relax and let me handle this."

Gr'egor remarks over the receiver.

"You better fix this, Gr'egor or I'll do it my way."

Cheng warns after which he drops the phone on Gr'egor.

"Those detectives have to be dealt with before they cause any more trouble."

Cheng mutters to himself as his thoughts run wild…..

TIME : 6:10PM

LOCATION : WESTERN HABOR WAREHOUSE

Dan scopes the warehouse from the top of a building opposite it, the street below is pretty empty with very few people passing by, he watches from his vantage point all activities taken place below, checking the direction the sun positioned itself has time flew by.

"I was expecting him to be here by now, why is he taking so long??"

Dan mutters under his breath, he is about to give up hope when his quarry arrives.

Crow drives into a parking spot close to the warehouse and steps out, looking around, his eye catches a silhouette of a figure standing at the top of a building, he waves it away and briskly walks into the warehouse, acknowledging the guards at the front gate as he walked in…..

Dan gains access to the warehouse by using a window he noticed was not getting much attention from the guards and was thus left under little supervision…he drops in trying not to make so much noise and then starts to follow Crow once he gets him in his sight, he follows Crow into a secret passageway leading to an attic below.

Crow stops in his tracks and turns round.

"You have done a good job of sneaking up on me but I would advice you come out now and introduce yourself.".

Dan reveals himself from the shadows with a smug look on his face.

"I guess there's no need for hide and seek anymore so I'm just gonna ask you a few questions after which I'll take my leave, if that's ok by you."

Crow is unimpressed with Dan's tone and goes ahead to reply him in like manner.

"You must be Dan Ruso, Karan told me all about you."

Dan is taken aback by Crow's revelation.

"you seem shocked, are you surprised we know about you already…. You are really good in what you do Dan, I mean you succeeded in keeping yourself hidden for so long but then you made two mistakes; firstly, you stole from Cheng and secondly, you decided to go fight in an establishment for money…. You are good Dan but you have been pretty sloppy these past few days."

Dan regains his composure and manages a smile.

"So what if you have discovered my identity, that doesn't stop me from going on with my plans, so stop blabbering and tell me what I want or I'll make you tell me…. So first question, what can you tell me about an incident that occurred 13 years ago involving Governor Cheng and the Ruso family which resulted in the Ruso family getting wiped out."

Crow looks Dan dead in the eye.

"Don't make me laugh."

Crow says with a smirk on his face.

"Answer the question Crow or else."

Dan tightens his fist.

"You and I know that I won't be telling you anything so why don't you just get down to beating me up as I'm sure that's the real reason you are here, I see you has someone that must have done his research so I'll just help you by confirming your already established suspicions….. Yes, Governor Cheng and his cronies killed your parents."

Crow begins to pace around the room with his hands in his pocket.

"Why??"

Dan asks on a pained voice.

"Unfortunately my friend I won't be able to answer your remaining questions so you should save them for when you meet Cheng…. That is if you ever get to."

Crow replies with a smile.

"I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face."

Dan runs towards Crow and the two men clash, Crow dodges Dan's punches and retaliates with a counter punch, that knocks the wind out of Dan… Dan takes a few steps back and measures up his options, Crow smiles and says.

"my turn."

After which he puts up his palm.

"Uchi ni oide ( come to me)."

A strong attractive force takes hold of Dan and pulls him towards Crow, Dan tries to break free from the force but is unable to do so and is left helpless to it's grip over him, Crow grabs Dan by the neck once he gets in arms reach and looks him dead in the eye.

"You are nothing but a pest that has to be crushed to avoid future problems."

Dan continues to struggle but his efforts are futile.

"It is futile to struggle, you will only end up tiring out, yield."

Crow says as he tightens his grip on Dan's neck, choking him further, Dan manages to move his head and sets his eyes on a pile of iron rods not to far from where he was, he then frees his right palm and faces it in the direction of the pile, he looks back at Crow.

"You know, you talk too much."

Dan then moves his fingers causing the rods to move in the direction of Crow, Crow is caught off-guard by this attack and gets hit by the rods with Dan finally getting free from his grip… Dan stands to his feet and readies himself for round two of his encounter with Crow, Crow gets up and adjusts his shoulder with a fury in his eyes.

"I'll make you pay for that."

Dan scoffs and immediately attacks Crow with the remainder from the pile of rods from before, Crow puts out his left palm to block.

"Watashi kara shuppatsu ( depart from me)."

A strong repulsive force deflects the iron rods and send them flying back at Dan, Dan is taken aback by this and immediately moves out of the way.

"I get it now, so that's your ability, you are capable of manipulating attractive and repulsive forces, kinda like telekinesis but way more restricted… I wonder what path you are on at the moment."

Dan remarks in a calm tone.

"I see you are a smart one, but your measly deduction won't save you from me, I would suggest you leave now before I take things seriously."

Crow says in a menacing tone.

"Oh please, I'm gonna end you same way I'll end everyone working for Cheng."

Dan says in a proud tone, rising to his feet and taking a fighting stance.

"That is where you are wrong Dan, I work with Cheng not for him, I serve a higher purpose and I am only here to do my master's bidding, Cheng is but a pawn in the wider picture."

Crow replies in a tone that made Dan question his information on Cheng up to that point.

"What are you talking about, what do you mean??....Tell me right now."

Dan asks in a loud voice, Crow smiles and puts up his hand, Dan sees this and immediately jumps behind a pillar to avoid being caught by Crow's attractive pull.

"You are not getting me a second time with that trick."

Crow smiles and shifts his palm to where Dan was.

"Watashi kara shuppatsu ( depart from me)."

The pillar is hit with such force that it breaks hitting Dan that was behind it, Dan is shocked by this and immediately gets to his feet.

"I guess hiding isn't gonna work, I'll just have to stop you from using that ability of yours."

Dan says after which he charges forward to engage Crow in hand to hand combat, their bout is brief as Crow resorts to finishing the encounter quickly.... Crow dodges most of Dan's punches, noting the intensity of the punches and also the fact that Dan wore metal gloves, Crow was unwilling to risk breaking his arms by trying to block them, Dan notices this and puts it to his advantage, he tries a left jab but is unsuccessful has Crow dodges the attack and lands one of his own on his groin, Crow steps back and soon realizes that his punch had no effect on Dan.

"That armor of yours is really saving you from a whole lot of pain right now."

Dan adjusts his neck and moves his fist in quick one two jabs, sending two rods at Crow, Crow repels them and rushes forward, Dan swings his right leg and sends another rod at Crow, but that attack also proves pointless as Crow shrugs it aside, Dan dodges Crow's punch and both men engage in close combat again has they trade blows in quick succession, They go on for a while but are soon stopped by the entry of some guards that had come in for a routine sweep of the building, the guards seeing Dan immediately take out their firearms and point it at him, Dan steps back and seeing that he was outnumbered and outmatched, he decided against continuing the brawl with Crow and instead makes a run for it, Crow smiles and orders the guards to back down.

"He already has a surprise waiting for him at home."

Crow remarks with a sick smile on his face…
