Ch.25 Sky, Shadow, and Darkness

I stepped slightly closer to Darbuse. As I walked he drew his sword and pointed it at me.

"We meet again, goddess." He said without hesitating.

It is true, I must be the goddess reborn. "What do you want with this place?!" I questioned him.

He swung his sword down and moved closer to me. "I want to reunite the realm of Shadows." He said monster like.

Anger grew over my body, "What do you mean?" I said in a bold tone.

"Have you lost all of your memories little goddess?" he said smirking.

The words little goddess rang over and over inside my head, and then it felt like someone took a knife to my left eye, I dropped the sword of Shadows and fell to the ground clenching my eye.

"Oh so you do remember our little incident back in the Snow realm?" He said cunningly, and knelt beside me.

I looked up at him, his eyes glowing red. Suddenly the pain in my eye went away.

"Your trying to manipulate me aren't you!" I said quickly.

The red glow faded from his eyes. The pain of a knife went back into my eye, it hurt worse this time. He stood up, I looked at him, he held out his hand and shot me with a peice of malice and I fell laying down on the ground.

"Myira!" I heard Anyira yell.

"Pathetic!" Darbuse said stepping over me moving closer to Anyira.

The malice burned my skin.

"Once I kill you I will have the whole tribe in my reign." Darbuse said.

I heard steps of what sounded like Anyira standing up.

"Then I shall die for my people proudly." Anyira said bravely.

I seen a flash of blue light and and Darbuse went flying and hit the ground a bounced back up on his feet sliding back slightly. Anyira stepped over me her fists clenched and glowing.

She turned and looked at me "Can you get out?" she said breathing heavily.

"I think so." I said not knowing what to do.

She truned her attention back to Darbuse who had stood back up. "I can by you a couple minutes but I am going to need your help." She said and bounded toward Darbuse again blocking his attacks.

I tried to move in the malice but it just kept getting tighter and tighter, I began to give up hope, maybe this was my fate. I closed my eyes remembering the dream I had, the woman with the glowing symbols. Then I realized where I had seen the symbol before, in the Snow realm. They were on the statue of the woman.

I began to focus on the symbol, I felt the malice recede from my skin the pain in my eye slip away, blue symbols were covering my body. I grabbed the sword of Shadows and stood up to help Anyira face Darbuse...
