EPISODE 70: A Full Thunder Bounty

Darkness reigns over a small unknown island. An island far away from my region, and an island filled with filth and wrath. On that island made out of stone, lies a kingdom with seven towers. They worship and submit their prideful king, a king without hope nor belief in wishes.

Their king had a cape filled with the blood of the people he killed. He walks with arrogance through the halls of his kingdom. A man of bad influence, power, and wrath... A perfect description of Arville the fallen king.

Now Arville the fallen king, is indeed unpredictable. He bears a scar as fear controlled him.

"Your Majesty! Detective Looker has been captured!" Zylon reported through the big screen while showing the unconscious body of detective Looker.

"Very well then, bring the detective to me and call back all units to headquarters!" Arville ordered.

"Yes... Your majesty, your bidding shall be done!" Zylon uttered as he knelt down to the fallen king.

The guards around the palace dragged Detective Looker to the fallen king, they didn't care if detective Looker died or lived. What's important to them is that their Majesty's command or wish has been fulfilled.

They knocked on the door and entered their Majesty's room. Detective Looker was slapped in the face to bring his consciousness back. Arville was posing at the corner of his room as a man with red hair painted the king's portrait. Another old man, played a piano with a thrilling melody as thunders clashed through the island.

"Good evening detective!" Arville greeted with a horrendous tone.

"Wh... What do you want? I'll give anything, just don't hurt my fellow citizens." Detective Looker uttered weakly.

"Don't worry detective, I won't kill you. I brought you here for a reason. I believe that everybody has a purpose... right detective?"

"You may be a man of influence but I won't submit to your will!"

"Oh I don't want to own you! All I want to do is to use you temporarily!"

"Temporarily? What do you mean?" Detective Looker queried in confusion.

"You'll see.. but for now? Have a little rest."

Meanwhile at the Pokemon Police Department, officer Jenny was in charge of all operations for the meantime! Something weird happened last night, me and my friends were unable to witness it because we fell asleep early.

"Officer Jenny! Someone is bypassing all radio/tv stations across the region!" A private uttered with panic.

"Try rebooting the system!" Officer Jenny as she started to worry.

"Officer! We can't reboot the system, someone is controlling us!" The private warned as he did all that he could but failed.

"What the!? Check out whose bypassing the radio and tv systems!" Officer Jenny ordered as she rushed towards the control system.

"We can't officer! Their VPN is glitching for some reason. A while ago they were in the Kanto region but their VPN suddenly changed into the coordinates found in the Johto region!"

Officer Jenny tried to access the radio and tv system but failed. Someone hacked the system but for what cause.

"Officer! We have an incoming message." Another private warned as the large monitoring screen turned on all of a sudden.

The screen turned color red, there were no videos nor images shown as a strange voice spoke from the screen.

"Good evening Pokemon Police Department!" Arville's voice uttered towards the screen.

"It can't be! It's the fallen king." Another private worried.

"Officer, they bypassed all the systems throughout the region but for some reason, the video is only being showed here in this facility." Another private uttered in confusion.

"That's how mesmerizing team Chaos can be." Officer Jenny uttered as the whole Department listened to the fallen king's voice.

"Tonight! You shall witness the death of your own leader, detective Looker!" Arville's voice deadpanned as a silhouette of detective Looker appeared.

"... When the timer ends, his head shall be cut off! But... if you approve my bargain then I shall let the detective live! Speak through the microphone in front of you to confirm or neglect my bargain."

"What kind of bargain?" Officer Jenny queried through the microphone which is connected to the island.

"In order for your measly detective to live, you must bring the child you see on the screen to the Norva docks before sunrise!"

Officer Jenny looked at the picture of the child on the screen, the child looks familiar to her somehow.

"No! Anything but not the child!"

"Do you prefer the child over the detective? I own that child!" Arville's voice badgered.

"You may own her, but you know deep inside your heart that she hates you! We won't give the child, do whatever you want to the detective... we disagree with your bargain!"

That's it! I'm coming for you, Pokemon Police Department!" Arville uttered with frustration and quickly closed the screen.

"Bring detective Looker to the dungeon! The plan failed... They knew that we weren't going to kill the detective, gather all units to headquarters and initiate plan B!" Arville ordered his men.

Detective Looker was thrown into their dungeon never to be seen for now. During that night, all the grunts left the region and went back to headquarters. You may be confused with their plans, but soon... we'll know what team Chaos is really up to!

"The public must not know about what happened here! Prepare the Pokemon Army Squad and the Pokemon Defence System! Keep a close eye on any future grunt sightings" Officer Jenny commanded and left the room.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

"Goodmorning citizens of this region! We are happy to announce that the region is now safe! The Chaos grunts suddenly left the region last evening, no one knows why or for what cost, but still we urge you to be aware!" The radio played on the camp we were resting on.

"Well what do you know? These grunts gave up like last time!" Glade uttered while listening to the radio.

"Let them do what they want to do! Come on... Let's head to the Silvent Desert!" I stood up and uttered with encouragement.

We fixed our stuff and made sure that we didn't forget anything. This time, I organized my stuff and kept my things clean, just like what Minccino thought me to do!

The time was right to move on to the great Silvent Desert! We could already see the toll in front of us, it was huge! Larger than the tolls we passed through in the previous routes.

The toll doesn't only have a counter but also has a Pokemon battlefield wherein we could train our Pokemons! The problem is, in order to surpass the checkpoint counter, we need a so-called Go-Go Goggles for out travel through the desert.

"Each Go Go Goggles cause 1 Million Prize Money!" The cashier lady smiled.

"1 Million!? Isn't that too much?" Camellia complained.

"Nope it isn't" The lady answered with a simple reply.

"So you're saying only rich trainers can pass through!? Where's the justice is that!?" Zhery complained.

"Um sorry, but I'm not the one who implements the law! But, there is also another way to earn a Go-Go Goggles for free!" The lady explained.

"What kind of way? We're eager to now!" I exclaimed.

"You have to defeat me first!" A trainer interrupted from the back. He was sitting on a chair with his legs crossed. He has a stylish hair and has clothes belonging to the rich.

"Umm, excuse me... but who are you?" Glade wondered.

"The name's Alby, and I'm the owner of the toll!" The trainer introduced.

"Overpricing is wrong! There's no justice in that." Camellia complained with frustration.

"I know, that's why I started a challenge for the poor fellas like you four!" Alby boasted.

"What kind of challenge!?" I queried with frustration.

"In order for you to have the Go-Go Goggles for free, one of you must defeat me on a one on one Pokemon battle!"

"Alright then! I challenge you." I volunteered to battle. I figured that this would be the best opportunity for Treecko to experience what battling is all about

"You must defeat me and my dazzling Pokemon!" Alby explained and boasted towards me.

"Fine by me! But don't cry when you lose" I uttered with determination.

"We may not be rich, but we are strong trainers!" Zhery warned.

We proceeded to the battleground at the edge of the toll, I must battle Alby in order to get the Go-Go Goggles for free for the four of us! It was time to teach him, that overpricing is wrong!

"This will be a one on one Pokemon battle! The match ends when either trainer has no more Pokemons to battle with." The butler announced.

"Heh heh! Come on out Manetric!" Alby sent out his Pokemon which looks like an electric wolf with a blue body and a yellow mane. I scanned the Pokemon using my Pokedex and this is what the Pokedex has to offer:

[Magnetric! The discharge Pokemon! An electric type! Because lightning falls in their vicinities, MANECTRIC were thought to have been born from lightning. In battle, they create thunderclouds.]

"Alright then! Treecko, I choose you!" I sent out Treecko, so that it could train and become stronger. Treecko's determination was amazing as it glared at Manectric.

"Alright! Battle Begin!"

Treecko[300]

Manetric[500]

"Manetric! Use thunderbolt!"

"Treecko, dodge then use quick attack!"

*Treecko was able to dodge and used quick attack on Manectric!*

Treecko[300]

Manetric[430]

"That's it, Manetric use Volt Tackle!"

"Treecko dodge then use Razor Leaf!"

*Manectric's attack missed! Razor leaf was a critical and super effective move against Manectric since Electric types are weak to grass.*

Treecko[300]

Manetric[340]

"Manetric use thunderbolt!"

"Treecko dodge it quick!"

*Treecko was unable to dodge!*

Treecko[240]

Manetric[340]

"It's amazing how Treecko and Kalem are close to each other, their bond must've strengthen during the day Kalem rescued it!" Glade observed.

"Treecko! You can do this! Use Razor leaf, once more!" I complimented and order.

<Treecko!> The Pokemon screamed with determination.

"Manectric! Use Volt Tackle once more!"

*Manetric's attack missed! Razor Leaf was super effective!*

Treecko[240]

Manetric[250]

"Amazing, Treecko is Kalem's fastest Pokemon so far!" Zhery observed.

"Keep up the pace Treecko and use quick attack one more time!"

"Manetric dodge Treecko!"

*Manetric was unable to dodge again!*

Treecko[240]

Manetric[150]

"Manetric, use volt tackle!"

*Treecko was unable to respond quickly!*

Treecko [200]

Manetric[140] (Recoil)

"Alright Treecko! You got this!" I encouraged Treecko as his determination to defeat Manetric rose beyond his limits. He glared at Manetric, what a brave Pokemon Treecko is!

"Manetric! Use Thunder Bolt!"

"Treecko! Use Razor Leaf again!"

*Thunderbolt missed! Treecko was able to unleash his move as a bunch of leaves targeted Manetric.*

Treecko[200]

Manetric[100]

"Manetric! Use Crunch let's go!"

"Treecko! Watch out for that crunch!" I warned.

"Treecko was unable to dodge! Critical hit!"

Treecko[100]

Manetric[100]

Treecko swept away his sweat, and stood up once more.

<Treeck! Treecko! Treeck!> The Pokemon taunted.

"Looks like Treecko doesn't care about the foe's size, whatever Kalem asks him to do, he does it!" Camellia observed.

"Treecko! Use Razor Leaf again!"

"Counter with Zen Headbutt!"

*The moves collided! But Razor Leaf was super effective!*

The two Pokemons panted and gasped for air as they waited to see which one would faint first.

"Treecko! Keep it still, don't fall down!" I encouraged.

"Manetric! Inhale and Exhale, don't let treecko intimidate you!"

Seconds later, Manetric fell to the ground and fainted.

"Manetric is unable to battle! The winner is the challenger Kalem and his Pokemon Treecko!" The Butler announced.

Treecko jumped to my arms and hugged me tight! He looked at me with a big smile.

"Good work Treecko! You deserve a present later." I complimented.

"Well, I guess I lost fair and square, you deserve to have the Go-Go Goggles!" Alby smiled and uttered as he walked closer to me and shook my hands.

"Thanks Alby! You and Manetric battled well!" I showed my sportsmanship! Win or lose, sportsmanship is important.

"Alright! Here are your Go-Go Goggles, just tap on the red button on the upper left the goggles to open the Desert View Option!" Alby instructed.

"Alright! Next up, it's off to the Silvent desert! But first thing's first... I promised a present to Treecko!" I recalled as I knelt and opened my bag.

What could be Treecko's present? What adventures lie ahead in the desert! What Pokemon will we meet there? The answer is to come, as the journey continues!
