Chapter 40

After everything had went dark you started to get worried. ~Did he trick me? Am I just really dead now?~

But after a few minutes the darkness appeared different. Almost like your eyes were just closed. So you slowly opened your eyes to be temporarily blinded by the lights above you.

"Damn lights."

You sat up and seen you were in a bed but the more you looked you recognized it as the hotel you and Johnny had stayed in before you died.

"Guess he never left."

You got out of bed and looked around. There was nobody else in the room so you decided to walk around and try to find someone.

When you entered the hallway there was still no one to be seen.

"Hmm, Where is everyone?"

You opened the first door you seen and poked your head inside.

"Hello?"

You looked down to see a desk piled in papers but behind all the work there was someone passed out asleep. But the closer you looked you realized you recognized the person. It was Johnny.

"Johnny is that you?"

There was still no response so you walked over to his sleeping figure and patted his shoulder.

"Johnny wake up."

He began to stir around and mumble.

"Leave me alone Taeyong."

You chuckled to yourself, "Johnny, it's me Y/n."

He slowly opened his eyes, "Y/n?"

When his eyes adjusted to the light he gasped for a second, "Y/n, is that really you?"

You smiled down at him, "Of course it is."

He quickly stood out of his seat, "Y/n, it is you. Are you okay. I'm so sorry."

As he rambled on tears were beginning to form in his eyes, "Johnny no, don't cry please."

"But I'm so happy to see you."

"I'm happy to see you too."

Johnnys eyes went wide, "Doyoung told me you were in the underworld. What happened?! Are you okay?"

You nodded, "Yea I'm just glad to be back."

Johnny looked confused, "How exactly did you get back though?"

"The guardian of the two gates lead me to the underworld so I could make a deal with a demon to come back."

"A demon? You mean you successfully convinced a demon to bring you back?"

You nodded, "Yea it was actually surprisingly easy."

"Well... as long as you're okay. Then I am grateful. But who exactly was this demon? Do you remember their name?"

You shook your head, "He never told me."

"That's odd. Oh well, I want you to go back to your room and rest. I'm going to bring a doctor to make sure that your doing okay."

"That sounds great."

-10 minutes later-

-Johnnys POV-

After I explained everything to the doctor I lead him into Y/n's room.

I know she said she was fine but she just died and came back from the underworld. So naturally I just want to be safe.

After about half an hour of the doctor examining Y/n he stopped. "You're doing just fine Y/n."

She smiled, "Thank you."

The doctor then stood up and stepped back into the hallway. I soon followed him out. "What will be the bill for her exam?"

"... no charge."

"No charge? But I made you come all the way over here to check on her."

"It's alright. But I want to check on her again soon."

"Why? Didn't you say she was fine?"

The doctor nodded, "Yea... well it could just be an effect of her dying and coming back but... she has no heartbeat and her body is still at the same cold temperature she was when she was dead. I'm hoping she will come back to normal in a few days."

"...no heartbeat? Then how is she even alive?"

"You said she was brought back by a deal she made with a demon right?"

Johnny nodded, "Yea."

"Well I may be wrong but I'm afraid that she might have sold her soul."

"Why would she do that?"

"It's possible that she didn't know what she was doing."

"Well what going to happen to her?"

"Well... lets not think about that, okay."

Johnny nodded, "I understand."

After the doctor left Johnny stood in the hallway for a moment think about what they had just talked about.

"What the hell did he mean by lets not think about that, okay. What's going to happen to Y/n."
