Battling David Part 2

David wanted to shout but it was as if something had placed a lock on his throat. He lost his voice in an instant and he could not utter a single sound as if fear had completely swallowed his voice. 

David's body was cold and stiff, almost to the extreme. Unable to bear it any longer, he turned and ran. 

"Worthless. Must be eradicated." The eerie voice came from behind.

David ran without stopping, unable to stop panting. Even though he had already run a long way, that demon's voice seemed to be whispering next to his ears. He could hear it crystal-clear wherever he ran.

Hot tears burned in his eyes. He was afraid. He was always afraid that one day, he was going to die in this school, unknown and in a dungeon that nobody would remember. As he ran, the trees around him turned into a familiar cave-like dungeon. It was as if his chest was cracked into shards, the pain and fear drawing lines into his skin.
