Ripple Effect, Part Six

Two weeks pass.

After Akasan's welcoming party, the news of him becoming the King of Arcania spread out to the general public. There were new people coming into the country from all over.

The current population of Arcane City was now 876,003.

Akasan woke up in his bed. He yawned and looked out the window. It was cloudy outside.

There was a soft knock at his door.

tap, tap, tap.

Akasan got out of bed and walked to the door in his pajamas. He opened the door with a tired look on his face.

A demihuman girl in a maid outfit stood there. "I washed your clothes this morning sir. Here you go."

Akasan took the clothes. "Thank you."

The girl took a bow and walked off.

Akasan closed the door. "I don't think I'll get used to that."

After Akasan put on his clothes (he wore all-white now, unlike before), he left his room and headed to the lounge. There, Mayumi had just set down a tray holding a tea kettle and some teacups.

"Oh, good morning Akasan." she said.
