Morrigan at Noon Part I

Morrigan didn't strike Jaybird as a melee fighter so he was a little surprised that she'd caught his blade between the fingers of her other hand like she was a master from a martial arts novel. 

However, it wasn't a total loss as Jaybird had proven to be quite the lucky boy. This had been his first attack since his unnamed evolution, but already his new ability [HEXBLADE] which had a low activation probability actually activated at that exact second. 

[ALERT! [HEXBLADE] HAS CURSED [Morrigan at Noon] WITH [WEAKNESS Lv.1]. PENALTIES TO ATTACK AND DEFENCE ARE NOW IN EFFECT. MOVEMENT SPEED IS ALSO LOWERED FOR THE DURATION OF THE CURSE'S ACTIVATION.] 

"Interesting," Morrigan stated. 

Then she unleashed a powerful aura from within, causing Jaybird and his raven to get blown back by its shockwave. 

[[Morrigan at Noon] HAS PASSED A PHYSICAL RESISTANCE CHECK. [WEAKNESS Lv.1] HAS BEEN FORCEFULLY CANCELED.]

"Holy pretzel, you're tough," he breathed.
