"The Secret of Virus No. 1"

Some were even on the same floor as Sanno's room, waiting for him to get out and look if he's going to do anything suspicious. But these men didn't know that Lovely could see them.

Before entering the D.M. Cadre Research Facility, Sanno had already hacked the whole Newton Grand Tower security, only for the purpose of his, his allies' and his family's safety. He had programmed some sort of indicator to make them know if someone, or Paul and his team would attempt to get CCTV footage from the staff in the condo. And if they did, they would receive the wrong videos automatically.

Lovely was informed by Sanno that he would not be going to his mom's place for a while, so she's temporarily in charge of the mission. He gave her all listening devices, including those connected to Sanya's things, just to be sure, in case Paul's men searched him again.

Earlier, when Lovely turned the wireless earphones on, she heard some weird noises, she shrieked, "What the heck was that! My innocence!" and so, she turned it off...

Morning came, and Sanno was asked to go to the research facility. Sanya had some extra clothes with her in her luggage. They decided to go to work together.

Sanya felt so refreshed, sleeping at Sanno's place. She knew it, her batchmate Trisha was wrong about her beloved caretaker. She had already scanned his place, and there was not even one suspicious detail. Even though Sanno didn't enter her like she had hoped, he took care of her. After he took a shower, he took away her blindfold and admitted that he enjoyed teasing her.

Sanya took a bath and he waited for her to finish. She changed to her striped pajamas, which made Sanno chuckle. He then led her in front of the mirror, brushed her long blue hair, and used the hair blower to dry it.

Sanya slept in the bed, while Sanno slept on the sofa which was in front of the bed. She felt that Sanno was taking things slowly for both of them, and she felt respected because of it. She really felt that he loved her very much, even if he couldn't express it in words.

Sanno's actions made Sanya fall for him even more.

On the other hand, Sanno barely slept last night. He was anxious that Sanya was in his room, and was afraid that she might come near him while he was sleeping. It didn't happen, though, because the naive young scientist was very tired that day.

Once they arrived at the Head Scientist's office, they were asked to be seated. They sat beside each other, in front of the Head Scientist and Assistant Scientist Roy.

"You're all here because of the recent incident involving the chameleon mutant," Dr. Logan explained. "We still didn't know who did it, or if it is... one of you." He looked carefully at how each one of them would react.

Roy was calm, and he was listening very closely to the Head Scientist.

Sanya looked worried, just like last time when she was framed up.

And Sanno, he... looked calm, too. He looked serious, just like Roy.

Sanya then said, "What's our next step? Didn't we catch the culprit last time because of Ms. Gwyneth? Why don't we contact her?"

Sanno knew that his ex-girlfriend Gwyn wouldn't want to see him suffer. Besides, they truly loved each other. If it wasn't because of that brat Jayce Hiddleworth, then perhaps, they're still together. But Sanno had already moved on, and he knew that Gwyn did, too, and she's now focusing on her career and her 3-year-old daughter. Still, he believed that because he saved her from Amanda Hiddleworth's 3rd son, she wouldn't do anything against him.

"She said that she's too busy lately as she's currently having three major projects in her company," Dr. Logan explained. "The big mystery is... how did the virus get into the system without the cybersecurity team's detection?"

For Sanno, the answer was simple. The first virus stayed in D.M. Cadre's system. They thought that it had disappeared and they had already secured their programs. Even if they put a lot of antivirus walls, what's the use of it if the virus had already infiltrated the system?

The first virus, after copying and transferring D.M. Cadre files into Sanno's database, was programmed to become a PDF file, just like normal e-copies of journals and reports. The title changed into "Development of a Non-corrosive Substance for the Purification of...", which looked like it had a long, real title, but it's a dummy file. It hibernated in PDF format, and using Sanno's remote program it woke up in an instant, following his orders.

While Dr. Logan talked to them, he ordered Paul and his team to forcibly enter their homes, except for Sanya, whom he believed to be innocent.

Assistant Scientist Roy's apartment was located two blocks West of D.M. Cadre. Paul's men looked thoroughly. Since his room didn't have many things and he's a very simple man, they didn't have a hard time.

While the other team, who was ready to infiltrate Sanno's unit 1101 in Newton Grand Tower, quickly searched, and they found his documents in his drawer. They took a photo of his birth certificate and some other documents that may be relevant for the investigation. They found (edited) pictures of him and his nanny, ever since he was a toddler, then he was six years old, as well as pictures of him when he was sixteen. Like Sanya, they were also convinced that the nanny was his mother.

They looked at a calendar attached near the door, which was full of scribbles. Notes like "day-off", and "meet with Sanya 7pm @ Griller's Heaven" were written. Aside from that, a different handwriting was also displayed there, with notes like "night shift" and "go home to Makylee". The security team believed it was written by his mother.

Aside from these, they took fingerprint samples and searched for strands of hair. They took hair samples from the comb placed in front of the mirror. They also found hair samples in a different comb inside the drawer, together with stuff like hair clips.

The security team investigated the place like it was a crime scene. But who's really the criminal here?

What they didn't know was, the whole crime scene was scripted!

Dr. Logan ordered his secretary Safina to serve them snacks, just to stall time. "Thank you," and when the secretary went out of the room, he faced them, "Come, eat. I had them prepared for this long meeting." He was waiting for their reactions, too. The culprit would surely be cautious in eating food from D.M. Cadre.
