The deal

"It is something important. I have a deal to make to you." said Mr. Yuan. "I thought that you were a little good for nothing, but now I do realise you are good for something. You found someone like him." he added, turning to Yuan Zuan.

Si Xia: "You guys do remember that I am standing right here, don't you?"

Mr. Yuan: "Well of course. I must say, I am impressed by your character. I would like you to establish a company."

Si Xia: "Well I would like to establish one too, but you know, not everyone can just throw a gazillion dollars in a company."

Mr. Yuan: "Yes. I am aware of that. So that is why I will invest in your company."

Si Xia: "Hmm...."

Mr. Yuan: "And my dear Zuan here has a brilliant code, on which your company will be based."

Si Xia: "You know, I'm not a naive boy. What do you want in return?"

Mr. Yuan: "We will discuss that after you have seen the code."

So Yuan Zuan brought a laptop, plugged in a pen drive, and showed him the code. It would have taken no genius to figure out that it was a great code, and Si Xia was already studying programming. But as soon as he saw some lines, he stuttered, "But that-that is Chi Chi's." Then his voice rose as he shouted, "THAT'S CHI CHI'S. YOU... YUAN ZUAN,..YOUUU...."

Then he turned to Mr. Yuan and said, "No, I refuse. This program does not belong to your daughter and I will be taking it to it's rightful owner."

With that he pulled the pen drive out of the laptop and started walking towards the exit.

Mr. Yuan said, "You will stop right there, boy. You do not know about my power."

Si Xia turned, "Oh I do. I very well do. Zuan here would never shut up about it at school. But I also know that you won't harm me, because I am important for your profits. And I have no one in my life that you can hurt, I am an orphan. So you see, I am going to leave, good day."

But as he turned around to walk out, a voice came from behind, "But what about this Chi Chi?"

Si Xia's footsteps halted. Mr. Yuan knew that his words were working, so he continued, "I very well know that my daughter stole this code from a girl. And I am offering you to build up a company with this code, otherwise Chi Chi, or should I say, Yu Chen would face the consequences."

Si Xia turned, "So what's the price of this code?"

Mr. Yuan: "You really are a smart boy. I like you. You ar going to do two things, first you are going to get engaged to my daughter, and get married after your company is set up."

Si Xia: "And?..."

Mr. Yuan: "And secondly, you are going to break this girl's little heart and never have any contact with her ever again."

Si Xia had accepted the deal. Well, it was not like he had any choice after all, he did it so Chi Chi would be safe.
