Akiol awoke, after doing morning necessities and exercising. While eating his breakfast he browsed the forums again.
He realized that this morning routine wasn't the best in terms of health. He decided once Kan'na and Jarvis was found he would change up his schedule.
Most of the posts were either complaints or questions. These he skimmed through, he wasn't looking for anything in particular. One thing did catch his interest.
Bounty!!! 100 Gold for every kill on this person!

This peaked Akiol's interest, who would cause so much trouble that someone would spend 100 gold for every kill?
He clicked the image and what appeared stunned him. It was a purple haired sorcerer! Akiol couldn't see their face but he had a a sort of intuition that this person could be Kan'na.
He bookmarked the post and headed straight towards the VR helmet. After setting it up he went directly to the game, or he would have.
A string of words stopped him.
<The game is currently updating. Please wait...>
He logged out and went back to the forums, why in the world did he not know of this update??
He refreshed the posts and at the top there was a post from the developers. Created seven minutes ago...
So he missed it by a few minutes, it wasn't too bad. He then read through the patch notes.
Most notably it was the addition of a large arena in the cities. No one would be able to tell the difference since there was yet to be someone who could go to a city.
Next there was the addition to 'chat groups' mainly for the usage of non-guild players. Since guilds had a 'guild chat'.
These chat groups could have up to thirty different people in them. One major function was that you could link your forum account to the chat group and be able to chat to the people in-game. Since there was a lack of communication between real life and A World's Legacy'.
They also decided to add the forums into the game itself. Do to the high amount of traffic between logging in and logging out when popular posts are created. This also allowed the sharing of certain posts in-game for the chat group purposes.
This gained the approval of almost every player, except for the internet trolls and a few who were concerned of their account security.
There was also patch notes and changes to some of the moves. None of these moves affected Akiol much so he didn't care.
Of course there was the last note of a thank you to the players and a wish for fun.
This left Akiol stumped however, he didn't know what to do. Pondering of this small issue he was interrupted by a sound from his phone. Picking it up he looked at the notification.
-It's been a while, perhaps you should meet up with family.- Jessica
Jessica was James mother, James had left the family three years ago due to a major disagreement he had with his parents.
However Akiol went through the argument and decided that both parties were so emotional that none listened. James took an unnecessary action by leaving, and left his family relationship injured.
Akiol only had one fear, if he was to meet up, how much different would he seem? As far as Akiol could tell, not only was his attitude majorly different, but even his speaking patterns were different as well!
However he felt a small amount of responsibility towards James past life. Now that he had inherited everything of James, helping with some issues he had would be an act of repaying.
So he responded to the text.
-I don't have an issue with that, when should I come over?- James
-Next weekend would be best, your father would be off during that time.- Jessica
-Alright then, I'll come over Sunday. Tell me what time.- James
-Anytime after 12 would be ok. Thank you for doing this.- Jessica
-See you then.- James
He turned his phone off. He had been free for a while, this was the first ever 'planned' event he had since he arrived in this universe.
Noticing he still had some free time on his hands, he went for a walk.
The year is 2046 after some incidents in the past humanity took the lead once more. With improvement in various technologies and things were built to last again.
The self-driving car was completed. All taxi drivers were given a massive bonus and were let go from their jobs. Internet security had been at an all-time high, with phones needing fingerprints or retina scans. 'Hacking' became a thing of the past. Only accounts that have been breached were those with old account creation techniques.
Humanity's over all health and fitness had improved, with many old buildings being rebuilt or repaired. Roads being built more sturdily. Overall life was much better, however there was a downfall in jobs due to automation, and a rise in money for the already rich individuals.
The only few jobs that couldn't be automated were the ones the needed a human eye to discern. Like construction and other paperwork jobs. Partly the reason why the world was built nicely again was because the rise in construction jobs. Companies could take more requests from the city and private construction with more workers.
There was still many who couldn't work in these jobs however, so a particular multi-billionaire built homes for the homeless. Food and necessities would be provided for free and there people could learn and gain knowledge for other jobs. Disabled got paid by the government and humanity's moral had never been higher.
This also explained why the park Akiol decided to walk in was so lush and green. Nature had been protected and now there was parks almost everywhere. Providing the necessary amount of plant life improved basic life and human moods.
Akiol took a seat and absorbed the air. This place was fantastic, there wasn't any 'parks' from his world considering there could be many creatures who hide in the plants.
He did approve the usage of these parks, if some of his cities from his past life found a way to implement this. Many people would be happier.
As he soaked in the sun he felt sleepy. Before he knew it he fell asleep sitting on the bench.
