A Proposal

Ethan already knew what Alex was planning to do and was prepared to stay home and out of their way now that he was old enough to be alone for a few hours at a time. He was excited that they would be making things official as well and offered to cooperate any other way he might be needed.

He already had everything planned out but appreciated the kid's offer anyway. He was glad that everyone in his family seemed to be on board.

When he arrived home he ended up hiding the ring box with the Christmas decorations in the garage because there was no reason for Claire to look there this time of year. With that out of the way, he went inside with confidence. Now all he needed to do was wait until Saturday.

Alex's entire body was taut and ready for a fight the way it used to be back at the Agency in the days leading up the Saturday. He knew Claire loved him and would probably say yes but he was so nervous he thought he might explode.
