Chapter 61: Blackthorn Wands

A blackthorn wand is any wand that is crafted out of wood from a blackthorn tree. More specifically, a blackthorn wand is any wand that has a blackthorn shaft, a blackthorn handle, or both.

Blackthorn has the folk names: the Dark Mother of the Woods, Mother of the Woods, pear hawthorn, Sloe Tree (after its fruit), Um Tree, and Wishing Thorn.
