Sometime passed and Dimitri went to knock on Sera's door. He heard silence from the room and worried for a second about what was happening behind the door.

Lucien had a menacing look on his face and sera noticed it. She sat staring at him wondering what was going on behind that look. "What's on your mind?" She asked. He looked at her and the look changed back to a normal calm face. "Nothing much, just marriage. Do you know anything about who I am or have your parents told you of their arrangements?" He confessed. At that moment her heart fell into her stomach. 'Why the hell is he talking about marriage? I just met the dude. The hell?'
"What about marriage? I don't plan on getting married anytime soon, if ever." She almost yelled. Now, her dad had been alerted and he was bounding into the room. "I hard loud voices." Dimitri said in a dad tone. In all the years that Sera has been alive she had never really gotten to see her father with the panicked dad look or even get the tone that went with the look. It was actually quite amusing and it made her feel warm and protected. She had never really been a daddy's girl and he always seemed so serious that she was scared to act like her friends with their dads. In many ways she was envious of her friends relationships with their parents. Most of the time they had these close and endearing moments while Sera had a more cold and aloof type relationship. Maybe it was cause they socialized so much or maybe it was her doing?
She always felt like she was a bother to her parents so, she tried her best in everything that way she wouldn't be a bother. She got good grades, made decent friends, and even avoided boys; til now that is. "We are fine dad, no need to worry." Sera patted her dad on the shoulder. He sighed, "I'm sorry I heard you get upset and I knew you were alone with a man. Forgive me for bursting in, but it is time for Lucien to speak with me." She looked at her father lovingly and hugged him "okay please take this weirdo away daddy." This is when she applied the teachings of Izzy and batted her eyes and pouted her lips to appear innocent like a little girl.
When Lucien witnessed this little girl (she was about 6 years younger) acting so pure it annoyed him. It was a whole different story for Dimitri, he was finally getting the sweet little girl he always wanted, but never received. "Come weirdo, lets discuss the business at hand" Dimitri slapped Lucien on the back. The two men then left Sera to be alone with her thoughts.

As soon as they were out of her earshot they started discussing something that sounded important. " Why didn't you tell her that we're engaged!?! Lucien demanded. "It didn't benefit her to know. We were planning on announcing it today we figured she would find out then too." Dimitri shrugged because public humiliation never crossed his mind. "Don't you think that Miss Seraphina will be upset?" Lucien inquired seeming concerned about the issue. Lucien went on, "I'm guessing that she has no idea she's a witch either." it seemed that the mighty Dimitri didn't have words to say, which confirmed Lucien's statement. 'How could her parents keep so many secrets from her? Especially since these are big secrets. How is she supposed to be the future wife of the head of the coven if she hasn't even learned the basics of her powers?' Lucien was starting to get a headache from all his questions and then started to rub his temples.
"I see that you have a lot on your mind," Dimitri observed. Lucien looked at him with anger in his eyes and scorn in his smile. Seeing that ruthless look Dimitri took a step away from him and looked like he wanted to speak. "Don't speak it will only piss me off more. How could you be so stupid? She needed to know the truth 10 years ago so she could be at a decent level with her powers. How is she supposed to be my wife in less than 2 months if she can't even cast a simple protection spell?" He growled.
