Aiden Jenkins. Don't Let Me Cry

(Two Years Prior)

Aiden watched as the dancing figure changed color from deep crimson to light pink, manipulated by the water as it flowed down the drain. Against the white basin of the sink, the contrast almost looked beautiful to her.

"How did you manage to cut a deep gash in your palm while cutting baby potatoes?" Krissy chastised from beside her.

It was late afternoon, Aiden had been helping her sister prepare for the dinner that they were having with Jean-Carlos, that was until she decided that it would be a great idea to start cutting the potatoes against her palm instead of the cutting board. To her defense, it was extremely difficult to cut wet baby potatoes without them escaping her grip.

"Why did you even want me to cut them when they're already tiny?" Aiden asked as she pressed a fresh kitchen towel to her wound.
