Chapter 20: Arrival

In a dark alley, a giant golden mirror appeared and from that mirror, a young man stepped out. Alexander was surprised to find himself in a dark alley but did not pay much attention to it. Alexander thought, " It's still better than appearing in middle of a road in day time." Alexander was truly excited to explore this world. The amount of fictions written on this world was mind blowing. Alexander had arrived in the Harry Potter world as the magic here was most versatile and very useful.

When Alexander was searching for a suitable world, he had come across the Harry Potter multiverse, the sheer amount of universes in this multiverse had left Alexander stunned. Alexander had to filter through countless versions of this universe to find the most suitable one. This world was a star level- 7 world. There were more powerful versions of this world but those were the worlds where a native wizard had achieved godhood and ascended or some magic god was overseeing it. But Alexander choose this world because of the amount of knowledge present in this world. This world had the most knowledge about magic but nobody had ascended here for a long time due to the fact that the one who had first ascended destroyed all knowledge about it and got himself killed by another more powerful mage god. The other worlds specialized in one kind of magic as based on the the specialization of the deity overseeing it.

Alexander made his way out of the dark alley and thought, " I would have plenty of time to think about the past. But first I have to investigate where I have ended up." Alexander found that he was in a small village near London. Alexander was glad that the portal didn't transfer him to some other country as Alexander knew that he would not be able to do anything in foreign countries as J.K. Rowling never wrote anything about them except the famous eight schools of the world. Alexander did not know how much different this world was. Alexander ran in the direction of London. As Alexander was running at the speed of a car, Alexander thought back to the surprise he got after he had started training with his soldiers, Alexander knew that the dragon emperor had the bloodline of dragon but after his ability of adapting had awakened, he had thought that since the body of dragon emperor had the bloodline, he didn't get it. He was wrong, the bloodline of dragon had been in his body but it was dormant, Alexander awakened his bloodline when he was training under extreme conditions. The awakening of his bloodline, increased his bodily factor by two. Alexander was very happy about it.

Alexander also wanted to go to the real magically advanced places of this world. He had seen through the realm gate that the east was more advanced than the west. But Alexander did not continue his probing as there were several fellows in the east who had sensed his probing. Alexander had stopped his scouting then. Alexander stopped at the outskirts of London and took a bus to the Charing Cross Road. He arrived before the Leaky Cauldron but did not enter the pub. It was the June 25 of the year 1958. Alexander did not know what would happen when he would try to copy the ability to use magic from someone. Will they sense the use of copying ability? Will he face any resistance? In books, Tom was shown to have present to greet his customers at any time. Alexander suspected the use of some kind of ward which enabled Tom to know if someone was coming from the muggle side. Alexander did not know what kind of security measures this place had. Alexander did not believe that the only place from where muggle world could be assessed would have lousy defences. But if it did have lousy defences then Alexander would suspect the sanity of the wizards.

Alexander entered the pub late at night. As expected Tom was behind the counter. Alexander approached him while going over the lessons he had received from his spies. Alexander making a hesitant face, came near Tom, " Are you Mr. Tom?"

Tom looked towards him with a curious face and said, " Yes, I am Tom. What can do for you."

Alexander said in relieved tone, " Oh!! Thank God. I thought that I had got the wrong person. I want to ask for your help."

Tom said, " What kind of help do you want?"

Alexander said in hesitant tone, " I am a squib." Then, he looked towards Tom to see his reaction. In the various fanfictions, Tom was depicted as a kind person but reality is different. Who can tell what is hiding beneath the surface?

Tom noticing his actions smiled a kind smile, " It does not matter to me."

Alexander let out a sigh of relief and said, " I don't know much about the magical world but my previous family discussed about the Leaky Cauldron and I knew the way from the muggle world." Alexander then let out a happy smile and continued, " You see, my daughter did accidental magic today. I am so happy!!! I want to give her everything I did not get myself so I was planning to buy books about the magical world to gift her. Will you please help me by opening the entrance to the Diagon Alley? "

Tom let out a kind smile and said, " I am truly happy for you. I still fondly remember when my children did their first magic. I will be happy to help you."

Alexander smiled and said, " You have my gratitude. Oh!! I forgot my manners. My name is Alexander Fortis. If you need anything from the muggle world, please send a owl to me." Then, Alexander brought his hand forward to shake Tom's hand.

Tom let out a loud laugh and shook hands with Alexander and said, " My name is Tom but you already know that. I will surely send a owl to you. But you should not go at this time to the Diagon Alley. It's not safe."

While Tom was shaking hands with Alexander , Alexander had used the copy ability to copy the ability to use magic from Tom. Alexander inwardly let out a sigh of relief when nothing unexpected happened. Alexander was curious about the warning of Tom. According to his memory, Tom Riddle's terrorist activities and guariella war against the British Ministry of Magic would start after 10 years. Tom was maybe not even in Britain right now. Alexander asked, " Why?"

Tom said in serious tone, " During this time, the dark races come out of their barrows and roam the alley. Vampires, ghouls, hags, etc. visit Gringots to conduct their businesses. Almost all the businesses are closed at this time. Only those who have sufficient security measures or are desperate for money, conduct business at this time. Even normal wizards don't venture out at this time. I don't want anything to happen to you."

Alexander replied, " I will then come one week later in the morning." Alexander then left the Leaky Cauldron and moved through the streets of London looking for a place to stay. Alexander found an abandoned warehouse and set up shop there. Alexander had not brought any money with him as he did not know where he would end up. Alexander then meditated to know the state of his newly gained magic. Alexander saw that his magic was in the beginning stage. Alexander sensed that his body was rapidly adapting to the magic gained by him. A wizard without exercising for life had longer lifespans and fitter bodies than the normal people. It was the magic in their bodies that gave them this. The stronger the wizard or witch is, the longer they live and remain healthy and fit. Alexander's body was becoming more stronger than before. Alexander knew that he would grow in power, it was a perk of the king's bloodline but how fast he will grow, it all depended on his own efforts.

Alexander then expelled out all the magic he had in his body and then he filled his body again with magic. Normal wizards could not do this but due to Alexander's ability ' Divine Adaptibility ' that he could do so. Every time he did this his body and magical core would suffer strain. Alexander did this to increase his already massive magic capacity but he couldn't do so infinitely, there was a limit on how much his magical core could withstand this treatment. This world's law had set down the magic each stage of magical core can contain. There was a way to overcome this limit by use of rituals.

All the ancient wizards used rituals to grant themselves many advantages. Alexander also planned to do so. Alexander only knew this much because he had observed countless versions of this universe. The time flow between universes was different. So, Alexander had watched the development of magic from beginning to this time period. Alexander also planned to use his second ability ' Viewer of the Past ' to know more about this world.
