Ch.16 Ancient stairs

I kept looking back and forth between the stone and Anyira. Finally I made the decision to touch it, I walked closer to it and held out my hands.

"Don't touch it." Anyira said looking up at me.

I looked at her then back at the stone, moved closer and touched it. I was waiting for a shock, but nothing happened. I looked back at Anyira her face in awe.

Then the stone truned blue, the same shade of blue I had seen in my dream, I tried to move my hands but hey were stuck.

"Anyira!!" I shouted.

She ran over to me. grabbed my hands and pulled as hard as she could. From the moment she grabbed my hands everything went blue. I felt myself slipping from the realm, then everything went dark. I could feel that we were being lifted, I seen a blinding light grow closer, then we plummeted into snow.

I looked up to see that everthing was covered in snow, Anyira was looking around as well. I stood up and helped her up.

"What is this place?" I asked confused.

"I don't know." she replied.

As I looked around I noticed there was a statue of a beautiful woman, she had wings and was holding a sword toward the sky, I walked over to it. Anyira followed. As I looked at the bottom of the statue there were hand prints and words in scripted in the statue.

The words read "ANCIENT SKY DWELLER AND BLOOD OF THE GODDESS TAKE SWORD IN HAND AND DESTROY THE CHAOS."

I looked at Anyira,

"What do you think we should do?"

"I don't know, maybe this is where the ancient sword is hidden." She replied while scanning the statue.

I took my right hand and placed it into the right hand mark.

"Maybe we have to do this."

I said to Anyira. She looked at my hand and placed her hand in the left hand spot. We heard something click and we began to see purple and blue light come from the hand prints.

Then the statue began to move backward, we removed our hands, it revealed a staircase. I looked at Anyira, she looked back at me. I began down the staircase wondering what we would find...
