Fairy Tale

Dakota and Micah stayed up most of the night talking about buying the land across from the waterfall. When it got late, I couldn't stay awake any longer and went to bed. Later, Dakota slid into bed beside me and pulled me to his chest.

It was great having him back. I hated all the time we had spent apart after the accident. But this summer, I planned to make up for it.

"Morning," Dakota whispered in my ear early the next morning. "Rise and shine! Time to get up!"

"Ugg...." I snuggled onto his bare chest and closed my eyes. "I don't want to."

Dakota laughed and then whispered in my ear, "Don't you want to go with me and Micah to purchase the property today?"

My eyes flew open, suddenly wide awake. "Seriously? It's available?"

He nodded, enjoying my reaction. "Yup! It's privately owned. We're going to make an offer today."

"Wow!" I said, climbing out of bed. "Do I have time to shower?"
