Chapter 31: Advancement and Muggleborns

Alexander sat in meditation and started to condense his magic further. After a few hours, Alexander was sweating buckets at the effort it was taking to condense his magic into solid form. It took him two days to condense his magic to liquid state but it seems that it will take much longer this time. Alexander was not planning use any potions to help his advancement as he was using this to train his willpower. Alexander struggled for many days but was not able to condense his magic to solid stage. Alexander was tired both mentally and physically so he decided to go for a stroll in the non magical world.

Alexander was enjoying the sights and music of the city of London. As Alexander was moving through the suburbs, he came across a little child trying to move a block of ice to his home while his father was standing behind him, simply watching. Alexander, for a moment, felt a stab of pain in his heart but he just ignored it as he knew that his parents loved and cared for him. He had read their wills and their message to him in case of their death. Alexander's parents were not very rich but they had sufficient savings saved up. They had died due to collasping of the building in which their family was living, due to earthquake. The rescue workers had found his parents' bodies shielding him from the debris, they had died protecting him.

Alexander was curious at the scene going on in front of him so he didn't move. The father was fully capable of moving the ice block but he was not helping his kid. When the kid finally gave up and started crying, his father came up to him.

The father knelt down and looked at the kid in eyes and said, " Ted, you should not be sad. "

The kid wailed and said, " But, Daddy!!! I failed. Now, I will not get the icecream."

Alexander smiled and thought, " I was thinking that the kid was crying because he had failed but this kid is crying because of not getting icecream."

The father continued, " Your mom didn't see you failing so she will not know that I had helped you. We will keep this our secret."

Ted cheered and said, " You will help me in carrying this ice inside the house."

The father ruffled the hair of his kid and said, " No, I will not carry it for you but I will show you the way to carry it back yourself."

Ted fell in thought and then said, " Okay!!!"

The father continued, " Ted, listen carefully. You cannot take the whole block away but you can cut it into small pieces and then take it away. Remember Ted, if you cannot solve a problem in one go then solve it in parts. Do you understand, Ted?"

Ted scrunched his face in confusion but nodded anyway.

The father smiled ruefully and said, " Looks like you are too young to give life lessons to."

Ted cried, " No!!! I am a big boy now. I understood what you told me."

The father asked smiling, " What did you understand?"

Ted, " I have to cut the ice in small pieces and the last part you said I was not able to fully understand that but I will one day."

The father continued, " Sure you will, Ted."

Alexander didn't linger around anymore and after going to a deserted place, shifted back to his mansion. Alexander had gained an inspiration from the words of the father. Alexander thought, " In cultivation worlds, it is common for cultivators to gain inspiration from common folk but I didn't expect this to happen to me in a magical world. But I will surely reward that family after I conquer this world."

Alexander once again sat in meditation but this time he didn't try to condense his whole core into solid in one go but tried to condense small parts of the core into solid. The resistance he faced this time was not that great so he was easily able to condense the parts of the core into solid. Alexander sensed his core and it looked like small solid pieces floating in liquid. Alexander then tried to fuse two solid pieces together but he faced greater resistance than condensing the magic. After few hours, Alexander was able to finally fuse all the solid pieces together. Alexander once again examined his core and found that he was able to convert only 5 percent of his core into solid.

Alexander let out a sigh and continued the process of condensing and fusing. It took Alexander 10 days to completely condense his core to solid state. Alexander had to once again practice his control because his magic potency had increased once again. The amount of magical power in his core had decreased to 2,000 MP but it's potency was many times greater than the liquid stage. Alexander theorised that it would take him a month to reach the peak of solid state. Alexander also continued his straining exercise but he was not expecting a massive increase in magic by doing the exercise. The only way to increase his magical power was now to advance the percentage of his bloodline. Last time, he advanced to 25 percent, his magical power had tripled. Alexander hoped that this will continue to happen as he passes each benchmark.

The werewolves had been training relentlessly for their task and Carter had assured Alexander that they will be ready at the end of the month. Alexander now shifted his attention to the other downtrodden magicals. Alexander had the elves observe the current situation of the first generation magi. The wizarding world war had been more destructive for the wizards and witches whose had magic in their families for generations, the first generation Magi had fled to the muggle world to escape the wizarding world war. When the forces of Grindlewald struck, they sticked to the areas populated by the magicals while their non magical counterparts struck their world. The majority of the first generation magi were able to remain relatively unaffected as compared to the generational wizards or witches, a term coined by the spies of Alexander to denote the families who had magic for generations. Alexander also liked this term as it served to remove the misguided feeling of superiority that the magi tend to have for their first generation counterparts.

When the war was over and the first gens returned to the wizarding world, they were prosecuted by the rest for running away from the war, not realising that they would have done the same, if they had the means to do so. Majority of the muggleborns were now forced to work on even lower salaries and some of them lost their jobs too. Alexander planned to target this prosecuted magi. Alexander had his analysts observe the current situation of the muggleborns and had them prepare a employment contract which would both compelling and believable in the present scenerio. Alexander then had the elves track down every muggleborn in Britain. The contract had a single line written under a powerful illusion casted by Alexander. The clause stated that all the above points are void and by signing this contract you are submitting to King Alexander as his subject.

The contract also stated that by only signing this contract will you be eligible for the interview. Alexander had placed a subtle compeltion charm on the contract which subtly compelled the reader to sign it. Alexander was going to have his elves deliver the letter and also stand guard to make sure that no overly cautionous fellow tries to cast any revealing charm on the letter. Alexander had at first only 500 letters prepared. Alexander, in a few hours, felt almost all the targeted magi became his subjects. The elves reported that the majority of the magi signed after reading the contract for the first time. It showed the desperation that the first gen Magi were in. Those who didn't sign it were either too tired to notice the letter or were discussing it with their families.

Alexander ordered the elves to send 5,000 contracts daily. Britain had 110,000 magicals out of which 70,000 were muggleborns. The amount of magicals shown in Harry Potter series gave an idea to Alexander about the amount of murders of muggleborns committed by Riddle and his men. Within a span of 3 weeks, Alexander had gained the allegiance of almost all the muggleborns. Now, Alexander was going to slowly integrate half-bloods and disdained purebloods like weasleys to his followers. But, mainly Alexander would focus on the magicals residing in the other countries. Alexander also ordered the muggleborns to slowly resign from their jobs and also convince their families to submit to him but don't be aggressive in doing so.

The werewolves were now trained enough to be send as envoys across Europe. Alexander was also nearing the peak of solid stage and soon he will advance to the crystal stage. Alexander had decided to once again peer into the past after he reaches the crystal stage as there were some things that he wanted to know.
