Chapter 10
I sit, waiting for the show to begin. I then see Harry, Ron and Hermione entering, and I just smile, thinking about what's to come. I look at Ginny who also has a massive smile, and we wait for the post.
"Which one do you think will come first?" I ask, still looking at the trio.
"I think mum's one will come first." She said confidently, also looking at the trio.
"What's coming?" Luna asked, looking from me to Ginny.
"Well you're about to find out. It looks like you got it right, Ginny." I say pointing out Errol, who just crashed in front of Ron.
We see Ron pick up a red envelope with a grim expression. I start laughing, just at the face he pulled. Because we were far away, we only heard snippets. Like 'STEALING THE CAR, I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SURPRISED IF THEY EXPELLED YOU' and 'WE DIDN'T BRING YOU UP TO BEHAVE LIKE THIS, YOU AND HARRY COULD'VE BOTH DIED.' Me and Ginny are dying of laughter, the others are laughing too. Then after Ron's howler, in comes Hedwig with a red envelope for Harry.
He pales looking at it, then bites the bullet and opens it.
'WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU TWO? ARE YOU STUPID? DID YOU EVEN THINK THAT THERE ARE OTHER WAYS TO GET TO SCHOOL? WHY DIDN'T YOU WAIT FOR US, YOU ARE LUCKY DUMBLEDORE DIDN'T EXPEL BOTH OF YOU. IF YOU DO ANYTHING THAT STUIPD AGAIN, I'LL HAVE TO TEACH YOU MYSELF.' Said Harry's howler from mum.
I'm on the floor, at this point laughing so hard I thought I was going to die. Luna just looks at us.
"How did you know they'll get howlers?" She asked, in that dreamy way of hers.
"Well I know what my mum is like, and she wouldn't let Ron be the only one with a howler." I said, still laughing.
"And my mum was 100% going to send one, after what they did." Ginny said, also laughing.
"So the one Harry got was from your mum?" Luna asked.
"Yeah, she is his godmother after all." I say finally calming down.
I see Kuro waiting with a letter, I take it and give her head a pet. I read the letter, it basically says not to get into trouble like Harry, and a congrats on getting into Ravenclaw. Well at least mum won one bet. After breakfast, a timetable appeared. I take it and see the first class is potions. We get up and go to the dungeons. The door to the potions class opens, and everyone files in. We take our seats, take out our books, cauldron, scales, and wait for it to begin. Professor Snape, get up and starts.
"As there is little foolish wand-waving here, many of you will hardly believe this is magic." He starts, looking over the class. "I don't expect you will really understand the beauty of the softly simmering cauldron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate power of liquids that creep through the human veins, bewitching the mind, ensnaring the senses..."
He paused for effect, looking around.
"I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory and even stopper death - if you aren't as big a bunch of dunderheads as I usually have to teach." He finished, then spotted me, and coughed. "Um yes so I'll have you try and brew a Cure for Boils potion. You have one hour."
We start and all is going good, I crushed the snake fangs, and added it to the cauldron. Now we just leave it to brew for 33-45 minutes. Once done I add the horned slugs. Then I take the cauldron off the fire and add the last ingredient, porcupine quills. I stir five times clockwise, and finally wave my wand to complete. I look in the cauldron and see a blue liquid with pink smoke.
Professor Snape walks around the other students, and just scoffs. Then came my, Ginny, and Luna's turn. He looked into Luna's.
"Not bad." He said, moving on
Ginny was next, and hers was a lighter blue then mine.
"Not bad." He said again, moving on to me.
"You have inherited your mother's smarts, five points to Ravenclaw." He said, with a slight smile.
