Chapter 97: The Ancient Dragon Clan (Part 1)

Around 500 people stood in front of a platform in rows. They all excluded a very dense aura and appeared to be fierce fighters. If anyone from Martial Spirit World had seen this line up, they would have fainted from shock as all the 500 people standing in rows were Saint Realm cultivators. There were less than 100 Saint realm cultivators in Martial Spirit World right now.

The icing on the cake was that all these fellows were powerful magus. Now, if so many powerful beings were gathered together, it is generally seen that there would be a clash of egos but right now, everyone was standing stiller than millennium old statue and silently watching the person standing on the platform. That person had no aura of cultivation but the aura of might and dominance coming from him was more than the combined aura of the saints. This person was Alexander Fortis, The King of Fortis Empire.

Alexander watched the Saint Realm cultivators of his kingdom. Alexander after a few minutes of observation spoke up, " You all passed the test of patience." Alexander could see the confusion on their faces. Alexander spoke, " I wanted to see if you lot are patient or not. The place where we will be going is a place full of danger. There are many creatures there, who can kill you in a second. Your one mistake can endanger the life of your entire team. Be always on guard. The scientists have prepared special biohazard suits for us which will protect us from poisonous mists permitting the forest. The place where we are going is very important for our kingdom. The benefits we would get from this place cannot be measured. We will be leaving in 5 minutes."

Alexander stepped down from the platform and entered a tent raised few metres behind the platform. A weird machine was kept there. The machine had a single large boxing glove fitted at the top of big and thick springs. The setup was attached to a vertical metal platform, It was the weaponized form of spring boxing glove capable of excluding the force of a god realm cultivator which was 1,000 pounds for the weakest god realm cultivator. Alexander needed this to open the passage to The Ancient Dragon Clan Ruins.

In the novel, only Peak Tenth order Saint Realm cultivators were able to open the passage. Alexander didn't have such a cultivator under him so he told his problem to the science department. The glove was a prank item made for the purpose of entertainment. It was not even developed by scientists but a quirky fellow who wanted to make a mega springing glove. Why he had such a thought, no one wanted to know except the mad scientists.

Alexander spoke out, " Tobby!! We are leaving in 5 minutes." After 5 minutes, Tobby and five elves shifted in the room with small backpacks. Tobby reduced the size of the machine and put it in his backpack. Alexander asked, " Is everything is prepared?" Tobby stepped forward and said, " Yes, master!!"

Alexander nodded and said, " We are leaving." Alexander arrived back on the platform to see all the people wearing black hazmat suits. These suits were lined with formations used in inns to keep out the air from their food storage. The scientists had tweaked the formation to keep out the poisonous mists instead. It was true that majority of knowledge was lost in the desolate era but the basic knowledge was not lost.

The cultivators in the 30 Million years since the end of the great war with the greatest dark path cultivator could have regained their lost knowledge by working hard or could have developed themselves in a different direction or could have advanced beyond their predecessors by inventing new techniques or ways but it didn't happen as the cultivators are a selfish bunch who cared only for their benefit. Any ancient knowledge found was zealously hoarded and guarded from everyone whether it benefitted them or not.

Alexander had many motives behind going to the Ancient Dragon Clan Ruins. Alexander always got frustrated over Huang Xiaolong and the other cultivators who had entered the ruins and got blinded by tangible benefits and ran around looting the city of it's immense valuables but forgot about the most important thing after the dragon pearl, which was the Dragon Clan's knowledge and techniques.

The Ancient Dragon City was the place where the elite dragons lived so it was a fact that the treasures would be concentrated there but where did the other dragons of the clan lived? Where did the young dragons trained? Where was the clan library of dragons? Where were the various herb gardens of the clan? Where was the treasury of the clan?The city only had palaces and mansions to house the elites but was devoid of any other structure. Alexander was astonished that none of the cultivators who entered the ruins never thought about these things and simply looted the city and left. They never fully investigated the ruins.

Alexander thought, " I am truly excited to uncover the secrets of The Ancient Dragon Clan." Alexander and the elves doned the hazmat suits and all the people shifted away simultaneously and reappeared in front of the realm gate. Alexander stepped forward and entered the cultivation world followed by the elves and the saints. Alexander reappeared in the cave which was now increased in size by hollowing out the hill. There were 300 Saint realm cultivators standing guard in front of the realm gate. The whole cave was covered with concealment wards. Magic was not suppressed in this world as it was also a form of energy and the elves of the Ten Directions Continent practised magic. Alexander wanted to meet them after he had completed his current task.

Alexander entered a simple starship which was the best shealth ship they had. The best 20 Saint Realm Cultivators also entered the ship to act as his guards while the rest of the saints took to the sky. All of this was done after confirming that there was no one around them for 500 kilometers. The ship also moved and was at the forefront of the expedition party.

It took them 2 months to arrive high above the origin forest where the mists didn't reach. The reason Alexander had made the cultivators under him, wear the hazmat suits early on so that they could get used to it and would be able to effectively fight in it. Alexander send four recon droids to search for the ravine where the ruins were located. The droids were the best shealth droids that Alexander's scientists had developed till now. They were employed because Alexander didn't want to alert the various beasts living in the forest of their presence. It took the droids one week to find the correct ravine as it was not the only ravine in the forest. Alexander carefully watched the images forwarded by the droids and confirmed the correct one.

The ship and the cultivators moved right above the ravine and confirmed if there was anyone was near them or not. When all was clear, they speedily moved in teams into the mists and the deadly forest. They just kept going down and didn't take any detours. The hazmat suits worked like a charm and the first team to reach the bottom of the ravine, set up various wards with quick efficiency. Alexander's starship also arrived at the bottom of the ravine after half of the saints had made the move.

Alexander stepped out of the starship and said while pointing at the space above the tiny stream flowing through the ravine, " This is the place where the punch is to be struck. Calibrate the machine to strike this place. Wait till all the people arrive after which we would start." It took another half an hour to all the cultivators to gather at the ravine. Alexander said, " Start!!"

The machine struck and a blackhole opened above the stream. His bloodline started clamoring to absorb the mosrels of dragon qi that got leaked out. Alexander has complete control over his bloodline so he didn't act like a fool. Alexander and the elves were the first to enter the blackhole. When Alexander arrived at the other side, he saw the vast plains and the huge mountains with dense forests at the back and at the centre of this landscape was majestic and very big city which was giving off extraordinary amount of dragon qi. The spiritual energy was also very high in this place. The city contained many big palaces and other strange structures but one thing was common, the city literally screamed treasures.

Alexander could now understand why the various cultivators were so blinded by greed. The aura of the city itself tempted the people to explore it. Alexander was brought out of his musings as more and more of his men started arriving in the plans. The last team to arrive also brought the shrunken starship and glove machine with them as it was their only ticket back home.

Alexander turned to face his men and said, " No one would try to enter the city as the city has only one entrance and it is protected by an undead bone dragon which is at least a Early First Order God Realm cultivator. No one present here has the power and capability to overcome the guardian. But, all is not lost, the concentration of spiritual energy is quite high here. Cultivate here, this will bring quite a benefits to you."

Alexander turned to Tobby and said, " Begin the preparation, it's time for my advancement."
