"Theia get up, its been a week, you have to go to the ceremony NOW! You better put something decent on!"
I ran around, and threw all my clothes out onto the floor. I picked out a beige shirt and pants that looked the least ruined and dirty, put them on, and ran outside.
I looked to see if anyone was nearby, but I didn't so I took the main road today. I usually take the back road to avoid people like Cerberus who like bullying me. I ran as fast as I could until I made it to a big hill.
At the top of the hill I saw a large church with six distinct stained windows, each representing the most common bloodlines. These bloodlines are the mouse, monkey, squirrel, pig, rooster, and cat. If someone awakened one of these they pretty much signed up for failure. Anything else besides these bloodlines were all at least blessed rank.
I walked through the gates, and then through the doors of the large church. I sat in the very back and saw probably hundreds of nobles ahead of me. Even though the ceremony takes place on your 14th birthday, all these nobles were here since with higher ranking bloodlines like wolves they are born in packs so there are many of them at once.
I waited around hearing all of the peoples names called, then after around 8 hours of waiting my name was finally called. I walked over to the priest and he handed me a vial with a clear liquid that looked and felt a lot like water.
Though I knew it must be valuable I was still skeptical because it did just look like plain, ordinary water. The priest looked at me, obviously fed up with a look of pure irritation on his face, so I opened the vial and drank it.
A warm rush flowed through my skin and bones, and I could feel it as it passed through me. From my eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and all of my wounds I started to bleed. Blood poured out from everywhere and coated over my skin.
As time passed the blood started to look silver, and then I got cold. All my hairs stood on end, and ice formed over my wounds. The ice turned silver, then fell off, and I saw all of my scars and wounds gone.
I looked around and saw everyone looking at me, obviously this was a strange reaction to the awakening formula. I looked at the priest and saw that he got shorter, or did I get taller? I had no way of knowing.
"Theia what's your status?" The priest said in utter shock, obviously wondering what exactly happened to me.
"How do I find that out?" I asked very confused of what he meant
"Touch your emblem and say status."
I walked over to a mirror, the closest one was at the churches entrance, and started to look for my emblem, but when I saw myself I was shocked. My short pitch black hair turned into a silver or platinum color that reached my waist. My skin went from snow white that could make girls jealous to a gold tinted tan. My ears grew longer and had a point at their tip. I also grew much taller, to what I estimate being around 190 centimeters. My muscles also grew out, and I had a lean muscle over my entire body, looking like a completely different person. My clothes had also ripped, but because they were baggy before they didn't expose anything I wanted to keep hidden. Either way I was still looking for my emblem, and then I finally saw it. Right above my left chest, a silver scythe had appeared. It was glowing, and didn't show any sign of dulling down, so I naturally assumed this must be it. I did what the priest said, put my hand on it and said "Status."
"Scanning status. Scanning complete, welcome user Theia, no last name found, last name generating... ... ... Numbers has not been used yet. Welcome user Theia Numbers, simplified status will be shown momentarily."
A few seconds later a blinding light flashed before my eyes, and black letters appeared. Throughout the course of a minute they began to start forming words, and I could finally see my status.

I walked over to the priest and told him my results, and he ushered me into the back with ten noble kids. We sat around in silence, as no one wanted to talk after my awakening. After about another hour of waiting the priest came back, and we were lead further into the church, and given our own rooms.
I entered my room which was small, but still better than what the orphanage had. It had two books on a bed, and a small desk and dresser next to it. I explored the room, and saw nothing unusual so I decided to sit down and think.
The Sub Bloodlines I had were awfully similar to Ford and Thirteen from what I knew. Ford was a legendary Hassin assassin, and had many abilities from his bloodline in dagger wielding and stealth. Thirteen was a Sword Magus High Elf, that used spacial magic to curve her blades right into the enemy and teleport to get into the best position for using a sword. Having these two Transcendent Sub Bloodlines only made me wonder what the Unknown could be.
I looked at the books on the bed, and decided to skim through them. The books were titled "Acquiring Bloodlines," and "Bloodline Fusion."
I read until morning, and got many insights on how Bloodlines work. For one, everyone had every bloodline, and so can awaken every bloodline, its just some are easier to awaken than others, hence the awakening ceremony. On top of that someone can have up to 10 active sub bloodlines, and the rest are dormant. This means that you could theoretically modify yourself into being perfect by your standards, and become a Developed tailored to your will, and not by fate and luck. The only issue is awakening dormant bloodlines is hard, and different for everyone, and so the only one able to do this was the First Sage who got extremely lucky in dire times.
In addition to more bloodlines, you can create them too. These bloodlines would be unique to you, and are made when you combine two or more sub bloodlines in a perfect combination, so this has yet to be done yet by anyone.
I took a short nap to rest, before I would be eventually called by the priest, and was greeted by the two golden figures again. This time they didn't say anything, and just let me observe the space.
I saw my hands, feet and body were all transparent, but had hundreds of millions of silver dots within it, but just two gold ones that had red threads so thin you barely see them, linking to the figures.
I touched the golden dots, and tied the red strings together out of curiosity, Nothing happened for a while, but then a golden light shone in front of my eyes, and I woke up once again in a cold sweat.
I'm going to start making the chapters longer, tell me if you liked them before where they were short, or longer like this one. :)
