Chapter 274

The Zhao family had handed over Wang Yiran to Meng Xuan Li and she had asked her brother to torture Wang Yiran as much as he could. Meng Jian's men had taken Wang Yiran to a deserted place where she was locked up in a small room. The room was so small that a person could not stand straight or stretch their legs. Instructions were given that no one should speak a word to her and they should give her food only once a day, which was stale bread. Since this room was in the basement, no sunlight entered the place and the damp room had an awful stench that the moment Wang Yiran entered the cell she started puking. But this was not a hotel room where people would clean up after her and her fate has been doomed to stay in that tiny cell the rest of her life. She struggled against the men holding her to escape from them but they forcefully shoved her into the tiny room and locked the door. Wang Yiran had tried everything she could like banging the door, kicking the door and screaming at the top of her lungs, but there was no response from the other end. Soon she lost all her energy and the room had gone silent. Wang Yiran had tried going on a hunger strike, but when she came to know that without eating that stale bread she would die, she slowly gave up and ate the bread. The stench in the small cell was making her nauseous and she wanted to puke her guts out but nothing came out. As the thought set in her mind that she could no longer leave that cell, Wang Yiran wanted to kill herself but there was no option to do even that. Without being able to stretch her legs or stand properly, Wang Yiran finally understood in what position she was. Initially she thought that her mother would save her, but as days went by, slowly she lost hope and gave up on everything.

After that day, no word was heard about Wang Yiran or Zhao Ming Mei and that was the end of them both. The young actor who was with Zhao Ming Mei and Wang Yiran's boyfriend had also been taken into their custody. Wang Yiran's boyfriend who was her school teacher had recently divorced his wife and when a rich girl like Wang Yiran approached him, he immediately started dating her. He had also lost his job and Wang Yiran came to him when he was at the worst part of his life and so he had no issue in doing everything she wanted. He thought that Wang Yiran would save him if any problem arises but Wang Yiran couldn't save herself, how could she save him?

And just like that, the lives of four people were over.

Zhao Ming Mei's name was removed completely from the company after that day. An announcement was posted on the company notice board regarding the transfer of Zhao Ming Mei and it looked like she had been banished to some third world country. No one in the company was truly interested in Zhao Ming Mei and they were only relieved that the witch Zhao Ming Mei had at last left the company. Especially the people who worked directly under Zhao Ming Mei were celebrating that they no longer had to struggle under her. So no one tried to even inquire where she was or if she was alive. Rumors were floating in the company regarding this but slowly people forgot about Zhao Ming Mei and continued with their lives.

A week passed and Mrs. Wang tried everything she could, but the Wang family and Zhao family did not change their mind. They had already made up their mind and they were not willing to change anything. Just like that, Zhao Ming Mei and Wang Yiran's fate was sealed.

A month later, to celebrate Zhao Dong Hai being appointed as the Vice President of the company and Li Zi Yun returning to the family, the Zhao family had arranged a party. Li Zi Yun had changed her family name to Zhao as per her Grandfather's wish and the Zhao family wanted to announce that officially so that everyone knows the truth about Li Zi Yun that she belongs to Zhao family.

Regarding Zhao Ming Mei and Wang Yiran, the Wang family and Zhao family had no issues in maintaining secrecy about what happened in the family so that no news was leaked outside. Many people noticed Zhao Ming Mei's absence but no one had the guts to ask what happened.

The people who came to attend the party noticed the absence of Zhao Ming Mei but they kept their mouth shut. The word about Zhao Ming Mei trying to get the vice president position in the company had spread out and most of them had come to the conclusion that Zhao Ming Mei's absence had something to do with it, but no one's guess came close to the truth. Most of the people who were close with the Zhao family were aware that Grandfather Zhao was very strict and he valued discipline more than anything else. Therefore, when Zhao Ming Mei openly revolted, the board members have expected some action to be taken, but they did not expect it be so extreme. But still no one inquired about Zhao Ming Mei.

Zhao Zi Yun was standing at the top of the stairs and observing the party that was going on. It felt nice to know that all her enemies have been taken care off. Zhao Zi Yun did not have to watch her back constantly and with both the Zhao family and Wang family present there, she did not have to worry about the security. The security was tight in the place so everyone was a bit relaxed now but they were also alert at the same time.

The party began and Grandfather Zhao had proudly presented Zhao Zi Yun as his granddaughter in front of family along with Zhao Dong Hai who had taken an important position in the company.

Both Zhao family and Wang family were present in the party and the party lasted till late night and it was almost late night when all the guests left the party. Both the families were sad that their daughters were not present with them but they also could not forgive them for their actions. They were aware that they would no longer be able to see their daughter anymore but still they had no choice other than to let go of them.

The party was over at last and everyone had left except the Zhao family. They were busy talking that they did not notice the man who entered the hall and with a gun. Everyone looked at the man only when they heard a gunshot and turned towards the door.

Zhao Zi Yun looked in shock as the gun was pointed towards her. Wang Yu pulled Zhao Zi Yun towards him as soon as he saw what was happening.

Meng Xuan Li was the first one to scream out, "You!!!"

While everyone turned towards Meng Xuan Li for an explanation, Wang Yu and Zhao Zi Yun's eyes were fixed on the man who was ready to murder them.

Meng Xuan Li yelled in a high pitch voice, "He was the one who killed my children"
