Caught a cold

*next day

I woke up and did my morning routine. I headed down and made breakfast for all and went to shower.

After I showered I woke up them one by one and they freshened up and came.

We sat down to have breakfast.

"We'll be going to the park today." I said while eating.

"Yay yay." Chun and Cho shouted.

I finished eating and went over to my room to complete my work.

*time skip

It was afternoon. "Guys, we are going to the park, now. Get ready." I shouted out of my room and went to get changed.

The weather was quiet nice. I took my camera and walked out. Jungkook, Chun and Cho were waiting for me.

We walked to the park.

I and Jungkook were talking and laughing all the way to the park.

We reached the park and the kids went to play. While I and Jungkook were sitting on the bench and thinking what to take.

"The grass?" Jungkook asked.

"Nope." I said immediately.

"How about the sky?" He asked.

I gave him a death stare.

"Yah, People who are lazy only take pictures of skies. Think something different." I said.

"Ok, chill."

"Hey, I'm not angry." I said.

"You were angry."

"Just shut up." I said and hit him in his arm.

"Owww. Y/n hit me. Ahh, it pains a lot."

"Do you want me to become a murderer?" I asked him lifting one eyebrow.

"Sorry." He said and became quiet.

"Hahhahahhaha!!" I laughed.

"Why are you laughing?" He asked.

"Your reaction was the best I've ever seen. Omg, you literally became scared when I told you that." I said and laughed more.

He laughed with me.

We kept talking instead of working on the activity given.

"What kind of movies do you like?" I asked.

"Comedy, romance, horror. There a lot, but this is what I like the most. What about you?" He asked.

"Horror? I'm not really into horror. I too like romance and comedy. Other than that I love thriller films. It's like the best. It has suspense and it's just amazing. In books also I have only thriller or murder or crime books." I said feeling excited.

"What would be the best thriller film and the best book you've ever seen or read?"

"Best movie? Joker or escape room. Books, I can't say. But I love Agatha Christie. She has the best thriller books."

"You're really into this." He said.

"We really forgot about why we came here." I said. It was slightly drizzling.

"Oh shit. I totally forgot it. And it's drizzling. What to do now?" He said.

"I got it. Just sit here." I said and took the camera.

I saw Chun and Cho playing in the rain. I took a picture of them and other kids enjoying the rain falling.

I went over to Jungkook and said,

"Let's go. I got it."

"Show me at least." He asked.

"No. It's a surprise. You'll see it tomorrow." I said and walked over to the kids and called them.

He came behind us and we walked home. The rain became heavier on our way. We were almost drenched.

We sheltered ourselves under a shutter. It was quiet small.

Jungkook removed his jacket and put it on the kids head so they don't get wet.

The kids were playing with water. It was so cold. I kept rubbing my arms. I was shivering. I was all wet by the rain, so was Jungkook.

My eyes my burning. Maybe I caught a cold. I sneezed suddenly.

"Y/n, are you okay? Your eyes are red." Jungkook asked worried.

"I'm fine." My voice was different.

He put his hand on my forehead.

"You're warm." He said.

The rain was getting low.

"Let's hurry up and head home." He said. We walked fast and reached safely.

He opened the door and we went in. I felt weak. I couldn't walk anymore.

My head was aching badly. My eyes were burning. I had a running nose.

I again sneezed.

"Achooo!"

"Y/n, you're not well. Get dressed first." He said. I nodded and walked.

My eyes were getting blurry. I tripped on my leg. I closed my eyes tight.

I felt someone's arms on me. I opened my eyes and saw jungkook.

He lifted me up and said,

"Be careful. I'll help you." He helped me walk upstairs.

"Change and call me when you're done." He said and left.

I changed and washed my hair. I tied the towel to my head. I sat down in front of my mirror.

*knock knock

"Come in." I said in a tired voice.

"Are you done?" He asked. I nodded.

"You haven't dried your hair." He said and connected the hair drier plug and switched it on.

"Do you really have to do this?" I asked.

"Otherwise, it'll become even worse." He said and continued drying my hair.

I let him do cause I couldn't do it.

"You haven't dried your hair yet." I said.

"I'll dry it later. First, you need to cause you've caught a cold." He said.

He finished drying my hair. He helped me get onto the bed.

"Rest for sometime. I'll bring you some food later." He said.

"What about Chun and Cho?" I asked in a tired voice.

"That I'll take care of. You don't need to worry about it." He said and left.

My eyes gradually closed.

*time skip

"Y/n?" I heard someone call me.

I opened my eyes and saw jungkook. I sat up.

"Here, eat this porridge." He handed me a bowl.

My eyes were still burning. They burning so much that tears flowed.

"Are you ok?" He asked and wiped tear.

"My eyes are burning." I said.

He touched my forehead.

"You're getting warmer." He said and went to the washroom.

He came back with a bucket of water and a cloth.

He dipped the cloth in it and kept it on forehead.

I ate the porridge. Eating it, I got some strength.

"Here's the medicine." He said. I drank it and felt a bit ok.

"Tomorrow, you don't need to come to college."

"What? (*cough) Why?" I asked.

"See. You're not well, so you'll stay." He said.

"I'm fine. It's just running nose." I whined.

"Doesn't matter whatever it is, you're staying." He said and went.

"Come on!" I shouted.

It was of no vain. I just slept cause I was a bit tired.

*next morning

I woke up by my alarm. It was 6:00 in the morning.

I freshened up myself and went out of my room.

"Hey y/n. Morning." Jungkook said from the kitchen.

"Morning." I said yawning.

"I've kept food for you guys here. Heat it while eating. Now I'll leave, bye." He said and left.

"Bye." I said and immediately went to my room and quickly changed.

I waited for sometime and left. I'm going today and no one can stop me.

I took some tissues, a kerchief and a balm and my camera. Can't forget it. I walked slow cause if I go fast, he'll find out.

*time skip

I finally reached the campus. And luckily, Jungkook was nowhere near me.

I went to my locker and took some books and was leaving. I stopped seeing Jungkook coming from the other side.

I quickly hid myself somewhere. I watched him go to the cafeteria.

I sighed in relief.

I came out and went to my class. There were few people in the class.

"Y/n." I heard a very familiar voice.

I acted like I didn't hear him and went over to my desk and laid down.

"Y/n, what are you doing here? I asked you to rest. Why did you come? What do it gets high?" He started lecturing.

I couldn't take it. I got up and joint my hands together and begged him to stop.

"Enough! Come on, it's just a cold. I'm not gonna get serious." My voice was raspy. I again sneezed.

"Ok, I got your point. Tomorrow, I'll definitely take rest. I promise." I said.

"Ok. What about the photo?"

"Oh ya. I forgot. Here." I said and showed him.

"It's really nice."

"Prepare yourself to speak something, cause I can't." I said coughing. He nodded.

*time skip

It was photography period. We went to a different class for that.

I and Jungkook seated ourselves at the last bench.

"Good afternoon students." Mr Kim said.

"Good afternoon sir!" We all sang.

"Seat yourselves. Have you all done the assignment?"

"Yes sir." We sang again.

"Ok, let's start from this side. You can go first." He said to the first pair, from our side.

They took a picture of sky.

I and Jungkook looked at each other. I wiggled my eyebrows looking at jungkook.

"You're a genius." He whispered.

Most of their chances were over. They got grass, pond, tree, etc. There were only two more people before us.

Their turn finished and now it is ours.

"This is our picture. A boy and a girl enjoying the rain." I said and looked over to Jungkook so he could continue.

"As y/n said, this picture shows two kids enjoying the rain. They're enjoying that moment. Not only them but everyone does. But from a child's point of view, it brings them a different joy. Same way, the rain brings happiness to farmers, so their crops grow. Some like the water coming down and some like the cold weather and sipping hot tea." He said.

And looked at me so I could continue.

"This picture also shows another thing. Childhood. The best time of everybody's life. The kids in this pic, are enjoying their time. Growing up you might not even have time to look out of that window. As a child, you could explore many things. You can do now also, I didn't say no. But we won't get the time for it cause we get more responsible growing. In conclusion, it shows about the freedom you had as a kid and the way rain makes us feel happy." I ended in my raspy voice.

"Nice job. It's almost time up. I'll end the class today. Thank you." Mr Kim said.

"Thank you sir." We sang and and headed out.

"Y/n, Jungkook. Can I talk to you?" Mr Kim called us.

We went with him.

"Y/n, you're not feeling well. Why did you come?" He asked.

"Oppa, I'm fine." I said and sneezed.

"You're sneezing and your nose is red. Jungkook, take her back home and take care of her. I'll talk to the principal about you both going half day and a two day holiday. Tae is also not there to take care. You both are coming back only when you get well." He said.

"But oppa..." he just walked.

"Told you not to come." Jungkook whispered near my ear.

"Wanna head home or somewhere else?" I sarcastically asked him.

"Home of course."

"Come home. You'll have it." I smiled at him and went to get my bag.

We left to home.
