Chapter 6 – Start small think big

In the main street on the opposite side of the normal college, a small convenience store stood alongside many other stores. Right at this moment, a group of people are lining up in front of the store as they waited for their turn to enter.

The reason for this, are the new products offered by the store.

On one side of the small store near the glass window, a small booth can be seen. And this booth has a glass case that displays many curious-looking stones, bracelets, stone necklaces, and more.

And behind that booth is a handsome young man smiling at his customers.

The young man is Curt Nilfiem…

It has already been two weeks since he has thought of a plan to earn money. Although he can find a way to immediately earn big, he thought that it would not be helpful to him and the people around him. Hence he should think of starting small, but in his mind, he can already see the big picture.

According to his memories, the other world from which his memory came from, is very chaotic. Although one can have power and authority, they also can face more trouble and tribulation.

Hence he decided to divert from that path and decided to start a slow yet comfortable life while also having that big picture in his mind.

He didn't mind the years he would spend, as he knows that when his strength grows by absorbing LEP energy, his lifespan would just increase naturally. Hence he didn't mind the long wait as long as he can hit his goal of giving Jenny Mae Lee, a good and wonderful life.

And so, he began to practice those skills he has learned from the other world.

First, he learned about formation arrays and amulets…

He plans to create a disposable one-time use item that people can use in their daily lives. Like for example, the Echo Stone which can enhance the memory of its wearer for a day. All they have to do is carry it in their body. Then there is the vigor amulet, which can alleviate stress and fatigue, the haste ring, which can speed up one's reflex by 3 times.

These things are the product of his practice and learning.

Then he also practices his carving skills.

So he plans a product in the store called the 'mini you' which is a thumb-size personalized finely crafted trinket or keychain. It is a 3D version of an image that the customer desired. For example, themselves, or from a picture.

At first, it was hard selling them, however, with the mouth of Boss Lan, everything suddenly began selling like a hot cake.

And those were some of the famous items available to be sold on the booth.

Behind the cashier's counter, there are also some uncommon items that he created while practicing his alchemy.

Like for example, the Skin Oil which can enhance the texture of one's skin and face. With regular use for 1 week, the user can see a huge change in the texture of their skin. For example, if one's face is filled with acne pimples or has been damaged by them and has turned into pockmarks, Skin Oil can make the skin smooth and healthy once again.

Then there is the Sunny Cream which has the same effect as the skin oil which one can use it when working outdoors.

And then the Creepy-Crawly insect repellant lotion, which is safe for kids. It is a byproduct of his experiment in making something that would protect him while harvesting herbs near the walls of the city.

These are just some of the things that Curt created which he decided that the store can sell.

When he initiated this plan of his, Lan Cuibing was a bit hesitant as he just wanted him to brew the tea. However, Curt didn't agree with this, as the tea would have a great effect on the medical world and would become such a huge headache for him.

And so, Boss Lan grumbly followed Curt's suggestion and helped the young man. Even his wife began helping in this project, as she was interested in those things that have a great effect on a woman's beautify.

And after that, the three of them began gathering materials. Though Curt did the harvesting of the herbs and the processing.

After producing enough stock for the store, they immediately initiated their plan.

And so, only after a week, this happened.

"I hope I still can buy an Echo stone… I need to review a lot of things today."

"Yeah, me too, I'm going to be swamped with work today. I need an Echo Stone and a Vigor amulet…"

"Honey, I want to have both our figures together… Hihi…"

"Okay, But I don't want a whole body…"

"Sigh… if I knew that Skin Oil is this effective I would have bought two bottles yesterday. I hope that there are still stocks available today…"

These are just some of the conversations that one can hear in this queue of people in front of the store.

Lan Cuibing at this time has a big smile on his face. Although his wife is already helping, it seems that it was not enough. So he hired another part-time worker to accommodate more people coming inside the store.

He suddenly shifted his gaze to the young man who is working hard on the booth and also at his wife who is at the store counter.

"I knew that guy has some skill… from the moment I laid my eyes on him I have the gut feeling that I should hire him even though his ability at that time is not that great… Hehe… Haha…" Lan Cuibing laughed within his mind.

At that time, he truly pitied Curt and saw himself in his shoes. Lan Cuibing is unlike any other normal humans living in this world. His body is very weak and frail just like Curt. Hence, when he noticed that Curt is just like himself, he took pity on the young man and immediately hires him.

Who would have known that the simple young man he hired after many years would have this kind of secret in him? He was really lucky and could not ask for anything more.

"Mister… Umm… Can… where can I buy those small stone figurines? I want to have the figure of my idol 'Gon Law'." A small cute little girl suddenly asked Boss Lan taking him out of his musing.

"Ow, well, you can ask that young man over there." Boss Lan said while pointing at Curt who is sitting behind the booth while doing something.

"Thank you, mister…" the cute little girl gave a cute bow at Boss Lan and hops towards Curt's direction.

While this is happening, a few men in one corner stood while eyeing the convenience store. There are ten of them and each of them is wearing a denim jacket. On their side, there are several motorbikes which are their means of transportation.

"Boss, this is the place… at first, I thought it was just hearsay, but my girlfriend bought one of those Skin Oil products that they sell and it was very effective… you know that my girlfriend has a lot of pockmarks on her face, right? I truly wanted to break up with her as I didn't know she looks like that without makeup. But then last week I was surprised by her facial skin looking young and beautiful… Hehe… I can't stop doing her from then on... Hehehe..."

"So I guess the rumors are true then… We should act fast and empty this place tonight. We can't let others get their hands on those valuable goods… it's a waste that those things ended up in this lousy place…"

"Yeah, boss… If we sold these things in the black market, it would fetch a far higher price."

"Haha… If everything is true, then we hit the jackpot."

"Hey, you and you… Come here." The group's boss who looks like a punk called out to two people.

"Yes, boss!"

"Try to buy the cheapest product inside, and observe the situation. You know the drill…"

"Don't worry boss… we got it. Hehe…"

Unknown to Curt Nilfiem, there are already people eyeing the store. Although he started small, he didn't realize that the product he has produced has been making waves inside and outside of the city.

Right now, a tall slender woman is currently entering a large conference room while holding three items in her hand while following a gorgeous looking woman in her 30's wearing a white body fit office suit.

Beside her is an equally gorgeous looking young man who is wearing a blue shirt and black slacks pants. From one look, one can immediately tell that these two are siblings.

When they enter the conference hall, the people inside immediately turned silent.

"Good morning everyone…" the woman in white said as she walks in.

The man took his seat in the center of the group. Then with a nod, one of the executives suddenly stood up and reported.

"President we have… and… and…"

"Our... have... and…"

Each of the departments began reporting their progress. After the reports, the slender woman who seems to be the personal assistant of the president suddenly stood up.

"I have discovered something novel… and the price has also astounded me. Ladies and gentlemen, look at this…" the personal assistant of the president said as she began showing a presentation to the group.

After her presentation, everyone immediately discussed it in a hushed tone. Then suddenly a middle-aged man raised his hand and stood up.

"Ahem… I think we should not just believe any of these… fantasy things… in the old days, our ancestors also believe in those and nowadays we discovered that they are all fake… we are well-educated people for crying out loud. Evolution is the key to our strength and progress so I suggest we put more budgets on our R&D department, rather than to these... kid's fantasies." the middle-aged man said with a smirk.

"I agree…"

"I agree…"

Some people began responding as support to the middle-aged guy. And this made the room turned silent. And the middle-aged man smirked and a proud look on his face appears.

He seems to be saying, "You're still too young to challenge me. Do you think it's easy to fight against me and the R&D department? In your dreams!… Just go back to your mansion and play your part as 2nd generation rich brats… and don't bother us here."

His reaction and the support of the people around him made the young president of the company quint his eyes.

"These people are too much…" he thought.

He wanted to rebut the middle-aged man, but a small and fair hand stops him.

"Let these old bastards be dealt with someday… we will show them." The white-suited woman whispered.

The young president clenched his fist into a ball and held himself back from erupting in anger.

"I'll show you all that I deserve this position." He thought with a determined glint in his eyes.

When he and his sister discovered these new and amazing products they immediately knew their value. However, they still wanted to show it to the board and the manager. But who would have known that this would happen?

Meanwhile, behind the middle-aged man, a person is currently whispering something and his face began to gradually change.
