The Two Worlds Collide

"You don't have to force yourself. I know your attention is now focused on your mother. Let me help this time." Alexander patted her hand and looked at the child in his arms. "After all, I'm little Koala's father now."

Yan Xiaoran looked at the child who snuggled into his embrace like how a spoiled child would act, or perhaps, like a little kitten. 

She was surprised that Alexander was really thinking of himself as Little Koala's daddy. Even though she adopted Qu Ying Zi as her daughter, it was too soon for them to become a parent. And she didn't want to force the title or duty of a father to him just because he was married to her.

When Alexander proposed to adopt the child, Yan Xiaoran was thinking that Alexander was forced to take on that decision because she didn't know what to do. 

But maybe she was thinking too much deeply into this?
